The wait was long for my sick pet, but we were a walk in, and other people did have scheduled appointments. The doctor and staff were very gentle and caring, and compassionate in caring for my dying baby, so I would definitely give them all 5 stars for that. They even offered me coffee and protein bars and gave me a bottled water because our visit was so long. I would recommend them as the place to take your pet. Their end of life care for my cat was excellent.

I have been coming to the Amarillo vet clinic since I was 13. Last Thursday my dog hermines got in a fight with one of my other dogs and had a puncture wound. The staff was excellent and took care of my baby. A week later she is healed as if it never happened. 10/10.

We have been taking our dogs here for the past couple of years. Our female recently was sick with intestinal problems and she was given antibiotics and fluids to replace those she was loosing. Now she is running around and playing with her babies. Our next puppy was a transfer from Small animal emergency, where he received plasma and IV's due to his ingestion of poison. The staff here also went above and beyond by securing a blood donor dog to help our furbaby survive. The staff here makes you feel like family and we know our babies our comfortable here. Thank you for everything.

If I could give them less than one star I certainly would. I took my dog in because he was itchy and not feeling well. She didn’t have any idea what was wrong with my dog and ordered several tests and meds. When I had questions the vet tech couldn’t even tell me what the meds were or what was causing his itchiness. So Donna comes in and she wasn’t much better. She didn’t tell me what was wrong with him so I finally agreed to an allergy shot and said we would go from there. The next day my dog starts coughing really bad and is feeling worse. We went and took him back to them against my better judgement and she ordered 800 dollars worth of tests. We talked and I agreed to 300 dollars in tests. She still didn’t give us a diagnosis. We took him home to see if he would improve. He got worse so I called and we went to take him in again the next day and she wanted to repeat the tests she had just done two days ago! When I talked to her on the phone she said we would do an antibiotic shot and that’s why I agreed to take him in again. When I got there the tech informed of the repeat blood work and two chest scans she wanted to do which would have been another 300 dollars in tests. Still no diagnosis. I told her no that we would take him somewhere else and she said yes an emergency vet maybe what he needs. The techs are inexperienced and the vet Donna just wants to run test after test to pad your bill. Thank goodness I didn’t listen to this “vet” and I called swann animal clinic. I have been going to Amarillo vet clinic for so long I forgot what a real vet office is like. It’s was night and day different. Turns out my dog got kennel cough from Amarillo vet clinic on our first visit there (they never steamed or disinfected behind my dog so I’m sure they didn’t after any others) and Donna was so incompetent she couldn’t even diagnose that. If you love your pet and you don’t want to throw your money away please go anywhere else but here!

Friendly establishment took very good care of my dog the receptionist, Bonnie very nice and caring.

I spoke with someone on the phone last week about scheduling a teeth cleaning for my dog, I had taken her to another vet they said she needed a teeth clean and to be put under anesthesia because it was bad. So I called this place and told them about the situation they scheduled an appointment I specifically told them she was not up to date on her vaccinations if I needed to come in before and get that taken care of first she said no that they could do everything in one session. I am moving soon, they decided to call me the day before the appointment and said that she needs a wellness exam first because their system showed she hadn’t had one in over a year. But instead of telling me that when i spoke with them they waited until the day before. Which they said would be delaying everything another two weeks. I told them I wished y’all would have told me sooner rather then the day before and the lady said “well mistakes happen”. But i feel like this mistake could have been avoided had they told me that when I asked them if I needed to do anything before. Luckily hope vet clinic was able to help me fix my situation before I have to head back to college soon.

I took my elderly cat in for an abscess in his mouth. Dr Donna and Karen, vet tech were able to drain it but additionally diagnosed my cat with a deadly disease called Feline AIDS. It was explained to me how my cat was in excruciating pain all of the time. He was very friendly and a happy purring baby and I wasn’t aware of his pain. That this was the beginning of even worse symptoms and he would only decline and have more pain. It was a heartbreaking diagnosis. However I received a phone call from LeAnna receptionist, while he was still sedated and she explained the disease and prognosis in great depth. I was able to make an intelligent decision to let my kitty go to heaven and not suffer anymore. I cannot thank Dr Donna, the vet tech Karen and LeAnna enough for their very kind and considerate care at such a hard time. I recommend Amarillo Vet Clinic for all of your animal care needs.

Worst vet I been to been waiting for 1 1/2 hrs just for one shot an wasn’t even noticed

The vet knew immediately what was wrong with my pet and quickly ran tests to confirm. She explained very thoroughly each step and why it was necessary along with adjusting the estimate with what was needed. When a plan was set she gave me time to sort my payment options and I did not feel rushed or judged. My pet needed emergency surgery and the vet made sure to show me the x-rays along with what was corrected in surgery I felt very informed on a condition I had never heard of and also found that this made it easier to trust them with my pet. My dog is like brand new she is 10 years old and it is like I got a puppy back she is feeling great and I am glad to have my friend back. Will be returning for regular visits.

Will make you wait a hour over appointment time, if not more. It’s happened everytime I’ve came here.

Very professional, twice we've been traveling through, and they took good care of our dogs. Reasonably priced.

Our 3 month old pug has done very well with their care. They have excellent staff members & are caring.

In that clinic, when I went, I was there at the time of the appointment and people who came after me attended to him and they did the same thing as me, filling out the papers and etc. These people do not attend to you at the time that your appointment is supposed to be, but the most I think there is a certain racism, I am Latino, my appointment was for 10 in the morning and it was almost 12 and they had not attended to me, more and more people passed by after me and they did not say anything to me so I decided to leave but these people are not going to attend to you If you are Latin and they are going to make you wait a long time, at least I won't come back again.

Received a call from their front desk informing me that the medication for my dog was ready for pick up.she was very rude and unprofessional on the phone. I told her I will have to call someone to go pick them up for me but she didn’t even give me a chance to finish talking. She said “I’m just going to cancel this and rudely hang up the phone on me! I don’t appreciate the customer service and will be taking my pets elsewhere from now on.
