Worst place I ever lived. Management avoids answering calls or emails for your problems. I’m still dealing with these people 10 months after I moved out because they claim I owe them money even though I’ve been back twice after moving out to pay any remaining fees. Most disorganized management ever. The biggest scam of an apartment I’ve ever lived in. DONT LIVE HERE PLEASE

This is the third time the AC is leaking from the roof. They keep “fixing it” and it continues to leak. Unbelievable.

The truth is that I do not recommend this place to live, to begin with, when applying, they told us that the stove, the washer and dryer, and the refrigerator would be all new. The maintenance man blew up, there he was and he only said that it was a short and that's how they left it. The refrigerator is all dirty, all broken inside the drawers, the locker doesn't lock the clothes. It's ready, we've been here for two months and we're still having the same problem. The parking lot is lousy if you arrive after 9 at night and if you are lucky you will find parking we see cars that from the two months we have been here are still in the same parked place as if they never move and there are many parking lots to be sure you have to pay another 35 dollars things that I think are not being done because we see many cars in reserved spaces and with the same stickers as the regular ones now we see that people put their own space reserved with aerosol paint to have their parking, which is not right, there are already many parked cars without moving and now that la Cerda is a very bad place we have been here for two months and we already want to move

Three years of living there, it was very pleasant, a very safe and quiet property and the people in charge provided excellent service. I recommend it, a beautiful place to live. I have so many beautiful memories in it.

DON'T trust the 4 star reviews. I have just move in to this complex and already hated it. The amenities is limited, they don't even provide microwave. The apartment was disgusting and was obviously not cleaned when I move in. Death roaches in the fridge and I have to deal with roaches almost everyday. I have live in multiple apartment complex and this one by far the worst. Truly make my first impression about living in Austin awful.

NEW UPDATE 1/16/2023 - Called and emailed them several times. Never got back to me. This place is a joke. I even went there during business hours and there was no one working. I slipped a note in the door for them to get back to me, and they didn’t. They are purposefully ignoring every attempt I make to contact them. Do not rent here. It’s hilarious they commented offering to help, it is all a front. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.
UPDATE 12/21/2022 - Just saw they replied to my review. Called and left a voicemail. Told them to call me back and that I'd be calling again tomorrow.
Absolutely horrendous. This place owes me $937.06. “Gated community” yet gates do not work and fence was broken in several places. I entered the apartment and it was filthy. Urine was in the toilet. Appliances were filthy. Floors covered in visible dirt with boot prints. I was told a cleaning service just came by, which was a lie, and the apartment was disgusting. Informed office it was filthy and they had two women come by to clean it. The women did not clean it, and instead used a wet mop over the dirt covered floors and created a mud then left. Maintenance man came into my apartment with no shoes on. Literally barefoot. Cleaning woman injured my service animal by hitting him very hard with her mop to where he cried out. Everything was broken. Huge crack in door letting bugs and air in. Gave them another chance to fix things and was told they would call me to set up a time to come and fix things. I left to work, came back and my apartment was in disarray. They let my service animals out and had done something like spray painted, without covering any of my belongings in turn ruining several thousand dollars worth of my things. Cat had dried spray on their backs. Their food and water was covered in the paint and they had been drinking and eating out of it for hours. Pots and pans, food, clothes, shoes, everything was ruined. I was allowed to break the lease and move out and they informed me I would be fully refunded in 30 days. I had to quit my job and move back home because I didn’t have the finances at the time to secure another apartment. I waited 30 days and received a check for 50 dollars. They charged me a cleaning fee and carpet cleaning fee, there is no carpet in the unit. I called to inform them the check was wrong and I was being charged for things that didn’t even make sense. Was told they had already informed me of the mistakes (they did not) and that I was to wait another 30 days for a new check. Waited another 30 days, no check came. Called for two weeks trying to get ahold of them. Left voicemails without a returned phone call. Finally got ahold of someone and after a week of him trying to get me an answer, I was told it was “out of their hands” and that someone named Daniel would be calling me. Has been over a week no phone call. I asked them to give me Daniel’s information but was told I could not have his information. Leaving me with no one to contact about the near grand they owe me. Will be taking them to court for property damage and full refund.

Horrible place that owes me money and caused me to lose my job. Avoid at all costs.

I do not recommend this place, I have lived here for years, the maintenance is lacking.
Office service does nothing. I have had the water problem for years and even more so with hot water. I definitely do not recommend anyone to rent here.

So far maintenance has taken forever and they have yet to fix some issues. Laundry sucks (machines are clogged full with water) and it’s impossible to pay for it since the machine to get laundry credit doesn’t work. Had never really cared about management since hadn’t experienced one where they didn’t really care or was so unorganized. On top of that pool and gym are closed.

Quick note: Their rebranding is an absolute joke. The neighborhood is not safe at all. I literally wouldn't walk around alone at night without a weapon. And I truly mean literally. This is the third and final update because I escaped this hellscape.

SECOND UPDATE (it's so ridiculous I had to share) :
In my first update I mentioned the serious bug problem/lack of exterminators (even though we pay for them every month). About a week after leaving that review we all magically received notices on our doors asking permission for exterminators to spray inside our apartments. Hooray! And what impeccable timing! It's almost as if they knew!
But here's where it gets really weird. *Everyone* filled out these forms and *everyone* okayed the exterminators to come inside (because we all have a terrible bug problem!) I gleefully awaited the day they would come like it was Christmas morning, but alas, it came and went with nary an exterminator on the property. That sure was an elaborate prank they pulled on us! Anyway, I'm pretty sure the bugs are planning a coup. Send help.

UPDATE AFTER 15 MONTHS: These seem like lovely apartments for the price when you first arrive, but scratch beneath the surface and the problems arise.
The only reason I didn't bring this down to 1 star is because the ladies in the office are very sweet. And it's not their fault the complex keeps getting bought out by big management companies who ultimately control things. Unfortunately it's very difficult to get a hold of anyone. I understand that the office was locked down due to the pandemic, but this has been an issue since we moved in. I couldn't even get anyone on the phone to renew our lease. I called and emailed for 5 months.
We didn't have a deadbolt or a peep hole on our front door (which are legally required for safety reasons). It took over 6 months to get the peep hole installed and we still don't have a deadbolt.
The bug problem is atrocious. We pay for exterminators that supposedly come every Thursday, but I've never seen anyone spraying or treating for bugs in any way. They've certainly never sprayed doorways or balconies. Nothing is caulked & shoddy carpentry mean there are there are gaps everywhere- in the cabinets, in the drawers, where the walls meet, EVERYWHERE. There are large holes where the pipes come in. All a perfect breeding ground for roaches. Once we get rid of them a new batch moves in. And they're terrible roommates.
Most of their resources seem to go toward landscaping and outward appearances to make the property seem nicer than it actually is. I understand these aren't luxury aparents, but we pay over $1000/month for a one bedroom. It should be better.
