The Nigerian guy at the front desk was so.rude.he used words like "calm down " when questioning why has my card been charged twice. He also starred at my and rolled his eyes when I asked to have the number to customer service

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH MARRIOT.
Decided to stay here for only one night to rest and recharged to continue my trip to South Texas. When I walked in, the two ladies at the counter ignored and were not courteous. Noticed they were distracted on their phones. Gave me a room and notice the "dark" aperance of the surroundings, like they gave the furniture a cheap makeover, when I walked in to the room a lady half naked started screaming and I turn around an apologize. I was furious because of this incident and asked to speak with thmanagerer. Obviously, I told him my view of the problem (both ladys distracted on their phones and not paying attention). He gave me the excuse of the system they use was outdated. The owner came and asked me what happened, and he got mad when I pointed out all the problems from the beginning of my visit there, to what he told me to "get out of his Hotel" which I did promptly and Happier!
Do Yourself a Favor and DONT STAY THERE, Not up to the Standards of Marriott.

The rooms are loud and you will hear everything your neighbor is doing especially the upstairs neighbor.

No place to work in room, tried lobby but too loud. Speaking of loud there was an event going on Friday night that was so loud out floor and walls were shaking. Rather than apologizing or answering the phone when we called: 0 (they just moved us. Never cleaned our room during the entire week we were there.

The best thing going for this hotel is its location and how new/clean it is. Otherwise it is a mess!

For an Aloft, the rooms were relatively bare. I got a handicap room that I didn’t request for, with no option to change. The shower controls and the drain didn’t work well. The TV was glitchy; the remote didn’t work. I called the front desk on both days and no one answered. I went down and personally reported the TV issue and they said they would resolve it but 12 hours later, nothing. The gym didn’t have towels nor any wipes to clean equipment down. Overall would not recommend.

Simple requests for tv repairs gone unfulfilled, indifferent reception staff, and worn lobby amenities like they were sourced from garage sales. But at least the mall is across the road I suppose.

Pool table? Yep! Pool ball cues? Nope! And when you ask if they have any, no one knows, not even management.

I attended an event and observed that it has facilities with very good lighting and atmosphere

I picked this hotel because it looked nice and fun and said it had a continental breakfast, bar, and restraunt. It literally has zero of those. The bar is there but I asked 3 different staff workers on hours and all gave me different hours causing me to miss the bar every night. The bar was also supposed to have food.they did not. It's advertised on the TV in the rooms about the bar food and breakfast and when I asked staff about it all I got was "yes, the website is misleading. " And " I don't know anything about our tvs". No one actually cared about any frustrations guests had. I asked for a manager and there was not one there, they took my name and number and said one would call.its been 3 days now and no call. Don't stay here unless all you want is a bed to sleep in. The hotel is pretty, the rooms are nice (except the shower, you literally have to get in to turn it on so you get cold and wet immediately) but they do not offer anything they advertise. They didn't even have water for us to buy. They offered us a small water cup for the fountain. Like come on.really? ! I've stayed in some shady hotels that cost half the price as this one and still offered atleast a go breakfast.

Lobby and bar are welcoming. Pool table and fireplace nice touch.
The rooms are clean and contemporary. The location is across the parking lot from a indoor mall and movie theater.
The room noise can be a bit much as it has hard floor coverage and allows less noise buffer. Ask for 4th floor.and if you have kids please ask for the 1st floor.

Don’t stay here! Not only was the service horrific, and they tend to lie. The room itself had ants and other small bugs. Steer away from this hotel.

Dirty bathroom, no door separating the bathroom from the room, sheets smell bad…

This hotel is decently located, although I didn’t explore much. It was easy enough to walk to the mall to kill time and find food.

Cleanliness is fine but noticed some spots and streaks throughout the bathroom- it’s clear that they don’t do a thorough clean.

Staff was friendly enough- if you interacted with them first. It’s a sort of quiet and unbothered approach to service.

The biggest complaint is not much seemed to be “as advertised”. Upon checkin I was told the bartender/server didn’t show up to work so no drinks or food service was available. I was told the tv might not work (it did), the fridge in my room wasn’t staying on (was told “yeah I’ve heard some fridges don’t work”). I was told breakfast was available 6: 30-9: 30 (bagels, scrambled eggs, toast) but on day two I went downstairs at 7: 15am and nothing was set up- no breakfast.

I slept fine, I guess that’s all I can ask for. Other than that, I won’t select this hotel again.

This will be my first time staying here so I’ll give an initial review based on the first impression. Very sheik and modernized. Love the color scheme and decor. Check in took all of 5 minutes. The hotel sits in the front door of Katy Mills Mall where literally LIFE is at your fingertips. Cheesecake Factory, Rainforest Cafe, AMC Theater…. Amazing choice

I have had a long term stay here at Aloft Katy. Nothing but Great service! Amira and staff are exceptional when it comes to your customer needs! AMAZING STAY!
