We have been going to Allergy and Asthma Center of Texas for 2-3 years. This year, we had to change insurance companies and I planned to find another provider for our allergy visits. However, at our visit today, Kisha Long was so kind, honest, and professional that I decided we should stay-despite our insurance not being in network. Just like previous appointments, she took the time to make sure all my questions were answered, asked how my family was doing, and treated me like a friend as well as a patient.

Was super nervous coming in, but one of the employees named Kennedy really helped calm my nerves, she was awesome!

Always a wonderful atmosphere filled with bright, shining smiles! My three sons never complain while we’re here, and they always ask to see Kennedy because of how friendly she is.

Very surprised. Tried to make an appointment only to be told that they do not take Medicare. I also have a supplemental policy. First Doctor I've come across that does not take any Medicare insurance.

I recently had an experience with this center and unfortunately, I cannot recommend their services. Prior to creating an appointment, I was not informed of any cancellation fees that may apply if I needed to cancel or reschedule my appointment. This lack of disclosure led to an unpleasant surprise when I needed to cancel my appointment and was informed that I would be charged a cancellation fee. If this was my experience as a first-time patient, I can't imagine the treatment of current patients.

Furthermore, there was no option to cancel my appointment through the online portal or text service, which was a major inconvenience. As someone with a busy schedule, I rely on the convenience of online booking and scheduling, and the inability to cancel my appointment through the portal or over text was frustrating.

While I cannot comment on the quality of care provided by this allergy and asthma center, the lack of transparency and convenience in their appointment booking and cancellation process has left a negative impression on me. I would caution others to carefully review the terms and conditions before scheduling an appointment with this center, and do not trust them to provide the necessary information over the phone.

TLDR: front desk is rude and unhelpful

I have had issues with skincare/make-up allergies and contact dermatitis for the past year and have been desperate to find the source ingredients for my issues - my dermatologist recommended patch testing and that I visit an allergist. I called the front desk to make the usual and necessary medical inquiries one does before visiting a doctor and deciding (do you take my insurance, what is the typical cost for a visit and the patch testing, what is the patch testing procedure for this location). The front desk receptionist I spoke with was EXTREMELY rude and gave me attitude at almost every question I asked. I wanted to clarify if I could get a list of ingredients that would be tested (my dermatologist told me that patch tests are standardized) and cross reference them against the ingredients in skincare and make up that is causing me issues to see if the patch testing would even be helpful - I was met with attitude and her saying "google it. " I clarified with her if the patch testing was standardized or different based on the consultation (she mentioned that before patch testing, a consultation meeting was necessary), and she kept flipping her answer between "google it, it's standard" and "we'll decide what we can patch test at your consultation. " I wanted to know details about the patch test procedure (such as timeline, when I can shower, when the patches come off) since this is a standard procedure and will not change even depending on what patches/ingredients I test. I was met with extreme attitude and condescension from her when I repeated her answers to clarify for myself and make sure - her answers at first pass, by the way, were incorrect and she had to correct herself. Her condescension and behavior was unacceptable and extremely rude, and at this point, it is hard for me to even consider going to this location even with the raving reviews of the doctors because a simple conversation with whoever picked up the phone was so ridiculous. I am extremely disappointed that a simple conversation turned so disrespectful so fast. It’s ok to be confused and for her to not know the answer to some of my questions, but it’s not okay for her to get snippy and rude with me while answering those questions. This kind of behavior with someone who is respectfully asking you basic questions is NOT okay, and if i could give this review 0 stars I would.
