Alpha Montessori, Plano TX

We have had at least one child in Alpha Montessori since 2014. Our oldest is now in elementary school, and the foundation she got in Alpha has helped her to excel years later. Our daughter was a very shy 18 month old when she started at Alpha. I don't think she uttered a word for the first month she was there. Her teachers were so patient with her; letting her adjust at her own pace, and she blossomed at Alpha. We love how she was taught to her strengths, at her own speed, using her interests to guide her.

The teachers at Alpha allow all the students to learn at their own levels; the class doesn't have to learn the same things at once. The teachers know exactly where every child is learning and can easily juggle the workload. And because of that, our daughter was empowered to learn more. Even now, while she is in elementary school, she is doing school work well above her grade level (her teacher is having trouble finding advanced enough lessons for her). I give the credit for that to Alpha Montessori. She was never taught that there was an arbitrary cap to the school work her age group could learn or that there is only one way ("the right way") to learn. Alpha fostered a challenging and fun learning environment and used her natural learning tendencies to shape her lessons.

When it was time to put our youngest in daycare, we knew we wanted him to go to Alpha Montessori, too. He has a very different personality and even learns differently than his sister. Still, the teachers and environment at Alpha have helped him to grow and learn tremendously. One of our favorite things about Alpha is the independence our children gain from going there. They want to be able to do things for themselves, and aren't satisfied with having everything handed to them or done for them.

This school has been a blessing to my family. I am thoroughly impressed with how my son developed upon going to this school. The staff is helpful, and the owner listens to parent's suggestions. I love how they treat my son like he is one of their own. I highly recommend this school to parents, it will truly help in your child's educational and social development.

AMS provides excellent childcare. They make sure to incorporate several learning lessons each day. The staff are knowledgeable and well trained, they take interest not just in the child they care but support the entire family. We moved from Houston to Plano in July of 2019, when our son was 7-month-old. AMS teachers made his transition to the new school smooth and pleasant for us. My 17-month-old has been attending for almost a year now after spending 4 months at a different center and he has more confidence that ever and is learning at an amazing rate. My daughter has been going to Alpha Montessori School for 3 years now and it has been a delightful journey for us! The initial days were hard for her, but the teachers specifically Ms. Lavanya were really kind, patient and understood the needs of my daughter very well and eventually she started enjoying going to school. When she had to move to her primary class from the toddler section, the teachers again went out of their way to make sure the transition was smooth. Ms. Dilshad has played an instrumental role in all of my daughter’s educational development and progress, my daughter has been doing really well thanks to the guidance of the teachers! The Montessori method of education has truly been an awesome and inspiring experience for my daughter.

The children are exposed to a beautiful, culturally diverse environment at Alpha. They learn about the different festivals celebrated across the world; AMS holiday musical is our Christmas celebration, then there is Diwali, the Chinese New Year, world peace day, to name a few.

The wide range of extra curricular offerings are also an added advantage, my daughter just loves her abrakadoodle art classes and SNG dance classes; she does some lovely art and craft work!

Alpha Montessori also provides opportunities for the parents to volunteer, in turn giving us a chance to support the school and our children; I believe this is a wonderful way to involve parents!

I would like to thank the Owner/Head of the school, Ms. Rupali for her impeccable management even during these challenging times of COVID19. The school has stepped up incredibly well keeping in mind all the CDC guidelines and licensing regulations, to ensure a completely safe, hygienic and protected environment for the children.
A special mention regarding the charity initiatives at this school by Ms. Rupali; Charity starts from home and Alpha focuses on charity and giving back through their year long activities, the Kids Heart Challenge, Art Festival fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Charity Drive for Charlotte, UNICEF donations, Angel Tree with the Salvation Army etc.

Ms. Rupali’s vision of giving every child a chance at genuine Montessori education has been more than true for my daughter.

Choosing a childcare center is selecting a coparenting partner, as realistically, the instructors spend more waking hours with our babies than we do. Of course, we are highly critical and selective of who we trust to coparent our babies.

We highly recommend Alpha Montessori for its focus on childhood development, in addition to its handling of the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Alpha Montessori is run by a pediatrician, Dr. Rupali, whose medical and childcare expertise have been paramount.

Alpha Montessori is a highly organized center of dedicated educators who prioritize the "whole person" development of our children. Under Dr. Rupali's direction, Alpha Montessori serves as a developmental mecca characterized by a broad focus on educational, cultural, nutritional, health, physical fitness, and humanitarian objectives for little minds and bodies to flourish. We love the diverse cultural education that our girls have enjoyed.

Additionally, Alpha Montessori focuses heavily on nutrition and health, and employs professional chefs who prepare preservative-free fresh food. We thought that our babies may be turned off by the full vegetarian menu, but the school suggested that we send meat to supplement their meals. Shockingly, our little carnivores LOVE the food; so, we have never had to send any meat.

COVID-19 HANDLING
Unlike many places, Dr. Rupali is dedicated to providing safe, healthy, quality education and child care during the pandemic. She recognizes that many of her parents are working professionals whose careers require us to be fully engaged during the pandemic to provide essential services to meet the needs of the American people.

As an essential service, Alpha did not simply close down and rely on government funding. The dedicated staff made the sacrifice to continue providing care. This further evidences Alpha's focus on educational development and mental health of its children whose little minds require constant development even during a pandemic.

NO ABSENTEE FEES CHARGED RE: COVID-19
I must comment on Dr. Rupali's sensitivity to the financial impact of the pandemic on the parents. The communication and transparency have been incredible. We all know the center requires funding to continue functioning. Typically, if a center is open and a parent elects to keep their child at home the parent is still charged full price to hold the spot.

Dr. Rupali did the exact opposite! The first month of the shelter order she did not charge tuition at all. The next month, she STILL DID NOT CHARGE A FEE! Instead, the center assessed a minimal place-holding deposit of $250, which will be credited towards the child's account upon their return! I was so surprised that Alpha did not charge a fee and simply credited the deposits to the accounts. That is incredibly generous. We returned to the center in April 2020, and our place-holding deposit was immediately credited towards our child's tuition.

HEALTH AND SAFETY RE: COVID-19
As a pediatrician, Dr. Rupuli's health and safety measures have been impeccable, and the classrooms are ideally suited since Montessori naturally lends itself towards social distancing. Alpha Montessori established a parent-free center with a separate room at the front where an instructor engages the child (with full masks, gloves, etc.), checks their temperature and for any signs of illness, and removes their shoes. Thus, even a runny nose disqualifies attendance during the pandemic, as safety is paramount. Additionally, the staff and children wear masks provided and cleaned by Alpha, and all shoes are sanitized and replaced when entering the classrooms. Outside items and food are restricted to an absolute necessary minimum. These safety measures and others have helped us provide essential services while our babies are safe and nurtured.

While highly impressive, this is the high level of care that we have come to expect from Alpha, even before the pandemic.

We are confident that our babies are in good hands, which provides us assurance to trust Alpha Montessori as coparents.

My kids have been with Alpha Montessori Plano location for more than 5 years now and we feel that the choice we made is right for them! Wonderful teachers who are passionate and friendly. They understand each kid's potential and work accordingly. We love alpha and would highly recommend them!

I saw lots of change in my kid after he moved to Alpha @ Frisco location. He had lots of fun, learning and good care along with healthy lunches. I highly recommend AMS.

When we moved from Europe we didn’t Know about the schools in Frisco. We wanted a Montessori school because we like the way to teach and learn. After visiting many schools we decided to signed our daughter up in Alpha Montessori and we did right. Our daughter is happy and she is learning every day. She is motivated to learn many things and she enjoy with her friends. Her teachers are sweet and they know how to encourage and motivate the children. We are very satisfied with our choice.

Ms. Rupali and her team always do a great job! I highly recommend her daycare. Our daughter attended her school for 8 mos and then we moved! Loved it!

We sent our three kids (triplets) to Alpha Montessori at the Rasor Blvd.location for the last 2 years until they transitioned to elementary school. Our experience has been very positive with Ms. Rupali and the entire staff at AMS. We had complete trust that the kids were in good hands and well taken care of. The teachers were very helpful as well and accommodating with their different needs to get them used to the school.

Best choice for kids, if you want kids learn something everyday, the teachers are very good, Mrs Radhika, is one of the best teacher I know.

Alpha Montessori was the perfect choice for our son. He attended for two years and in that time he grew by leaps and bounds, both in his practical life and independence, but also in his academic confidence. He is entering Kindergarten this fall as a very strong reader who also loves math and science. I am thankful to his Alpha teachers for fostering a love for learning and problem solving.

My 2 year old has been going to Alpha (Rasor) since September, 2015. We are happy with her Teachers. Both Ms Antonette and Ms Roya take good care of my daughter and she loves to go to school everyday! A very friendly staff who help you in whatever way they can. All the amenities in the classroom and outside are child friendly and very unique, unlike the regular day cares around the area. We are glad to have chosen Alpha Montessori.

Great for toddlers and pre-k kids. They conduct lots of activities to keep kids busy and interested. Teachers are awesome, give individual attention to each child and form a bond with children.
