Athens Scuba Park

Our trip was long, but it was well worth it. The campground was very country feeling, beautiful trees, 8 acre lake, and very quiet, in fact during the week we were the only campers. My husband and son had a great time, there were many items in the lake for them to explore while scuba diving. Planes, boats, large pipes to swim through, etc. It was a great family mini vacay

We had a super awesome time diving at the park. Super clean showers/bathrooms, amazing people/staff, and really helpful with checking on gear or possible fixes. My dive computer wasn't working, but they were able to find the problem, and gave it back to me working at 100%. The structures down in the water was such a cool thing to see. I had a blast haha

Knowledgable and passionate about their craft. They have an extremely diverse selection of gear at prices that are comparable to web prices. They act like they want us to be there and are willing to work to make any issue we come across a non-issue. We all love it there and will be back

Three of us went there for our first time today.we drove 2 1/2 to go to this lake.

Friendliness: 10 out of 10 We felt welcomed and completely safe, they answered every question we had AND made some great suggestions.

Cleanliness: 9 out of 10, only because our pavilion didn't have a cover. I think it may have have gotten damaged in a storm and they haven't had time to replace it yet, either way, it was still a really nice place to hang out between dives.

Water Clarity: I give it a 6/7 out of 10. Mainly because I can't stop bouncing off the lake bottom. (sorry to all the other divers)

Prices: 8 out of 10 the prices were a little high, HOWEVER, the quality of the rental gear is EXTREAMLY good. I was really surprised at how good it was.

All in all, we look forward to returning to Athens Scuba Park.

Staff is friendly, helpful and facilities are clean. They have done a real good job at sinking attractions at the park to make it an enjoyable place to dive.

Amazing. Great for snorkeling or diving. Lots of artifacts for viewing. Dive shop owners are extremely helpful. Will come here again.

A very good visibility, hardly any fish, lots of things sunk like boats and and cars and things like that to dive next to. Very friendly dive shop handles Mares scuba gear.

This was our first visit, and well worth it! The bathrooms are very clean, and the owners are very helpful. Lots of sunken treasures to see, and the segmented tunnels are great for showing other divers about overhead environment diving. Scuba Ranch will always be home, but we will be back to Athens scuba Park guaranteed!

This place is awesome. I have an issue with murky water, and we got there early as possible and it was nice and great visibility. Later in the day it gets murky but I'd absolutely go back. The staff at the shop were great and knowledgeable too!

Nice folks running the park. It was a great place to do my open water certification dives.

The owners are super nice, helpful and so kind. I plan on coming to see them again very soon.

My son and I spent the last 2 days diving here. We're new divers, and this was the perfect spot to practice and explore some really cool sunken items. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. The water was gorgeous. Visibility wasn't great, but it's been raining so the bottom hasn't quite settled. Didn't really matter though because they have buoys marking the different locations/attractions. Will definitely be back.

Customer service is lacking. Had issues with the rental gear and the shop owner proceeded to lecture us for 30 minutes in a condescending tone. Additionally, when we were done our dive, no one was in the shop or surrounding buildings. We were left confused and frustrated.

Not recommended for RV; the lot was bumpy and the trail around the lake was unpaved.

Terrible visibility. Could only see two feet in front of me even though the water looked beautifully blue from afar. Below is a photo of me descending from a buoy. I know the owner likes to say that it depends on "mother nature" but it should be the dive shop's responsibility to give a proper run-down about the conditions before letting its customers waste money. The place seemed abandoned when we first drove in and that should have been our warning sign. When we went back to the shop after testing the water it was locked up since they left for lunch. Unprofessional.

This is a great place to buy your scuba diving equipment. Great customer service, great product, and the location is amazing.

I highly recommend coming here if you love any sort of diving sport you will definitely like it here! Great facilities from dive shop to restrooms and an amazing family that runs it!

The staff is very friendly and organized. Nice outing during Covid, you get assigned your own dock.
