Ararat international supermarket reviews
16Really welcoming and helpful. We stopped in to look around and ended up getting a full tour and free samples. Can’t wait to go back and try more food.
Very clean store, good selection and pleasant staff. I was hoping to find rye bread and frozen black/red currant here and got both. Highly recommend!
Everything is fresh and great service! Sasha and the lady in the deli were so friendly and helpful. Great experience overall.
Absolutely amazing grocery for Eastern European food. Service was outstanding with very friendly staff.
The store made food in the deli was fantastic!
Good selection and I definitely recommend it.
Love the selection and all the food samples.
Try homemade honey cake. It's awesome.
Wonderful place. Very good selection of European offerings across many regions, and very nice staff. Went there today and 100% satisfied. Also, lastly, their 'kielbasa' is on point Polish.
Lovely store, so nice stuff and an owner. By the way, there is a pizza guy after a next door at the right. An NY style pizza is mnnnn, so yummy.
Amazing find! Great products, wonderful people, and delicious food. Best salad Olvia and stuffed grape leaves I’ve ever had. Nicely located and much needed for Persian and other goodies near Spring.

Amazing International variety that you can find anywhere else. Delicious fresh food and excellent customer service. You will not be disappointed!
Really impressed with merchandise and prices. Staff was really nice and had a great selection. We want to go back.
Happened to see this establishment enroute to the airport. In a strip center on Spring-Cypress Road and Holzwarth, across from the H‑E‑B at FM 2920 and Spring-Cypress Road. Always on the lookout for new local dining and food/grocery/produce establishments. The reference to Mt. Ararat on the sign and logo was intriguing. Stopped by on the return and glad I did. The place was well-stocked with Mediterranean and, in particular, Armenian, groceries - the kitchen area at the rear was abuzz with the owners and their families, cooking up a storm of nice-looking dishes. Engaged in conversation with the owner and certain family members - all very friendly and welcoming. They soon piled up incredible, fresh samples on a plate for me to taste. The pilaf was out of this world - warm, fluffy, flavorful rice with a generous helping of tender chunks of beef. The baba ganoush was smoky eggplant all the way through - so yummy! As was the hummus - flavorful! Had a taste of the Mortadella and carrot salads, followed by a heavenly piece of “honey cake” and a piece of the semolina dessert. Wow! Ended up buying more food than my waistline deserved - but hey, what’s life if not for trying out new restaurants/foods and meeting good, hardworking folks from different cultures! A fitting set up for the 4th of July weekend! Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - through food!
Blown away by the friendliness/warmth and generosity of the owners and the fresh-fresh tasting and flavorful food. They specialize in kebabs- made fresh to order. On the radar for my next visit. Cooked food and desserts are cheaper by the pound (or portions thereof, as opposed to by the plate). They cater parties/gatherings as well. A pound each of pilaf and honey cake, and 3/4 pound each of baba ganoush and mortadella salad set me back $54; worth every penny. Glad I stopped by and looked in! Do give the place a try - good local businesses need all the support they can get in these tough times.
Organized, well stocked store. The owners and employees are extremely generous and kind. All the salads, meats, baked goods prepared on site - all delicious and taste like childhood.
Great amount of products and variety, products from Eastern europe and Asia. Worth a visit!
What a gem. The customer service is amazing. The minute me and my daughter walked in, we were given food and drink samples. I felt the level hospitality I encountered in Caucus region and Central Asia only. We ate Uzbek style plov, tried Russian cold salads like olivye and vinegret, cake Medovik, home-made Israeli deserts and lamb shashlyk (shish kabob). I also eneded up buying with sweets, breads, Georgian and Armenian canned preserves. If you are not familiar with these foods, I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys Mediterranean food.
We were in the shopping center, and decided to go in to this little store. What a great place. The have a lot of items we can't find at our local grocers, and a great selection.
Then, to our pleasant surprise, we get to the back and see that they have fresh foods. The two cooks were back there, whipping up fresh salads and sweet treats, and more. It smelled great! We were then treated to a feast! "Would you like to sample? " Well, heck yeah:) Everything we tasted was fresh and flavorful and made with care. They just kept putting more on our tasting plate:)
Very kind and helpful staff with a super clean store. We will be back for sure!
You have to get the Baba ghanoush, it is the best I've ever had. Just great!
