Asian Star Buffet, San Antonio TX

Went to get the Early Bird Senior lunch buffet advertised on their Website today for $7.99. Arrived there to see sign in Lobby for $8.99. When I get my check it is $10.99 less 10% senior/military discount of 10% for $9.89 each! Go to have check adjusted and was told.ohhh, that is our old price. I pointed out to him that this is the price on THEIR WEBSITE. Had to give him my phone twice for him to double check the price. He then says OK and rings up the register for the $8.99 price anyways. I then have to have him re-ring register for the $7.99 price. Looks like my 1st and last trip to this fine establishment.

It's a pretty decent spot nice atmosphere and the food they have is good. Honestly the selection is a little generic, nothing special but again the things they served were good. Very clean and will maintained. The staff were very nice and attentive even though it was a busy Saturday night. The only downside to me was for 14.99 a person, the selection was a little generic.

Grab legs took almost an hour to come out and they only put one pan out. Thier deserts were not appealing at all, and the ice cream was like water and sugar without milk. Honestly, I don't ever plan on going back.

This place was the most dirty buffet I have ever seen. Half of the food wasn't even out. No crab legs or anything. It was insanely with such a limited selection. After we paid the waitress came over and handed my husband the receipt and straight up asked "how much are you going to tip" he said he was signing the receipt, but she just kept asking. It was awkward. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Probably not the best place to have lunch if one is still trying to honor New Year's resolutions to lose weight. If you are really hungry and did not bother making food deprivation resolutions, this is the perfect place to satisfy one's empty stomach. On this visit, I went to the Mongolian grill first. I suppose if you don't want any veggies and you only want beef, pork, shrimp, chicken, and imitation crab, that is okay (they did not tell me no). Next, I went to the sushi bar. I am not sure if I really like sushi but I am trying to make it an acquired taste. Then I went to the salad bar and grabbed some cold boiled shrimp and cocktail sauce. The meal only cost me $8.50 because I found a 10% off coupon on the internet. Of course I visited the dessert bar.several times. I like pudding way too much!

First off very impressed by the cleanliness. The food was great. Had a variety of asian cuisine and the service was exceptional. Will definitely come back here.

Absolutely disgusting! This place gave me food poisoning! Lucky for me it started at 2 am on Christmas. Will never return here!

They have a good selection of foods anf the place was clean. And the beat part is the servers they were extremely attentive and polite

Sugar, fat and gristle. I understand quality suffers at buffets, but this was seriously low quality.

Perfect place for having all diet options; salads, chicken, veggie, soups, meat, sea food and sweeties. Cheap and fast. No big lines for entrance. Small beverages menu and no beers.

If you want great service and great flavor please try this place. It will not disappoint you in any way. The cooks got it right! The food is always fresh, the place is always clean. And and waiters and waitresses are always helpful and kind. We like to ask for Johnny to help us. He is a great person! I will recommend this place hands down! The owners of this place got it right!

This is a decent buffet that has a good clean restaurant with professional staff. However, the general Tso was a little bit disappointing. I used to have east coast Chinese food so I do not expect it to be that high of quality but the rest of the food was decent and fresh. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to just try a few random things and bring the family otherwise go to a more proper place.

Fresh and varied selection. Would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates good Asian buffet dining. Only comparison I'm familiar with is China King on San Pedro. Asian Star stands alone.

Pretty standard buffet, did have a large selection of vegetarian choices. Priced in the normal range for a buffet.

Was once the top Asian buffet in the Medical Center. The reduced steak portions has drove down the appeal.
