Amarillo Botanical Gardens reviews
14The employees were very friendly and helpful. We got some fish food to feed the beautiful Koi fish. The flowers were gorgeous as well as all the small little gardens and ornaments. We also saw a little turtle making his way through the gardens. Loved it!
Last night of the "Music in the Gardens" for this season was great. Geezers Gone Wild did an awesome job. The Amarillo Botanical Gardens has done a lot of improvements and it shows. If you have not been to the gardens, you are missing out.
Just beautiful and very well done. Thank you to wise people who placed this near / on the Harrington Medical campus.
Beautiful gardens with a variety of plants and flowers to see, but without a map of how things are arranged or what areas are off limits, it makes back tracking part of the experience. The maintenance paths should be clearly marked, especially around the vegetable garden area, and dead-end paths seem strange in a circular garden. Most of the plants and flowers were not marked, so a good map could help with that as well. Overall, it was worth the visit, but for the $8 adult price, some people may want it to take more than 60-90 minutes to see everything. They do offer a free military service discount, so that is a positive.
I bought a yearly pass, but I thought hi wouldn't spend much time there, but it became a very lovely place to spend time alone while I read a book. Listen to audiobook, walked around looking at the beauty they work so very hard to establish just sorta let your soul free from worry, and the busyness of day.
Beautiful gardens. Very tranquil environment to relax and take in your surroundings.
Had pleasant conversations with very friendly people.
All and all a very enjoyable experience!
We are always thrilled with our visits to the Amarillo Botanical Gardens. The workers and volunteers put so much effort and LOVE into the gardens, and it always shows! My family loves to go multiple times a year and see how the flower beds change with the seasons. Thanks for making such a beautiful space!
It's a small botanical garden but very lovingly arranged. It is a joy to be here. Wish I had brought a book to just sit under one of the many shaded benches and enjoy the place a little longer. You can easily see most things in the span of 30 minutes but just sit down and enjoy being there.
So cool and definitely worth going inside and looking around. They were so many different types of flowers and everything is laid out really nice for you to be able to see everything with not a whole lot of walking.
My wife joined after we moved here a couple years ago. I went for the first time a few weeks ago. Small but a very nice collection.
Overpriced, paid $8 per kid over 5 and I had 5 with me all under 12 so it cost $40 just for kids. Had some good views, but not enough for the kids to warrant that price.
Beautiful gardens, including herbs and vegetables. Carefully tended. Also has an indoor atrium for tropical plants.
This is a great little escape from the city. The gardens are interesting with several themes highlighting different plants. The tropical display is thriving and full of a variety of plants/colors
I always loved going here super pretty plants and just area all around I can't wait to take my kids
