Ascend Horseback Riding, Dallas TX

I’m taking riding lessons and actually making progress. I’m a 57 year old woman who couldn’t ride a horse properly and Rocky, the has been a fantastic, very patient and supportive instructor. I adore these people! This is for you too! Small group trail rides are so fun. You’re in the cedar trees and white limestone hills of Southwest Dallas. Here’s pics of another student who’s loving this too. I highly recommend any horsemanship program here at Ascend.

It was a wonderful experience, if you are looking for an outdoor activity this is your shoot, it can be a family, couple or solo.
They have a very experienced horseman that is capable of helping you and giving you a little training before riding.

I had an amazing time here. We had booked a session as part of an couple's anniversary gift. The owner was a fantastic teacher and great storyteller. Typically I have some anxiety when it comes to trying out new things but seeing how well-trained the horses were quelled my nervousness tenfold. The trail was gorgeous!

We had a great time taking a private lesson for 3 with Rocky from Ascend Horseback Riding! Rocky taught us how to ride a horse, maintain distance, switch between trot and walking, and lots of other information about horses. It was very educational and fun.

We got there early and didn't see anyone when we first arrived, so we parked in the first parking lot and followed signs saying 'check-in' since we didn't see anyone. Turns out it was for a camp there, so we called to figure out where to go. The guy that answered was extremely rude, unprofessional, and sarcastic. The ride itself was fun, the guide was nice and friendly. Seriously though, maybe not have the guy with 0 social skills or awareness handle phone calls, it put a very poor taste in our mouths from the start.

OMG! I Love to see when we as individuals find out passion. Joann is living hers everyday, she made my birthday trail ride one to remember. I’ll definitely bring family and friends along next time

I had a wonderful experience today. It was my first-time riding. But I did not feel it was my first time. All thanks to Joanna who is very knowledgeful and encouraging, really helped me to learn in an easy way. And HONOR was amazing soul. Such calm, understanding, peaceful, handsome, adorable horse who made me feel so comfortable and confident.

Fun first time experience horseback riding! Joanna was my amazing trail guide and was informative and fun!

This was a pretty fun experience! The price wasn't crazy and my horse was intimidating but was like a gentle giant. Definitely will have to go back for a longer ride next time.

Arrived at Ascend waited 42 mins at the gate tried to call no answer left 3 messages someone called back to say they where closed and that it was because of the rain we received no email no text to advise us of this we traveled an hour to get there and we wasted a day of our vacation as we planned the day around the horse ride very disappointed and frustrated!

Went for my first Horse riding. It was a magical experience and Rocky was very patient and kind enough to answer all my questions related to Horses and Horse riding. Would definitely recommend this place.

I took my 9 yr old daughter for the first time today and she had a blast! The camp itself was very clean, Rocky was very informative and nice. We are definitely going back to take her on the trail and we are very interested in putting her in lessons!

I had a wonderful trail ride however I was disappointed that it wasnt a full 1 hour ride and it is most certainly for beginners. It was nice to get back on a horse and Rose was lovely however I am hoping for something more challenging next time. Rocky was a great trail leader.

Had the most amazing horseback riding experience in my life – our trainer, Brian, was as smart as he was patient throughout the 45 min session throughout the trails. Our horses – two beautiful American Quarter Horses named Leftie and Shadow – were some of the most beautiful creatures I've ever seen. They were gentle, yet majestic, and gave us an exhilarating experience that I'll never forget.

Had a damn good time on my trail ride today, hosted by Rocky. Great host/guide by the way! Was my first ride ever on a horse and it was amazing. Great ride, great conversation, very peaceful and all around great experience that I will definitely be doing again. Thank you for the ride Ms. Rose

Our trail guide was Rocky and he did a phenomenal job! Made some great conversation and the horses were excellent! Wonderfully trained, they did exactly as they’re told.i pretty much sat there while the horse (Shadow) did her thing.all around a fun, easy and relaxing experience.i would recommend this to anyone in the area
