Ascension Seton Smithville - Emergency reviews
16They took forever to get me back. The ER clerk didn’t speak and I begged for help and she sent the cop to tell me to leave. One of the nurses rolled her eyes at me. And the others were so nice. The ct tech was amazing. I would go to Austin instead of Smithville in the future.
Ive been sitting here for almost 2hrs with a gaping cut in my leg and they literally took everybody back before me. I will never come back here again. Hopefully no one else has to go through this. They didnt even put a rap or anything just left the dirty paper towel that i put around the cut and to go sit in the waiting room and took people back that came in way after me. Horrible place.
Ascension Seton hospital was a new experience for me. However I’ve had my fair share of hospital visits in many other locations. A. S.was very good and I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of care and attention I received there. No one wants to spend time in the hospital. However if circumstances necessitate your needing medical care I would highly recommend Ascention Seton Austin for your healthcare needs.
The hospital staff is super sweet and they handled things really well. The nurse, Victoria…LOVED her! They also didn’t take too long and spoke very clearly. They were also transparent and I felt that this hospital was great!
The nurses were great. Doctor was informative. No complaints on that part truly.
Only thing I didn’t care for was the unprofessionalism amongst the staff. The patients can hear everything and when the dr and nurses complain about the ambulance that’s bringing them business, that gives them a crappy image. The ambulance drivers ask where a patient wants to go for services. So it’s the patients option.
The driver made a decision to take a sickly patient to the closest hospital due to the bad weather and the staff had many complaints about that and even had the patient chime in and talk about Fayette county “sucking”. I’ve had my share of passing unfair judgement as well but this really wasn’t necessary. It was unprofessional.
Very nice good staff. Nurses well informed they took good care of my husband. The room was clean along w/ the hospital. The doctors were very thorough and took time to make sure we understood what was going on. Beautiful people, caring and helpful. We liked the care they provided. We highly recommend Aesension in Kyle.
ER nurses, Heidi and Donna could not have been more accommodating and kind to my 90 year old mom, who was having excruciating back pain and somewhat dehydrated. Dr. Brieger was compassionate and caring, took time to learn my mother’s issues, and order tests to see how to help. We are very new to the area and after 5-6 hours in Ascension Seton, Smithville ER, on Thursday, January 11,2024, we have no doubt where we will go in the future. My mother received excellent care and attention!
Most everything was good… but the doctor, if he was a doctor, as he never introduced himself. He was with my sister, who has dementia, for at least 3 seconds. He made the statement that her foot was not broken and that she would be getting a boot. Then poof! He hurried away.
Nothing about what to do about the swelling or for the pain.
The doctor, nurse's, respiratory tech and CT tech at Seton Smithville were wonderful and helpful in every way possible. Thank you guys.
Came in late at night because of an accident and I was very happy about the speed and quality of care I got. A lot of people (patients and security) seemed to know why I was there, but that could be because I was there with my sister and she was talking to me the whole time to calm me down and people overheard.
They treated my dad with upmost respect. Very proud of the service he received while at the ER. Just a shame the hospital is not fully functional so he could have receive his other services local.
Donna and Kaitlyn were awesome as well as Dr East’s
They all went above and beyond and took the best care of me
My visit to Ascension Seton Smithville Emergency room was positive for me. I was seen very quickly and the doctor and nurses were all very attentive and kind. I am glad we have an emergency room that is reasonably close to me.
Very professional and I was treated very well every time they’re quick and fast always helped me figure out what been going on with me
The doctor was so busy. He was the only doctor there. He was very nice and explained everything to me
If I had to go back I would
The nurses where very nice. All the other staff was nice also.
When I walked in I was thinking this is a good ER and it everything so clean they come up to you to talk to you everyone has a smile on their faces, like they have not had a bad day. The Dr was awesome, I can tell when someone cares for you and how you are feeling it makes you feel good even though you don't. So thank you so much for being there for me
