Austin Heart - Cedar Park

I am looking for a cardiologist. I saw the reviews and I called this place. The person was so rude, I was very polite and respectful however she sounded stern and angry with no customer service manners at all. I am sure the doctors are awesome but please have a nice polite staff at the customer service line. I asked her name in between and she said OCTAVIA. Sounded Horrible, frustrated, not a suitable person to be around this environment. She needs training for sure. She has to be more patient and compassionate as patients are calling you.

Dr Christopher D McCoy is amazing. I came to him with my mother who has chronic heart disease  and does not speak English. His professional and personal care has been outstanding and I can heartily recommend him to others!

I found the Cardiologyst Austin Heart personnel (doctor, nurse, receptionist) to be excellent listeners and skilled professionals of patient care.

Really really bad experience. After an initial appointment I was sent to get labs and several other tests which I completed.

Over three weeks passed with no contact from the doctor - so I called to enquire about my labs and was told that they had lost them.

I then called 2 weeks later to enquire about the rest of my tests - and they told me that I had missed an appointment (which had never been scheduled with me) to discuss the results. I asked if I could have the results over the phone - and they told me the doctor would call me back. It's been over a week an no one has called.

Its been 5 weeks since I had my first tests and I have never had any other communication from the doctor despite my calling several times. I asked to change to another doctor and the receptionist shouted at me and told me I can't just change doctors and go back and forth.

Healthcare is so so broken and this is a prime example of it. I am a patient who is technology literate and has insurance - and it's impossible to get some simple test results and basic communication from my doctor.

I can't imagine what this experience must be like for those who are really sick and can't advocate for themselves.

My experience was not pleasant. I was directed to order a device to wear which I did. Nothing discussed about costs of course. This device was delayed twice which pushed my follow up appointment out further and further. When I attended my follow up regarding my tests and device, they didn't have the results so I was promised a follow up phone call. The phone call never came, and I received a hefty bill for the device. Honestly felt like I was just a revenue generating appointment and did not feel like they had my best interests at heart (pun intended). Will not go back and will not recommend.

Dr. Crimmons is competitent, capable, empathetic, attentive, instructive, insightful, knowledgeable and professional. His unrushed, relaxed style of communication is welcomed and much appreciated.

Everyone was incredible and very kind. Dr. Zikusoka was so great. She explained everything in a way that I would understand and gave me a very detailed summary of what we spoke about to take home.

Dr. Michelle Z is the best! She listens. She explains. She was very supportive and kind. I wish I could see her for all my medical needs.

This was a follow up appointment from a hospital stay in June. Dr Carlino. No waiting at all.went over my charts and medications.and scheduled future appointment this fall for treadmill test. Quick in and out. Dr Carlino spent some time just visiting with me to see how i was doing and went over any questions I had.

First time here. Dr. Krimmins was very attentive and listened to everything I had to say. While other doctors in the ER just brushed off what I had to say. Definitely a go to office! Thanks!

Dr Zikusoka is a rare gem! She is very thorough and takes times to explain everything, including test results in a way that I could understand. She really listens and cares and works with all of my doctors for my overall health! She is calm, understanding, and I felt like she truly hears my concerns! I highly recommend her!

Referred by my GP & so glad I was. This team wanted to find the root of my BP problems, not just treat the symptoms. They ordered tests and moved forward to help me find answers. I feel like I'm in good hands now and I have confidence in my care. That is invaluable.

Dr. Carlino is attentive and conservative. I feel comfortable having him in charge of monitoring my aging heart. The staff is great too.

I have been seeing Dr Carlino for years! It had taken a while to find the right cardiologist for me since my cardiologist retired and even when we moved from Cedar Park I kept Dr Carlino as my cardiologist, because I don't mind driving an hour knowing that my doctor listens and even suggest things to make my condition a little easier to deal with.

I received my first Covid vaccine (Maderna) on March 23rd and three days later, I broke out with a case of Shingles around my torso. My assumption is that the vaccine triggered my Shingles condition. A couple of years ago, I had declined getting the new version of the Shingles vaccine, since I had chickenpox when I was a child and Shingles in my mid-30s. Why get the vaccine? Bad decision. I went to the ARC Now clinic the day after I broke out and was prescribed Valacyclovir for 7 days X3. After the meds were gone, I started having periodic pains around my heart. They kept getting more frequent, so on April 13th, I went to see PA Rochelle in Dr, Carlino's office. She did an EKG which did not show any problem. I was already scheduled to see Dr Pegany for a periodic visit on April 15th. When I saw Dr Pegany, he prescribed Gabapentin 3X to help heal nerve endings. Since then, I seem to be improving each day. Everyone mentioned herein has been totally professional, compassionate and caring about resolving my medical problems. THANKS!
