Austin Grind reviews
15Stuffed croissants are fantastic, I've had a couple different things off the menu and never been disappointed. It's the kind of coffee place that feels warm and welcoming and great for meeting friends or working. My fave in Austin!
Not sure what everyone else is getting but I've had the drip coffee twice and it was pretty bad both times. I was really hopeful for this coffee shop after moving to the neighborhood, but if your most basic coffee isn't any good, it's not for me. I will say the service is fine, and the food and atmosphere was good. They'd benefit from a self service milk and sugar area as well.
Goodbye, Starbucks! This place is absolutely amazing. Their stuffed croissants are a must try, they absolutely blow any other breakfast sandwich away. They also have some pretty interesting drinks like the Austin Power and my favorite, a matcha latte.
I am obsessed with this coffee shop tbh.everyone who works there is super nice, drive-thru service is very fast and i love that they have larger sized iced drinks.good coffee, good people, good vibes.
Amazing staff. Great day for pastries and hot coffee after a run on the Walnut Creek trail nearby. Coffee and muffins were the best.
Live across the street so Austin Grind easily became my favorite coffee shop - their cold brew kept me going through the summer!
Great hot coffee options and kind, pleasant staff help you make your day better.
Hubby & I stopped by after dinner for a pick-me-up coffee. We both wanted a cold/frozen drink & we’re delighted to learn this place had just what we were craving. Hubby ordered the blended mocha with an extra shot of espresso & I ordered the blended chunky monkey with an extra shot of espresso. We also ordered a blueberry scone- which they warmed to perfection. We opted to sit outside & enjoy our drinks. This place gets 5 stars & a repeat visit from us when we’re back on this side of town. Thank you Austin Grind!
The store is clean, they have made to order items that look okay, ice cream, and an assortment of Teas and Smoothie’s all of which look fine to good, wouldnt no I haven’t tried them. They have a drive through that seems to flow super well.
I ordered a 16 ounce Americano, not iced, with oat milk. They allocate the milk, and they got the right milk alternative. The drink felt like it was over 200 degrees. Glad I wasn’t driving I may have spilt it at the shock of the temperature. I expect drip coffee to possibly be that hot to hide the burnt cigarette flavor but not an espresso drink. The flavor was nutty as a primary flavor before it cooled down. After it cooled a bit it barely tasted of coffee. It was probably my mistake for ordering the 16 ounce, it was probably the same amount of espresso in each size just more watered down. It was so watery I ordered an espresso shot after to fortify, that also came out incredibly hot, and tasted watered down when I tried it before dumping into the Americano, it barely added any coffee flavor. Honestly not the worst Americano I’ve ever had, but I had to reach for the memory of something worse.
Staff was super friendly, polite, and worked with urgency providing fast service.
I dont live very close, and this cafe is looking for a different demographic than me, I dont think I’ll be returning.
All that being said this is the right coffee shop for someone in the neighborhood.
Coffee is good and service is great!
Big bummer getting their taco deal on Tuesday and it seems like they just use what they top their bagels/sandwiches with and put it in a tortilla.:/
The staff here is SO nice and the coffee is great! I forgot his full name but the cashier with the “in training” badge on 8/27/22 and a name that started with E was a ray.of.sunshine. After telling him that I was visiting from out of town, gave me some Austin recommendations. Wish I was staying here longer so I could come back for another drink.
Eshan (Eshaan) is so helpful and brightens my day! He has great recommendations and always has a smile on his face. Thanks for the excellent customer service Eshan!:)
The staff was wonderful and it's a very clean, chic place with some cute mugs for sale. The pastries look good and fresh. I had the apple fritter and it was delicious with icing on top! It was thick and cakey though, which I tend to like them a bit crispy, but it was good all the same. The coffee tasted burnt and very black and I'm just not macho enough for that
Tastes really good and the staff is nice. But I need to say that I feel uncomfortable going through the drive thru because they keep asking if I want to tip every time. It isn’t customary to give tips in a drive thru, and I don’t think it should be asked. Even if you say no pressure it still is! Quite alright to leave a tipping jar out, but it really is only right to tip when you’re sitting down inside the restaurant/shop and then the staff serves and cleans up after you. That’s the real service you’re tipping for. If we keep this up, cashiers at grocery stores are going to start asking. Everything else is great though!
Good food/snacks and blended coffee choices are awesome. Would give 5 stars if their hours weren't so limited in the afternoon/evenings.
I stumbled upon Austin Grind while getting breakfast. The inside is cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The cashier was nice and very descriptive of the coffee I requested. The coffee was great and the prices are good. I’ll be back for some different flavor coffee.
