Arlington Family Practice, PA

I have been going here for practically all of my life and would not go anywhere else. The care I have received is beyond anything I have gotten anywhere else. My doctors here (one has since retired) are professionals that really listen to what you have to say instead of jumping to a diagnosis right away. They take the time to discuss things with you to make sure you understand.
I am one that doesn't care for medications and prefer a more natural or holistic approach and my doctors pay attention to that desire. I really respect them and appreciate them for that.
The people here are more like friends and family than just healthcare providers.
The fact that I have seen the same faces here for years says a lot too. Not a big turnover anywhere in the office.
The receptionists are great and work well with me to schedule appointments. If they're busy (and often are-but only because this office is the best) I may have to wait a little bit, but its worth it.
One last thing- the lady that is there to draw blood is named Marcia. I know her name because she is fantastic. She will make you smile for sure. She takes the time to be sure you are comfortable and doesn't just poke at you. Her smiling face, care and laughter make a blood draw a good thing!
All in all, if you are looking for quality and good care, you ought to try Arlington Family Practice. They have made my life a better one.

I'm beyond disappointed in the way this doctor handles new patients. We just moved to this area and had an amazing family doctor back home for years and knew we would need to find a new one as we got settled here. My son ended up hurting his foot at school unexpectedly so I made an appointment here for the next day as I was not sure what could be causing the pain and wanted to get it checked out. The morning of the appointment, he woke up and said his foot was feeling much better so we could tell it would be healing on it's own and was nothing serious. I called to let the office know and cancel (instead of just not showing up like some people would do and allow that time to be open for those who needed to see the doctor) and was told by the receptionist "Ok this will be marked as a no show. " I asked what that meant seeing as how I called to let them know instead of actually being a no show, and her response was "Well when new patients call and cancel, it is up to the doctor whether or not she wants to see the patient in the future". I was baffled. That is extremely disappointing as we were really looking forward to making this our family doctor for years to come. I feel it would be different if I had actually just not shown up for the appointment. Very, very disappointing.

My husband and I have used this practice for over 20 years. My experience is with Dr. Laura Rice specifically. If you want someone to stay on top of all the details, she's your person. If you want someone who will hold you accountable, she's your person. If you want someone who'll cheer your victories, she's definitely your person! There's no quick in & out visit with your doctor here. I've left every appointment with every concern completely addressed. Also, the wait time has ALWAYS been minimal.

The administration of the practice is probably smoother than any I've seen. My insurance billing has always run very smoothly, no issues there.

I highly recommend Dr. Rice and Arlington Family Practice.

The Doctors are good here but they need more staff to ensure faster help. It seems like that there are too many customers for the staff to accommodate for the times needed for people that work. Maybe this place should open on Saturdays and hire PRN staff to help with the back-fill.

Always a pleasure seeing and interacting with the doctors and staff. Very friendly yet professional. I’ve always left there feeling like the genuinely care for my health and well being. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Everyone I've seen in this office is friendly. Especially the nurse that took tubes of my blood. Dr. Truong is very nice and encourage me to take better care of my health rather than scold me for not doing my annual checkups for over 5 years now. Hopefully the nurse that's about to update all my boosters will be gentle

Do not pick this as your health care provider. Not only are the front desk personnel short and rude, the doctor's aren't helpful nor seem to care about their patients. Find another doctor, unless you like being treated badly.

I just called up there and they don't wait for u to say yes it's ok to hold.

I have seen Dr. Rice for quite a few years now. I feel so comfortable with her and truly feel that she cares about my entire well being. Cheryl is wonderful; very efficient and gets so much done. The staff are always courteous and helpful and actually seem to care. I get messages when my RXs have been sent to the pharmacy which is very helpful. I've also seen Dr. Truong when Dr. Rice is not available and she is also efficient, reliable and helpful. Highly recommend AFP!

I started with them over a year ago for a women's exam & they kept asking me over and over If I wanted a shot. After I said no each time it was like they were pressuring me to get one still. They never answer their phones.there answering machine says 8: 15am. They forward my call over at 8: 17am and I kept calling.
No longer with this doc/place.

Dr. Truong has been amazing! She sees my whole family and has alway been diligent and thorough with providing care. I went through a very difficult situation with my health and Dr. Truong made sure to keep up with all my specialists, recommendations, and medications. She helped navigate me through a scary time of health challenges. I am so grateful to her!

Dr. Laura Rice is the best doctor I've ever had. She took the time to hear all my medical history and she genuinely cares about her clients. She is hard to get into but well worth the wait. I've struggled for several years with quality of life health issues, having no idea there was a doctor that could help alleviate them! Thank God for Dr. Rice and other Doctors like her!

I called to set up an appointment with my doctor and encountered a very terrible experience. The receptionist was very short and rude. Instead of being patient and helping me, she made me feel stupid about my phone call. I feel embarrassed about how she made me feel. I hope the office addresses this issue, and improves their customer service in order to better assist the care of their patients.

They have an issue with at least one receptionist (not sure if one or more works there). This person was very short worded and rude. Reception is the first point of contact with a Doc office so very important to have the right type of person in that position. I will find somewhere else and some generic response from "owner" won't help the cause. The doctor's may be great but I bet they never get to meet many patients because potential new one's are turned off by reception.

I'm a new patient of Dr. Aramath by referral and she is knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and informed me of the follow up process. The issue I would like to address is the office. PLEASE someone remodel this office. It's drabby, furniture is old, offices brown and tan, bathroom is joined to a patient room, really it looks awful. Patient healthcare is #1 concern but it needs to be appealing to those who visit. A little paint and updated office furniture can go a long way.

Dr. Aramath and the ENTIRE staff was awesome! They seem to have a great rapport with their patients. I am excited to have this clinic provide me with my medicinal needs.

I was a long-time patient at this practice. I had been going there since I was 10 years old and seeing Dr. Dennis. She was the absolute best doctor. I miss her a lot. When I came back after Dr. Dennis retired, apparently they dismissed me from the practice. And now they just dismissed my dad because my mother wanted to switch her primary doctor at the practice. Apparently, this office is in the business of just randomly dismissing patients without any warning or explanation. It is NOT what it used to be even 5 years ago. Find a different doctor, because all the good ones have retired.

Everyone here truly cares for you. I have been coming here so many years they have become family. All of the Dr's and the staff are truly top notch. I personally recommend Dr. Shirley Aramath because she is the first Dr that I have truly listened to. She makes sure that I get the care I need.

I am a 67 year old male and have been a patient at Arlington Family Practice for 17 yrs. Dr. Gouldy has been my primary care physician during this time and I feel he has provided me excellent care. He excels in preventative medicine and has always taken as much time as needed to explain my diagnostic reports and treatment.
On occasion I have seen other doctors there and they have been very attentive and capable as well.
The nurses and support staff has always been very pleasant and accommodating. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Gouldy and Arlington Family Practice for your medical needs. They're great!

Dr. Aramath and the staff here, are by far the best experience I have had in the medical field. Very organized.where most offices are far from organized. I have been very happy to deal with them all!
