Caring, knowledgeable and extremely clean! We loved visiting this ER hospital after Banfield on Broad canceled our appointment and treated us like we didn't matter especially my poor Senior dog who was in extreme pain! Banfield asked us to step to the side after the lady treated us like we didn't belong there.
The ladies at Animal ER Hospital were so understanding and listened to the needs of Izzy and myself.
They also were kind & respectful when my Phoebe of 14yrs had passed. Very compassionate.
Highly recommend!

An AMAZING SERVICE! My dog ran out of the gate at 11: 00pm and we got her back by 12: 00 am! My husband and I were so worried! Luckily she was in someone’s backyard and they took her here. So grateful for the amazing and attentive staff, thank you for returning my puppy safe and sound!

If I could leave zero starts I would arrived here tonight at 10: 20 front desk ladies told me they couldn’t see my dog because he was being “aggressive “ just because he was barking that they were going to see him but not touch him and I needed him checked urgently this is ridiculous if you can’t deal with dogs that shouldn’t be for them I take him to his vet and they know how to treat him even if he barks they still touch him and check him

A ridiculous amount of time spent at 12: 45am, when it took over an 1-1/2 hours before anyone took interest to to consult me in the my room, when there was only one other room of people to attend to at that time of morning. Unfortunately, this was a 4-hour visit during the am hours to address my dogs diarrhea while it appeared that there was plenty of staff to attend to patient care, that wasn't delivered. I had more interaction with the tech then the 5-minute discussion with the doctor that I only talked once with. Leaving around 4: 45, the visit was long and stressing, with the lack of performance from the staff. Plus there was no follow-up from the clinic on how the dog was doing the next day. I feel like the only thing they are interested in, is how much we can bill the patient.

My dog needed emergency care. They have the abilities to do labs, ultrasounds at this location. I do think the approach "more is better" is used. More labs, more $, better. More time the pet is there, more $. And they definitely say things like "let me check" or "I'll be right back" and well in reality it is much different. I would not use this facility as my regular vet but it is an asset in emergencies!

Would give zero if I could. Called another ER that wouldn't be able to see my pet for about an hour. Called here and they said come right away. Arrived at 4: 30 am with a 14 year old dog that had a high fever, shivering, not keeping food or water down, very weak, and shallow breathing. Was checked in quickly and brought to a room about 5: 00 am. A tech brought us an estimate and had us sign for work quickly. They took her back for blood work and was back in the room at 5: 15 am. Was told the doctor was seeing another patient and it shouldn't be long, but another doctor was arriving at 6: 00 just in case. 6: 00 came, 6: 15,6: 30,6: 45. Not a single person came in that hour and half to give us an update, check on my pet, nothing. 7: 00 am came, 7: 15 am came. We stopped someone in the hall. She was day shift and had not a clue we had been there that long. We explained to her how long we have been waiting with ZERO check ins. She went and talk to the day shift doctor who said it could be a couple of hours before they could get to us. We said, please just check us out and we will go elsewhere. Aaannnnddddd $350 dollars! For blood work they never looked at!

Called ahead, wasn't honest, quick to make us sign for work, no follow up for over 2 1/2 hours, and charged for blood work that they never looked at! Don't go here.

I unfortunately did not have the best experience here. Reading some of the reviews about the wait time and the lack of communication, I understand the 3 star waiting. We brought our dog in for diarrhea and was immediately put in a room. 2 hours later a nurse comes in and ask some question. The dr then comes in about 30 mins later and ask some questions and says let me get some estimates. One hour later we are still sitting in the room. No estimate, no check-in, no nothing. At this point I notice that other people that have arrived way after us have been seen by a dr. We leave, then I received a text 30 mins later asking if we have left, and that they have the estimate. At this, point I was not able to come back, but I did get asked to pay 145 for a 3 hr wait and a 5 min conversation with the doctor. With the amount of people they had just sitting behind the front desk, someone could have at least ask if we needed anything or if he was good.

Rosa and Mikeal were so kind and helpful when I brought Tucker in around midnight because he was choking on a dental chew. Fortunately Tucker managed to get the chew dislodged on the way to the vet, but he was still extremely stressed out, as was I! Mikeal showed great expertise and compassion as he helped me evaluate whether to wait and have Tucker seen by a vet. Wonderful service!

If I could review with 0 stars, I would.

I had a sweet 16 year old dog, Chiquis, that was suffering greatly and wanted a second opinion to exhaust all options in order to make the best decision for her quality of life.

When we arrived at the emergency room, I had previously spoken to a receptionist in order to keep them aware of the situation.
We arrived at 11 pm, and were greeted warmly by the same receiptionist, so we had high hopes for the care. However, we spent all night at the ER, and our dog had still not been seen even when there were no other walk ins, and after patients that came in afterwards were seen and sent on their way. After spending 7 hours without nothing being done to see her, we finally left the ER and went to another location where within 5 minutes, they attended her and saw her critical state.

Their excuse for not attending our baby was because she was sitting quietly, calmly, and appeared stable, even when we explained that this was not her usual energy state, that she had been on decline, and that she was quiet because she was tired and in pain.
A nurse came and told us we would be seen at 4: 30 am, but by 6 am, the vet still had not come, and instead of letting us see her and give her some comfort, they kept her locked up in a kennel, unattended, unaware that she had thrown up at least once.

Additionally, after spending that amount of time, they said we would have to wait longer to have a provider see her because shift changes were occurring. Furthermore, they ironically said they wouldn't charge me, even when no service had been provided.

I also believe I was discriminated against. All of the patients that came in and were attended before us were not POC's, and while scrolling through the negative reviews of this place, many seem to have issues with the establishment.

Unfortunately, my baby ended up passing away a few hours afterward.
I came into this establishment with high hopes, but left hurt, disappointed, and frustrated with the care they provided my beloved dog.

The staff from the front desk, vet tech and doctor are amazing! They cared about my fur baby, from start to finish! Haedes was in great care, he was loved on from the moment we got there. I can’t thank the staff enough for their kindness to help animals.

Thank you to the vet and the entire care team here! They made a very difficult experience tolerable. They took good care of our furbaby and us (because it’s never easy to deal with a tragically sick loved one). They were so busy with many sick animals yet still made us feel comforted.

We have been through this kind of thing with our dogs in the past. It isn’t a quick visit. You are emotionally drained and often forget to take care of yourself until it’s creating more stress on your body. They had snacks and drinks in the lobby, which was such a nice touch.

We need a real meal though - so, we found a good restaurant across the highway to order take-out while we waited on tests to see what was going on with our sweet pup.

We would definitely recommend this emergency vet hospital!

I left this experience questioning whether or not I killed my dog by bringing her here instead of going somewhere more reputable in Dallas. The only other close option was I20 but most people know I20 is awful. I switched here a few years ago and had a good experience, but it felt like I was at I20 this weekend. Some of the staff was rude and most were unorganized. I had 4 different vets look at my dogs and they all had 4 different things to say about my dogs and didn’t seem to know what the prior vet had already ascertained or discussed with me. The miscommunication between shift changes of the actual vets was alarming and even worse between the staff. We also experienced extreme wait times with little to no communication. My dog didn’t make it. She supposedly died from aspiration pneumonia or pneumonia derived from canine influenza. I was told two completely different things from different vets. So it leaves me wondering if I put my dog down because it was necessary or because I was misinformed… I feel completely gaslit by this place and at the end of the day I wish I had taken my dog anywhere else. Also if my dog did have canine influenza and passed away in 48 hours, when I took my other dog in because she was also displaying symptoms, they told me my other dog hadn’t died of canine influenza and my currently sick dog probably just had allergies and let her run all over the facility.

We needed some emergency care for a stray kitten that has been living with her mother (and the rest of the litter) in our backyard, she suddenly became ill but our regular vet had no openings. We were very impressed by the quality of care we received at Animal Emergency Hospital of Mansfield, the staff was compassionate and caring. The prices were definitely fair for an animal ER and the wait time was also reasonable.

We really appreciated that they immediately made sure our baby had stable vitals before sending us to the wait area. We did witness some clients becoming upset at their wait time (which was understandable, but more critical cases had come in that were definitely more urgent than theirs seemed to be, and critical always comes first) - the veterinary staff handled the upset client very professionally and you can tell that everyone employed at the animal hospital genuinely cares for the animals and their pet parents/human caretakers.

We got the care we needed, and they checked back two days later to see how our baby was doing. We will definitely be using this animal ER for all our veterinary emergency care needs.

Dont Do It! Find another place. Have made this mistake several times and now we are done. They keep them overnight and do tests that will run up your bill. Then no answers. The last visit our girl was having lots of issues walking. They said it was a soft tissue injury and wanted to keep her overnight to do an ultrasound. They said everything looked good. Charged 2,400! Waited 2 weeks and our poor girl made no improvements. Made an appt at Gullys Animal Hospital. They did an xray and found out she has 3 bad disc in her back. Animal Emergency NEVER did an xray! If they had, they would have found the bad disc in her back. Vet at Gullys put her on Prednisone and she is now finally making improvements. Because of Animal Emergency she suffered way longer than needed. They just want to run up your bill. This same thing has happened to us other times, with different fur babies. They also gave medications do our girl, that we explicitly said NOT to give her. When Vet was confronted, he had few words then disappeared. Never, will we make this mistake again.

This was a sad moment to meet everyone here, but I feel that everyone was extremely kind and supportive during a very tough situation for us. Thank you for supporting us during this very difficult time, and thank you for being kind to our best good boy!
I'm adding photos of what our good boy looked like when he was young and vibrant, since you only saw him at the end of his life, I thought you should see him during the best parts.

My baby Ruby had an emergency this week. The staff here was absolutely amazing to my baby and took turns on cuddle duty with her so she wasn’t lonely when she had to stay overnight. Truly blessed and they saved my puppy from a pretty bad situation after she swallowed a bunch of stuff she couldn’t pass. Thank you to the staff at the Mansfield emergency vet!
