The staff and doctors are awesome. BUT THE SECURITY GUARD Down STAIRS ALWAYS HAS MUSIC ON SO SO LOUD. I WAS WAITING FOR MY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION. AND THEY THOUGHT I WAS AT A NIGHT CLUB. HALF THE TIME THAT GUARD IS A SLEEP IN HIS CHAIR WITH HIS MOUTH OPEN. THIS MAKES THIS FACILITY SEEM SO TRASHY AND NOT PROPERLY KEPT. THIS IS WRONG

Today I took my mother for her medical at Dr Amin’s office. From walking in to leaving the office I have had a wonderful experience!
I love the way Dr. Amin and Dr. Talha took their time to listen, assess and address my moms concerns with patience and kindness.
Not just them but every single staff member is kind and welcoming which is rare to find now a days!

I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Karim for this clinical externship opportunity. I learned a lot of invaluable hands-on experience in various aspects of patient care. He patiently showed and taught us the approach towards history and physical examination when I first encountered a DARS patient then how to convey it in the EMR. He provides video and a manual for us to be guided on how to properly write the details for new-patient and follow-ups including templates for requests and referrals. This practical exposure not only enhanced our clinical documentation skills but also instilled a profound appreciation for the role of efficient and organize record-keeping in patient care.

I learned how to review patient notes, labs, imaging studies and present a case to him briefly. His staff taught me how to do ECG, Stress test and Holter monitoring and Dr. Karim showed us the ultrasound of the aorta and properly retake a BP in a dark room. He also asked us theoretical questions of cardiovascular disease pathophysiology that made us tickle our brain to study further and shares interesting trivia even jokes to make discussion fun yet high yield.

His guidance on effective communication, professionalism and presenting oneself as a doctor was greatly beneficial. He is approachable, kind, has a calm demeanor with immense clinical knowledge in which he gives patient enough time to speak and addresses their concerns patiently. I admire his dedication to his work, how he pays attention to details and explains the cardiovascular diseases, how and why diagnostics and treatment has to be done in a way a patient can understand easily. It was an honor as well as he introduced me to his Filipino patients. He also has kind, efficient and helpful staffs to learn from as well. Debbie acquainted me to how a clinic functions and to how documents are organized. I am lucky enough to explore these in person.

Dr. Karim took me to a new challenge by teaching new rotators as to how he patiently taught and guided me too. I didn’t just learn but I did get to know myself how am I towards other people and how I convey my learnings to my colleagues. I learned how to work as a team and working in a multicultural environment, who made my rotation even more joyful and meaningful through our collaborative learning, work and exchange of ideas. These lessons will undoubtedly remain with me as I progress in my medical journey.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Karim’s externship to any aspiring medical professional seeking hands-on exposure and as exceptionally brilliant cardiologist to his practice. It's a great learning opportunity that nurtures medical knowledge, refines practical skills, and cultivates essential attributes like compassion, commitment and communication. He is an inspiration. Dr. Karim is an incredibly experienced cardiologist who consistently goes the extra mile, not only for his patients but also for medical students and aspiring doctors. His compassion in dealing with his patients is unparalleled and he takes the time to thoroughly explain the diagnoses, procedure and treatment plans, ensuring that every patient feels well-informed and at ease.

Under his guidance I acquired a wealth of knowledge, including the workings of EMR, patient progress notes, EKGs, Echocardiography reports and Holter monitor readings. He also provided me with the invaluable opportunity to give case presentations with a comprehensive diagnostic and management plan and would further assist in polishing my presentation skills with his constructive feedback. Dr. Karim's encouragement in expanding my medical knowledge was unwavering, and he even tasked me with researching the latest surgical technique for treating resistant hypertension as a brief presentation. Furthermore, I had the privilege of observing various medical procedures, including stress tests and aortic ultrasounds. Dr. Karim's generosity extended to sharing educational resources, such as the book "Success on the Wards - 250 rules for Clerkship Success" from his personal library, which further aided in my clinical development. The experiences and knowledge I gained from rotating with him have been instrumental in shaping my clinical skills which I have seamlessly carried over with me to subsequent rotations.

The staff at his clinic is also very courteous and warm in their interactions which creates an atmosphere of genuine care and support, fostering a positive experience for all patients. The facility is impressively well-equipped, offering a comprehensive range of cardiac diagnostic tests conducted in-house, further streamlining the patient experience. Even during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Karim and his clinic exemplified their dedication to patient safety. Disinfection protocols were rigorously upheld, and stringent measures were in place to protect patients and staff alike. The option for telemedicine consults was also made available for patients that would choose to opt for it.

My time spent alongside Dr. Karim was an invaluable learning experience, and I cannot emphasize enough how highly I recommend him to both patients seeking exceptional cardiac care and medical students eager to learn from a true medical luminary.

I rotated with Dr Amin Karim in the past month and would love for any medical student or graduate to do the same prior to residency.
I learnt from his exceptional ability to clarify and explain to patients. He is a very encouraging mentor that helps his students take on challenging tasks without the pressure of making a mistake. Dr Karim makes you dive deep into Electronic medical records and teaches his students how to chart on popular charting software. His Outpatient clinic staff are also very friendly. The staff taught me how to do an EKG and Stress test.
Dr Karim has patients from all backgrounds which boosted my confidence in patient interactions especially with language barriers. All throughout my rotation I was impressed with the dedication to teaching that Dr Amin Karim has instilled in his practice.
This experience, I feel, has groomed me very well for residency.

One of my favorite rotations. Dr Karim was super knowledgeable and very helpful. He taught me a lot about Cardiology, but most importantly he taught me how to be a kind hearted doctor. The work environment was very nice and cozy that they even celebrated my birthday! This is how I know that they became family to me. My experience was so delightful and educational. Very hands on, and tons of responsibilities, which will give you a lot of experience especially in taking history and doing physical exam. Ill recommend this place to everyone I know whether friends or family.

Dr Karim is an excellent cardiologist who personally cares for every patient he sees. He remembers every single patient and provides them the medical as well as emotional support that they need. Most of his patients have been seeing him for decades now and they cant imagine going to any other cardiologist. The staff at the clinic is extremely friendly and everyone is like a family over here

I had the pleasure of doing an observership at the clinic of Dr. Karim, and I must say it was a great experience.
