No longer a restaurant, now a beer tasting room with appetizers. Some beers on the list were not available. The beers are still very good. Lackadaisical service.

Was under the impression Hays County had a mask mandate. I know that at least I wore mine.

Been here before when staff was wearing masks (even on the outdoor patio), so not sure what happened today. Very disappointing in any case, and will definitely affect my choice of Saturday night destinations in the future.

They were out of the Coffee Lager too - another (small) strike.

On the way from Austin to San Antonio, we stopped here for lunch and a beer - and left with a mixed case and the memory of a nice conversation with a very pleasant young lady behind the counter as well as the brew master. Aqua Brew has a selection sure to please everyone, and with the arrangement they have with the restaurant next door for food, it is a great place for good food and beer. Stop by if you're in the area!

The few poor reviews listed below are BS, don’t let that hold you back from visiting this great brewery. Quality food and beer here! Get the burger and fires and don’t look back!

Food/drinks are awesome.
I ordered my food through an app and came in to pick it up, and bartender said they don’t have the screen that shows those orders anymore so the food is not ordered and we would have to order again at the bar. Offered no apology or sympathy. We already paid online and were not offered a refund. When the bartender told manager, all he said was “ooohhhhh”. How helpful. Way to address the problem.
If you’re not able to receive door dash orders, please take your business off of the app. You’re hustling people who expect good service and forcing them to accept your bad service after you already took their money.

We just moved here and went to try this place and it so far has been the best food we've had! The menu had so many tempting options, so we tried the sriracha fries and the AB burger. Both items were delicious! The beer tasted great as well! We had the IPA and Blonde, and definitely had a lot of flavor to both. We love juicy beers, and this had very good depth. We will be coming back!

Stopped in after graduation of a loved one from Texas State. Had a few beers. Really liked the apricot brew they had on tap. Awesome music selection playing in the background!

My wife and I ordered from the brunch menu and the mimosas. The mimosas are exquisite. Lovely ambient as well, we had the chance to sit outside on a good day and we are definitely coming back.

Our service was great despite other reviews. We made the special trip out to the brewery from SA since I’d liked their Apricot beer. Bacon jam fries and burger was amazing, other things we had tried were just ok. All and all, pretty good! Can’t go wrong with the beer and stick with anything bacon jam lol!

Great food and quick service. The atmosphere is classic but a bit loud. The salmon and the beer queso is excellent: the empanadas, not so much. Bit pricy for bar food but the quality is high.

Best restaurant in San Marcos hands down. They make one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life.

Tip: I always upgrade the fries to street corn, it is so tasty. Also their Mosaic Skyscraper IPA is fantastic.

Awesome place. We had the queso, burger, and wings. All 3 were winners. The owner/management was also making the rounds asking for feedback on ways to improve, which I find to be very assuring in a restaurant when the management cares about the public opinion and attempts to right any wrongs.

Beers were also great, I had their Belgian Tripel and their Porter. Nice to see breweries that have more than just standard boring lagers.

This place is great for date night and with the roof access in the tequila bar it can make for a very romantic evening when spend on the roof. They occasionally play jazz in the back, which I find to be a wonderful aphrodisiac.

Been here a couple times. Most of their beer is ok. Food is equally ok. This place would never survive in a bigger market though, especially their beers. Had the session IPA, which was respectable. However, the guest I was with had the tripel, which was a complete yeast milkshake disaster. The elements of a tripel were there, but totally overpowered by the massive amount of residual yeast, giving it a milky white unpalatable flavor and texture. Totally unacceptable for the style. Their imperial Pilsner was similarly very cloudy the first time I visited. No major complaints about the food. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Fun place, but don’t expect stellar house beers.

You had me at Bacon Jam. If you come to San Marcos and don't eat here, you've waisted a trip. The AB burger is amazing and the Bacon Jam fries are fantastic. The beers are refined and smooth. An enjoyable environment.

Great beer! Tasty food. The blta was excellent and the bacon jam fries were incredible. The oatmeal stout and porter were awesome. Great seasonal and guest beer selection and the regulars were great as well. The flights were very reasonably priced. Highly recommend whether you are looking to try out a few new brews or just want something good to eat.

Decent food but just the absolute worst experience. Terrible service and they seem to make no effort to fix their many mistakes.

Trendy atmosphere. Nice looking place. The egg stack from the brunch menu was a solid concept, replacing the cheese on nachos with eggs, but the eggs were cooked far to hard for it to really work. Still not bad.
