Animal Hospital of Melissa

I don't typically leave reviews, however in this case I do feel the need to share our story. My wife and I had to put one of our beloved Bulldogs to rest this past Friday 12/01. This was literally the hardest thing that I have had to do in my entire life. Buster lived an amazing life, he was such a blessing to our family for the years that we had him, over 9. We wanted to say thank you to the entire staff at Animal Hospital of Melissa and for showing true care and concern for our beloved Buster throughout this process and communicating and explaining everything. We would like to give a special THANK YOU to DR. DAY and her commitment, dedication to her job, her team, a Veterinarian and a wonderful person all around. She was scheduled to be off a few days this past week but when we went in for Buster's final goodbye she shows up in the room and completely stuns and shocks myself and my wife. She chose to be part of this process on her own personal time and for that we can never say thank you enough. That was truly special to have Dr. Day there to be part of his final journey. Thank you again to everyone at AHM and for Dr. Day's selfless act of kindness, care and concern.

Wonderful staff! Patient doctors! Explained everything to me along with things to try and possible progjosis. Definitely recommend giving them a try!

My puppy swallowed an object. She was foaming at the mouth and shaking her head and was in distress. They took her right in and worked on her. I greatly appreciated them being so sweet to her and taking the situation seriously. We will be back with such kind service. Everything came out great.

All the staff and vets seem great! Dr. Day takes especially great care of my dog with a special medical condition. I’m very impressed!

The entire experience was a breeze. The vet tech, Briana, was awesome and made me feel heard with all my concerns. Dr. Smith was also very attentive and both showed care and concern for my boy. Will be making this our forever veterinarian

We come for grooming and they are very sweet to our dog and do a good job. A little on the expensive side, however.

The Animal Hospital of Melissa has a very friendly staff, great doctors, and were great at making my extremely anxious ChiWeenie less stressed out. They have been our Vet Clinic since 2011.
The ONLY reason for the 4 stars is due to the outrageous fees for an annual visit cost (@$350 w/o bloodwork; @$600 w/bloodwork). Smh just ridiculous! Especially if you own more than one FurBaby!

Very professional, know exactly what my dog needed. Definitely recommend this place for your furry love ones.

Such a great experience! I was so nervous because my cat is terrified of strangers, and so skittish, but they handled her well. They were able to cut her problem nails easily. So happy with our experience, and will definitely be back for all our pet needs.

Staff are very nice n friendly, place are clean n daycare as you need. Way much better than petco as my opinion.

This is a great hospital with caring employees. They treat my babies just like their own, even my grumpy old lady kitten. Said cat needed her vaccines and grooming - Animal Hospital of Melissa was able to get everything done in one visit. The care and professionalism is worth every penny.

Charlene at the front is always so sweet and helpful! We also love Dr. Day - she is super thorough and takes the time to explain everything. I never feel like I’m being rushed, and I feel like the staff really cares about my pup! I also really like that they will give you a printed estimate before doing anything costly, and try to give you multiple options when possible. I never feel like they are pushing me to do anything just to make money, and I trust that Dr. Day will be upfront about necessity of procedures and costs. I highly recommend Animal Hospital of Melissa!

We've been going to Melissa animal hospital for almost a year. We had been seeing Dr W.and really liked him. He's a great vet and took great care of our bulldog. This past week we met Dr Day she is also great. She took her time to explain things so that I would understand them.
I'm happy that we found Melissa animal hospital.
