Sourdough rolls, I am able to enjoy them even though I'm Gluten Sensitive. Paired with their specialty butter and the lovely Pinot Grigio, I'm in heaven. Oh yes just a simple dinner of baked chicken and asparagus. Seasoned to perfection.

Love this place! The chef really knows the business of cooking exotic & game meat. Atmosphere was inviting and the antler chandelier always impresses those we bring. Staff are excellent.

We’ve been there 4 times and had different meals each time. The food is amazing but I’m afraid we can get amazing food other places. The reason we continue to go here is a waiter that we request each time we come. His name is Juan. An amazing individual who is a master at his craft that provides an amazing experience. If you go the food is great. My recommendation is to ask for Juan. You’ll be happy you did

We went for restaurant weeks and felt like we discovered a hidden gem! The atmosphere and service are lovely. The wait staff took great care of us and the food was delicious. I wish that the items from the restaurant weeks menu were on the regular menu because they were delightful. It's so nice to find such a lovely restaurant without all the traffic and parking issues of going downtown. The restaurant validates your hotel parking, so parking is private, convenient, and free. This place was a breath of fresh air! We agreed we'd love to come back to try the rest of their menu and they gave us a frequent diner's card for locals, so we are looking forward to enjoying Antlers Lodge again.

Wonderful experience. Greeted kindly, sat at the best table in the house due to a special occasion. The manager, Anthony, was so kind & friendly. Our server was great & we were checked on often. Due to our special occasion we were treated with a fantastic bottle of champagne. Wife took the rib, it was delectable. I had the new York strip & was in awe of the crisp outside & tender & juicy inside. The puréed potatoes were my favorite. Absolutely loved everything & the experience.

We had dinner at Antler's on the evening of December 27th. While the dinner itself seemed uneventful and the service was excellent, about 4 hours after dinner I came down with the worst case of violent food poisoning that I've ever experienced. I'll spare readers the details but it wasn't pretty. It is now 4 days later and I still haven't fully recovered. We had to cut our trip to San Antonio short because I was so sick. I called the restaurant to report this. I spoke with an operator, a front desk employee and then an F&B manager. I was told only that they'd let the chef know. I have received no further outreach from the restaurant or resort as of now. I know food poisoning can be attributable to both the food itself or poor food handling but I suspect that it was the Nilgai tenderloin that I had for my entrée. I also had Brussel sprouts and a wedge salad. Everyone who eats out knows that food poisoning is a risk. This is the worst case I've ever had and I will not dine at Antler's Lodge again. And the fact that no one at the restaurant or hotel has followed up is a further indication of a lack of concern for food safety. Dine at your own risk.

Dinner was excellent! The salmon was cooked perfectly and we had some mashed potatoes and Macaroni and cheese that was delicious. The crab cakes were so tasty with that sauce on top yummy! My husband had the potato soup which was also very good. Our server Tai was amazing. Would recommend this place for couples and groups.

Went for a late New year Eve dinner food was awesome. Our table had a view of the bartender Ryan. He made these great toast glass for all the kids. He was fantastic. Our twin girls were so delighted. Ryan was definitely a shining spot light for all the kids there.

For those from San Antonio and are familiar with Bohanan’s, you will want to venture west and enjoy Antlers Lodge. If you are visiting San Antonio and want the right place to celebrate, then go here.

Any great restaurant achieves ambiance, service, quality food, and an appropriately diversified drink/wine menu. Antlers Lodge does all of this in spades. The ambiance transported me to a mountain lodge deep in the Colorado Rockies with their amazing stained wood tables and rustic seating as well as the 7 foot antler chandelier. The food continues to build on this sensation with dishes prepared using that which you’d expect to find in a mountain river. I recommend the elk cooked medium. It was tender, precisely cooked and went well with the sweet chili Brussels sprouts and Tasso Mac and cheese. As a starter, I can only suggest their smoked old fashioned that they deliver in a seemingly old lantern that once opens allows the smoke to fall out and unveil the bourbon based deliciousness. During the dinner I’d go for their Marques Tempranillo from Spain and finish the meal off with the compressed mango topped cheesecake. It is portioned and sweetened to perfection.

I caveat my review by saying the resort off season had just begun. The restaurant was empty, so the atmosphere was also empty. The servers were awesome. The menu was diverse and our entrees and sides were gorgeous, although it was under seasoned.

Elk and Nilgai tenderloin are both the bomb! Charcuterie board was good but a little light on meat for the price.

Such a true gem of a restaurant, that probably does not get the recognition and patronage of the locals due to its being part of the Hill Country Resort. My wife and I have been coming here since 1991 and I commend you all for maintaining your high standards in everything you do, from the food, to the service, to the décor, all first rate, top notch through the years. Looking forward to stopping by in December for my wife's birthday!

I had this amazing place awhile back. I would highly recommend! From the appetizers to desserts. It did not disappoint. This resort is one of my frequently visited places. And an amazing dinner just tops it off!

Wow, just wow! The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. My husband and I enjoyed our date night here. We never felt rushed and ended up spending 2 hours there, just enjoying our time and the delicious food. The strawberry cheesecake was a great end to our yummy dinner.

Definitely, by far the best experience in fine dining! If you want to try something you never had before, like octopus, bison meatballs or Nigil antipope.well you are up for a wild ride of flavor, beauty and perfection! My advice, try new things, it will blow your minds!

Disgusting way of cooking
They don't clean off the the iron plate before making your food.
If you order a steak, you'll probably mistake it for salmon.

You're better off going somewhere high end. I swear I've seen some of these wines in HEB
