Anytime Fitness, Bastrop TX

I visited in person and was told I must commit to a minimum of 1 full year, no month-to-month option except pay for 1 day at a time which is very expensive. This is a real concern if you are in the area for less than one year or in the case of another pandemic when gym may be closed or unacceptable policies like masking are instituted as a result. If they had a month-to-month option I would join.

Everyone is very professional and friendly. There’s nothing I didn’t like about the gym. The only thing is you are not allowed to bring a friend anymore:/ because the gym gets pretty full now. Understandable. The whole gym was always clean. Recommend for sure.

This gym gets worse by the month, I still have a membership, but I go to HT fitness instead. There's multiple pieces of equipment that need repairing, the restrooms are always dirty, and I see new members at HT fitness that have left this gym. Doesn't seem the owners are interested in fixing or improving the gyms condition.
As stated in other members' posts, a decline bench and a MUCH needed hack squat.

It’s a great gym but the restrooms need to be cleaned more often. They are always dirty and gross to walk into. It used to be extremely clean, but now it’s hard to find a restroom that’s decently clean.

Ever since the owners of this franchised gym changed, the place has gone down. Used to be 5 stars for me, not anymore. They no longer use paper towels for wiping equipment down and instead use a cloth towel that everyone needs to share and I feel that is not sanitary The poles on the cable machine are not routinely maintained and so tend to stick, making the variable of the weight different with every rep. Lastly, getting a hold of staff was a pain because they are not on premises during the times stated on the door. Calling corporate wasn't much help since anytime fitness is a franchise. Took me a week to cancel membership because staff wasn't there during staff hours.

Not the same since the previous owner, Todd, sold a few weeks ago.
Not as clean or neat. The main thing that attracted me to it.
Still missing a decline, bar, bench and hack squat.
I've written email to corporate and still waiting a response. Been 10 days. Took another star off my review.

They say it takes 30 days to process a membership cancellation? I can't imagine any legitimate justification for that. I see they respond to other bad reviews that "it's in your membership agreement". The membership agreement that either isn't on your website or is hard to find? Seems purposely shady.
