Arrowhead on the Nueces, Camp Wood TX

Matt was the best.so attentive to our needs.rooms were clean and equipped kitchen.best time ever.highly recommend this place.

Loved this place.bungalows are very clean and spacious.main house was great, we all sat outside of the main house. Arrowhead on the Nueces accommodations for our large group was awesome.we will definitely staying there again.ya'll rock!

Matt was a great owner and camp host. Extremely approachable, accommodating and down to earth. The cabins were clean and well stocked. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice private spot on the Nueces.

I called arrowhead for information about the local area, and the gentleman on the phone was extremely helpful! He went out of his way to offer whatever he could to meet our needs. He also gave us loads of information on kayaking for the local area, which was extremely helpful for my wife and I who were coming in from Dallas to kayak. It is very rare to interact with someone with customer service like this these days, so it’s very refreshing when you do!

We will definitely be going back, clean cabins, well kept property and great fishing. Matt was very helpful and went out of his way for us while we were there.

Me and my daughter took a hunting trip in the area, rooms were clean and comfy, staff was awesome. Would highly reccomend!

Great place to stay with family or friends. The big house is good for larger families, my family of four stayed in the smaller cabin and we did fine. Most our time was spend outdoors so we never felt cramped or on top of one another. The walk to the river is less than 5 minutes and the water is beautiful.

Great place to stay! Didn't get to the river this trip, but lived our stay non the less. Would come back again!

We stayed in the guest house and it was so nice! Very roomy. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. It had every thing from a variety of sizes pots and pans, knives, utensils, can opener, etc.you name it, they had it. Matt was very nice and went above and beyond for my father in law who needed some repairs to his motorcycle. We appreciated that as well. In the middle of the place, there was a playground for the kids. It has a tether ball, seesaw, playhouse and a slide. My kids thoroughly enjoyed playing outside-not to mention the weather was absolutely beautiful we were told the river is just walking distance from where we staged but we were busy and did not get a chance to get to the river. There was a sitting area with benches and a fire pit. Surrounding the firepit was an abundance of firewood! It was so nice to be able to sit under the stars and catch up with friends and family.

We had a great experience and plan on coming back in the future!

The guest house is very welcoming and home away from home. The Nueces River is down the street. Beautiful landscape. The area is clean and stocked with the necessities of each room.

I stayed here for three days with my daughter, her husband and their kids and absolutely loved it. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was super nice. Everything you need for cooking your own meals. Matt and all of the family were super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We rented kayaks and did the shorter run and it was perfect for all of us. The river is super close and beautiful. Crystal clear water and perfect for fishing, swimming, tubing, etc. The area is beautiful and Camp Wood is a perfect little town with some yummy barbecue! We have decided we will make this an annual trip (if not more often). Highly recommend to anyone needing a relaxing, fun trip for a few days or longer.

My husband and I stayed in the cottage, which was perfect for us. Very clean and comfortable. Walked down to the river every day, which was so much fun! Absolutely love this place and will definately stay here again.
