Aquarium Restaurant reviews
20Not a good experience, first time there, my daughter ordered a gumbo which was not good at all! I ordered seafood platter, nope wasn't good! I feel they need to focus on a little more on the food! Maybe a good cook could help?
This is a very interesting venue. There were barely any customers at all at the time I visited so I was able to take in the location very easily. The balcony view is very nice. JP the bartender was very personable and entertained as he made very tasty drinks. Even if you’re bored, there is that thousand gallon tank of exotic fish behind you to like at…very nice!
Delicious chicken gumbo soup. Amazing gator/ shrimp tacos - the shrimp was bacon- wrapped! Great view of the tank full of rays, shark, and giant fish. Friendly service. Be prepared cor $8-10 parking. You can eat here without admission to the aquarium
Food was awesome, service excellent, great for a quick lunch, love seeing the new sharks in tank.
Loved this place. Food was great and had alot of options. The aquarium part was fun and entertaining.
Been here a few times. I think like most restaurants right now staffing is an issue. We kept having to wave the waiter down. We were never checked on. Just basic things needed like refills, water and my points were not added even though he was told in the beginning. Food was decent. We had steaks, lobster tail, Cajun pasta and fried onion, jalapeño and pickles. It's a bit pricey but you pay for the ambience. Overall it's an experience to at least try once. Go for the experience more then the food.
If you are visiting Houston this absolutely must see place! Great experience, fun entire family and place for any occasion! Great food, exotic environment, gift shop, some carnival rides right outside, shark exploration trip on the train, stingray feeding, underground zoo all in one place. For Houstonians convenient event venue on the top floor, very clean bathrooms, pretty view from the balcony to see downtown, 5star delicious food must be reserved at least 8-6 months in advance. Highly recommend!
Wanna having dinner & surrounded by ocean fishes? Come to this amazing restaurant to enjoy its off the chart cuisines. A must come place when you visit Houston, Texas
We gave one star only because the aquarium is beautiful. We ate at the restaurant for my daughter’s birthday. The wait staff was horrible. When we received our food, it was cold or at room temperature. We continued to eat it simply because we never saw the wait staff. It was very unsatisfying! After talking to the manger, the only thing that was done was to cover our dessert which was going to be done anyway because of the birthday celebrations. Horrible experience, especially for the cost.
Clean atmosphere & great host/waitress. Food took a while but we didn't mind. Everyone enjoyed their meal except the blackened salmon & capers (didn't get a picture of her plate) were a little salty.
The quality of the food is terrible. Tomato paste sauce in lieu of cocktail sauce. Never again.
Took the nieces here recently, they had a great time and the service was on point. Appreciate y’all!
Lovely environment. Very kids friendly. I enjoyed dining with my family here, while watching the fish in the background. I would recommend.
Workers were so friendly and helpful. Place was clean, even the outside! Had company from out of town, they enjoyed it.
Exquisite place.definitely worth taking and afternoon and visiting. The Aquarium itself is simply awesome; girgeous from start to finish and one of the best aquariums this side of the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi.
I saw Landry's owned the restaurant and immediately thought two things; this is going to be pricey but the food is going to be five-star. It was pricey, but closer to four-and-a-half stars. Little thing make the biggest difference. I ordered raw oysters (my appetizer go to) and what normally costs about $12 at other seafood establishments is $21. That's fine.but my real issue is that they aren't anything special. They came in an awesome bowl rather than a plastic pan, which is nice. But i got the same ol' plastic packets of cheap crackers. Weird thing to be picky about I know, but seriously; for nearly double the price all these oysters needed was one simple improvement to the cheapest portion of the meal to make a massive visceral and pallettable difference. And that was the whole meal; everything was one simple ingredient shy of being something really impressive. After spending $10 on parking, $75 on entrance and $120 on a meal for 3 I would like to see thise little things to really make the experience. And so rather than focusing on the really awesome aspects of the experience (the AMAZING atmosphere and really good food) I'm left question something as trivial as crackers. Not really fair to Landry's; this place is awesome. But it's one good set of crackers away from being a 5-star experience.
Delicious, Flavored, and fresh. My family and myself went here after we got to see the fishes. Clam chowder was super good. Very family friendly. The balcony was unavailable at the time of our visit but eating inside was ok cause it was 95 outside. Worth going to after the exhibit. Imber was a great waiter!
I had a really good experience at restaurant! The food was excellent everything tasted so delicious I was very satisfied. The waiter was also very nice and the scenery was so beautiful and romantic. I can't wait to go again!
Very poor service my food was not freshly cooked and my beverage with alcohol was like an iced tea with no alcohol strawberry daiquiri a hot mess never going back there
Simply fantastic, Jose was our waiter, he was knowledgeable, full of energy and funny. I see why this place is the best aquarium in the country. Only spent about 300 here too. The experience will last a lifetime
Food was really good. Lighting was a little too dim for us. But loved sitting across all the fishes. We had a great time.
