Anytime Fitness, Lancaster TX

The gym itself is clean and not overcrowded. There isn't a real "front desk. " and there isn't an employee there most of the time so if security is what you want, you won't get it here. No lockers to put your stuff/keys in, just an open cubby.
I was a member for almost 5 years, never had a issue with any of the equipment or the gym being dirty. Although I would NOT recommend going late at night, as a woman.
It was HELL trying to cancel my membership! It has been almost 3 months, they are still withdrawing the fees after countless emails, phone calls, texts, voicemails, in person visits, you name it. Now I just have to go thru by the way of cancelling my withdrawal authorization from my bank.

Have been a member for 3 years now. I find it hard to find time to go to the gym and wanted to cancel my membership but Shedrick was very friendly and wanted to know and understand me as a person and what struggles I have not just a customer. He helped me convince myself that even though it’s hard to find time with being a college student and working full time any little bit helps. Highly recommend this gym not only because they are nice but also have a lot of activities to be a part of even during this crazy time.

Dirty, run down, unorganized. Serious gym-goers look for 3 things. Cleanliness, organization, and things well stocked. This gym has none of that. I drive a truck, so I visit a lot of Anytimes. This is by far the worst. Turn the music down some, stock your wipes and spray, organize your free weights, and for God’s sake, clean your bathrooms. It’s disgusting.

For such a small facility and few employees with few responsibilities, you'd think they'd be able to keep up with everything. The bathrooms, first. Do not use them. The one week I did attend, they did not maintain the bathrooms at different parts of the day. It's hard to contact anyone at the gym if you need anyone. The manager forgot to open the gym website which is through Shopify? Their online bill payment process, is through a OneDrive document. I guess people who attend do not care to do handle their bill payments online because it's wild this was never brought up. The manager, Shedrick Cole, did not post the website until I had to call him at his OTHER facility in Grand Prairie to tell him his website was down. They are unorganized, signing up for classes through the app is not available and when told to call the facility (no surprise) no one answers. I was on free trial and they charged me $76 my first few days being there. The sign up process was awful and rushed and the manager, Shedrick, was so busy trying to rush out the door, he failed to show me around the facility and left it to my friend, who recommended me to her regret, to show me around. After bringing this charge to the manager, he told me he would refund but immediately after, I got another charge. I cancelled my "membership", what was supposed to be a free trial, in JANUARY. The gym has been charging me EVERY WEEK since January. I've spoken to their only representative and she informed me she would call back every time about the refund and the membership that continues to try to hit my bank account. No contact. No email. I was told they want you to TEXT instead of email, call, or leave a vociemail to get a call back. But it's been almost a month. This is why I cancelled in the first place. The lack of communication, the lack of organization in the programs, and the lazy employees and manager, Shedrick Cole. Which I still continue to get an email to this day saying to pay the bill. Im disgusted in this poorly managed building.

Great place to get it in! Never packed (when I go)! A couple of times I've been the only one in there.

The customer service at this location is pathetic. No one ever answer the phone and if they do they'll have you on hold till u hang up. The workers are fitness illiterate and highly unprofessional. I'll be going to the Redoak location from here on out

This is the best place to go if you are serious about improving your health and fitness level! Love the owner and the motivation he gives you to keep you on track in reaching your goals. This gym offers great classes and opportunities for anyone's schedule. Our family loves this gym!

Visiting home from Louisiana. Went to this location to filth. Crud and crust on treadmill, unracked weights all over the place. Felt very unsanitary. I left after 10 mins.

Being a truck driver I visit a lot of gyms every week year-round this is one of the dirtiest places I have seen the bathrooms need and upgrade there's rust inside the bathrooms it just looks dirty. This must be an absentee owner or someone does not care about people. Music is too loud the windows are filthy. Trash cans are overflowed. A lot of torn upholstery. Great location and equipment. Poor management of facilities.

This business has been harassing me for about a year with their texts and calls! I've asked several times for them to stop bothering me! I don't like being woke up in the morning with their texts. I'm really tired and fed up with it! I guess my next step will be reporting them or having to go to their facility and picketing? I'm not sure what else to do?

To comment on your response to my review. I never contacted your gym in any form! I have called and asked Jessica several times to be taken off your call list! I'm in Kaufman, your in Lancaster, why would I drive that far? I'm very energetic, 100# and moving all day, I don't want a gym! Thanks for saying you won't contact me anymore.

I went here to INQUIRE about a membership back in April and I met with Shadrick (probably misspelled that). He took me on a tour of his gym and we talk about my fitness goals. And their membership options. He then told me about the summer promotion he was offering. I told him I'd be interested in that but not the gym membership as I felt it was too expensive. I went ahead and signed up for the summer fitness program. I noticed in my emailed receipt that it mentioned my membership contract so I email Shadrick, Anytime Fitness, and Jessica (could be Jennifer) to say no, no, no.error made. I didn't sign. Up for a gym membership, especially not o e with a contract. No response. I went up there, they were not there. I start getting calls that I need to update my billing information because I've missed a payment. I email, call, and visit again.nothing. I finally speak with someone who says we'll look into and call you back. They charged my card for $102, and I still hadn't heard from them. These people are shady, the gym is small and membership is over priced. I can't stand a liar and a deceiver. Go at your own. Risk. I highly recommend Planet Fitness. A much better value, much better facilities, much better staff!
