Antonelli's Cheese Shop reviews
16Unlike most places that sell cheese, this overpriced store shows price per half pound on their signs, not per pound. Very misleading. I have bought cheese at many other shops around the country, and the prices at Antonellis are some of the highest. It's businesses like this that have made Austin an unaffordable place to live for many people.
This is our favorite source for truly quality cheeses. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. An absolute must.
I've been enjoying this place for a decade and waited in a line flowing out the door on December 23. We almost left or got a gift card instead, but I'm so glad we stayed and got our selections. It was soooo worth it. Everyone at Christmas loved the cheeses as much as we did. And the line became social after a while. Always listen to what the people ahead of you in line are getting excited about when they taste, this is another way to find a great cheese without tasting the whole case. Thanks to the gentleman in front of us I found one of my new favorites.
I was so pumped to order our cheese/meat board and bread/cracker tray to take to my daughter-in-law’s parent’s home for Christmas Day. However, the cheese/meat tray was disgusting and the bread/cracker tray was stale. To say the least I was embarrassed and disappointed, especially after spending over $120 and driving from Waco to Austin to pickup. I am a huge cheese lover of all types, but I was definitely not impressed by the cheeses on my board. The owner and his daughter were the ones passing out the trays on Christmas Eve and they were very nice…just wish the trays had been.
Hands down, no better place to get a cheese plate for small or large group in Austin. They also offer classes worth checking out.
The selection and flavors of cheeses are amazing! Flavors from around the world and the U. S. The raw goat cheeses are definitely one of my favorites. Until next time.
Brigading a business because they took up an offer to be featured in a Nationwide Capital One ad is pathetic.
A delicious array of cheeses to excite anyone's tastebuds. We sampled so many fantastic cheeses from around the globe and I came home with lots of delicious options to build the perfect charcuterie board.
The staff was super rude to us. We ordered platters for our company party. When calling in we were on hold for half an hour before giving up. In person they were dismissive and had the worst case of cannot even when we tried to literately give them money for product they had for sale and couldn’t be bothered to answer questions about the order or other selections. This businesses is all marketing and no substance. I’ve tried hard to use them as little as possible and this is another example of why I do just that. Central market and Whole Foods has a better selection and less attitude.
Good cheese shop, horrible cheese of the month club. All the months on their website look great, but was a bust. What person who gets a cheese of the month club wants feta, cream cheese, and queso fresco. It’s billed as exclusive access to special cheeses, but at best you get the super popular ones you can easily find at any Whole Foods.
I absolutely LOVE coming to this cheese shop! The staff is super duper knowledgable and they let you taste bits of the cheese before you commit to buying.:) Don't expect to get in and out of this shop quickly when it's busy though.unless you know exactly what you want and go directly to the cash register to pay.
Just amazing all around. I actually heard of them from the capital one commercial they were in and stopped by while I was in town
This place looks amazing and what charcuterie dreams are made of. So weird and sick that some people are coming here to rate this individual business because of its ad placement. It’s obviously a commercial about capital one, people please redirect your anger to them or maybe even somewhere.
Really fun experience and delicious cheese. Don't sleep on the 'Moses Sleeping' it is phenomenal
I’ve followed Antonelli’s on Instagram for over a year and love their cheese and chocolate nights and wine and cheese pairings. Tonight, was the first night to actually have it and it was amazing! We got charcuterie boxes for an event and loved them! Their blue cheese was some of the best I’ve ever had and loved the olives! So good!
