I am very pleased with Ambrosia for their thorough accommodations to my special occasion. They use Yelp to make reservations which made things convenience for me. I was able to communicate with the restaurant on what I needed upon the arrival of my large party. They were informative and fast in responding. There was a special reservation card placed on our table with our names beautiful printed on.

Located in a neighborhood, small parking lot in the front and street parking around. The unique interior gave off an intimate and trendy ambience. This was part of the reasons why I picked this place. You can dress up, but without the whole ballgowntuxedo. We came just in time for their happy hour menu. Good selections, we got to try a few before moving on their full menu.

The food here is Asian fusion. When I asked the management about the background, he provided interesting insights on their chef and how their menu is a combinations of Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and etc. Since this place is tapas style, you can get a taste of everything if you share with a group. I think we ordered almost everything off the menu.

I won't go into details of each dish, but I'll name some of my favorites: Gangnam ribeye, Tom yum shishitos, lamb chops, szechuan ribeye, bok Choy, Brussels sprouts, and, curry wedges. One thing I like about their asian fusion is the different flavors in each dish from sweet, sour, and spicy. Something as simple as bok choy had an abundant of flavors in it.

We also received complimentary kulfi for the special occasion. As refreshing desserts to end the night. Overall, thanks Ambrosia for their excellent service and amazing food.

Came to Ambrosia for a Galentine's day dinner and was excited to try the food as it looks amazing and photos. I would say it lived up to expectations. The lambchops were the winner! We also ordered crab and chicken fried rice, very good. The ribs were good as well. Was not in love with the samosas. Waitresses were great. Drinks were strong and good.

The cocktails were delicious, and the food was good for the most part. My only negative takeaways were that the prices were a little steep for happy hour, and the flat breads all tasted too similar because there covered in the same white melted cheese. Over all it was a good experience. I think the menu could improve by becoming more focused. Many fusion places have similar issues with not hitting 100% on all their offerings.

We went (preCOVID) for an early dinner. They had an easy menu to enjoy and great Thursday special of 50% bottle wine. We were in and out in a little over an hour but in no way felt rushed. A little run down on the inside but nice to not eat at an "in-your-face spent more money on decor than food" place. If you are looking to get our of your regular routine this is a great option.

Service, ambiance, seating, and alcoholic drinks were all top-notch! I was a bit less impressed with the food: for the curry wedges, the curry sauce was in the bottom of the pan, and the fries had not been mixed into the curry so that half of the fries didn't have any curry on them. The curry was also blander than I was expecting, still a decent flavor, but bland. The Gangnam ribs were very tender and incredibly tangy; tangy, because the sauce tasted like ketchup with lots of vinegar and soy sauce in it. It was ok for me, but I suspect others wouldn't find the flavor appealing. And the cheesecake with pandan: very thick and dry, would have appreciated more pandan sauce and no chocolate or caramel sauce. It was an average cheesecake.

Let's face it, you're not here for the food, you're here for the drinks. And the drinks are excellent, so have several!

Beautiful ambience, lighting is on point. The music is off for this kind of place. We had the samosa snack.it was incredibly dry and hard to eat. The waitress began to explain ‘oh its authentic Indian’ no it isn’t. I have several Indian friends and eat homemade food and it’s not this bland! Tried the ‘chili cheese fries’ and also incredibly bland and tasteless and dry. The mushroom flatbread was really good.the Bellini was tasty.

My car died in the parking lot and they were so helpful and kind! This was after I had eaten, so I seriously appreciated it. Thank you so much!

Enjoyed the restaurant week menu. Got the papaya salad, slightly spicy (and I love spicy food), the gangham ribs, delicious! Plus the badmash wings (gangham) amazing, and mint kulfi also phenomenol. Got lamb biryani off menu, delicious but not spicy. Overall, great experience

Had a HRW dinner last night at Amrosia. The ambience is nice and cozy, service was slow.we were not in rush so it was ok. Food was so so. It does not really worth $45! My Green papaya salad had few sprinkles of papaya (i would not call it papaya salad) without any dressing, Japanesian brussels were burned, Samosas were tasteless and dry (like they made them a week ago). For desert i had a Pandan sponge cake and it was horrible! 2 entries we had - Lamb biryani and gangnam ribs - were pretty good. Cocktails were good too. Overall, i was very disappointed with food. I should have gone to steak house instead.

Came here on a Saturday. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. The place has a great feel to it. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I loved.

Came here for Houston Restaurant Weeks! The service was nice. Everyone was very attentive. The selections on the menu were great! The interior had a lot of cool art on the walls. Samosas were my favorite out of the dishes I ordered.

Went to this restaurant with a group of friends. We had a private room and the service was fantastic. We left there feeling like family. I just can’t say enough good things about service and atmosphere. But the food was at an all together different level. I had salmon with a purée squash that I am still dreaming about and for an appetizer I had roasted Brussels sprouts that were incredible. Can’t wait to go back and bring all my family and friends.

Eclectic menu blending many Asian flavors. Must have: very flavorful tender baby bok choy, tangy Tom yum shishito peppers, crispy pan Asian flavored brussel sprouts, and an amazing grilled waloo fish. Very welcoming wait staff.

We ordered 4 plates and 3/4 were very tasty. The ribs fall off the bone and have a very tasty sauce on them. We had the pork Bao sliders and they were horrible. The Bao buns were hard and stale. We told the staff and they took it back just to bring us the same stale piece back. The waiter did a great job, I think the kitchen staff just needs to realize when something wasn't done right and fix it.

We visited last week end to Houston from Austin. This was best experience. All four elements were happening in equal measure - the cuisine, the wine, the service, and the overall ambiance. It taught me that dining could happen at a spiritual level. Perfect place for the food. Great!

NYE, Dec31,2019 was a blast thanks to Ambrosia. 6 of us dined and drank most of the evening and the Ambrosia staff was right there making it happen. It was an absolutely packed house but the service was still good. Was a 4 course special, fabulous menu with free champagne. Will definitely be back.

I enjoy coming here. The atmosphere is cool, staff are always nice, and good happy hour options. Food is good with plenty of well made options and tom yum shishito peppers that are addicting. Cocktails are great, but, a bit in the sweet side (staff was happy to alter to taste, bonus points). Here is my gripe because it's probably an easy fix. There is a smell of cleaning products or just an overly humid room that is overpowering when you enter. I almost turned around and walked out and asked to sit outside.
Overall, certainly worth a visit.
