Austin Camera & Imaging reviews
7 I heard about this store from precision camera since I have an old camera. I went in for the first time today and was amazed at all of the products to buy and look at. Very well organized.
My personal experience was not the best. The person that I let go ahead of me was greeted and helped right away, however I was left standing in line at the counter for several minutes with any of the 3 employees asking if I needed help. At one point the first employee walked right in front of me without acknowledging me still or letting me know they’d be right with me. Then another customer walks in, walks right in front of me and then is immediately helped from a different employee. I wanted to make it my new spot for film and accessories but I don’t feel like I’ll be going back or recommending their customer service.
This is a nice film store with friendly staff. They had a great selection of film in stock. Film prices are decent but the cameras were a bit high to me. They did say it was because they are fully tested and have a warranty. I wished I had a store like this where I live.
Great! I live in WV and mailed my film in to be developed, my camera shoots half frames so not a lot of places here will develop it. I had a few email exchanges with them and they were very quick to respond and helpful. After a week I got a Dropbox with scans of my photos and I am very happy. I will definitely be mailing more film to them.
They had photographic paper in stock plus chemistry. Huzzah! B&W photography not dead.
Awesome and so reliable for film development. The only place I'd trust in the greater Austin area with my film!
Detailed, friendly, and patient. Offered me several options of film for an old SLR I inherited.
It warms my heart to find out that the art of hands-on photography still cherished by Austentites. For those who still hard core and hard copy image-making.
