DON'T GO TO THIS DENTAL GROUP! My husband went to Allington Dental for a tooth extraction. He has dental insurance and the office ran his insurance and determined the exact amount allowed by the insurance and the portion to be paid by the patient. However, they charged my husband the full amount which included the portion the insurance would pay. We received the insurance claim statement which reflected that my husband had overpaid by $130. On May24th, I called asking for a refund and found it curious that after verifying my husband overpaid, the billing department asked me, "So, do you want me to initiate a refund? " I responded, "Yes. " I mean, duh. Did they think I would say, "No, you can keep it. " Initially, after waiting a month for the refund, I contacted the billing department at the dental office again and was informed it would take six to eight weeks to receive a refund. After two months and no check, the third time I called the dental office, I was given the number for the corporate billing department in Georgia. Three months and four phone calls later we are still waiting for the refund. Each time I call, I'm told the refund has been released but they haven't mailed the check. During the last phone call, I stated this could have been avoided if the dental office had charged my husbad the patient portion initially, as all of our previous other dental offices had done. Evidently, according to the corporate office personnel, this is a standard practice by Allington Dental. I'm positive Allington Dental pockets all of the over-charges they receive from patients who don't request a refund. Most honest companies would have refunded the overbillled amount without requiring a request. I will be filing a complaint through our insurance agency.
Allington Dental wanted to do a root canal on my tooth. However, seeking further advice, I sought second and third opinions from different dentists. Both dentists unequivocally stated that a root canal is unnecessary and detrimental to my tooth, which is currently in good health. When I informed Allington Dental about my decision to switch to a different dentist, they showed little interest in hearing the reason for my departure, suggesting a lack of willingness to address any concerns or make improvements.

Not familiar with dental terminology but the dental doctor and most of his assistants were pleasant, worked efficiently. Staff not so much. I don't know what position Jessica holds, but she should be removed from the company. My daughter was getting a filling done so I went into the room to examine the tools. I noticed the dental tools have rust on them (thought it was blood). Anyway, Jessica storms in the room with the worse demeanor ever. Telling me I can step out of her way and asking why im examining their tools. Well, because I don't want my daughter to contract hepatitis and other life threatening illnesses or diseases! Jessica is literally making hand movements in my face while telling me to move out of her way. After this. Jessica continues to try to argue with me infront of my other two children. I asked her to remove herself from us because I will not allow her to argue in front of my children. So instead of removing herself she escalates the situation by standing in front of me and my children. Just standing there trying to intimate us while giving me weird looks. I asked for the director and was greeted by a receptionist who asked me not to call Jessica a b word. Address your employee instead of me. Why don't you find out why Jessica was called a b word. She intentionally provoked the situation over RUSTY DENTAL TOOLS! As we walked out my two oldest children (12 and 7) informed me that Jessica was giving me "dirty" looks behind my back. Why would anyone do that in front of children? ! Also, I never received an explanation as to why the dental tools have rust on them or any health issues regarding the matter
