Had to book a bit in advance, but I understand why. Working with clay on the wheel is therapeutic and fun! After my visit, they glazed and fired my pieces to be used at home.

I am a collector of Mr. Ed Triece's pottery. His works are very artistic and well made. There are two sales a year in the studio and they also offer classes. Buy local and support local business.

We had Patty for our class. She is great. I feel confident that I could do the pottery myself. She explained in detail.

This was my first time using a pottery wheel and it was a lot of fun. I was intimidated at first, the instructor walks you through it and she is very nice and helpful!

I’ve been a student of Austin pottery for a year and a half and I love it! Patty Creamer is an amazing instructor and the whole AP ownership team is awesome. The studio techs are timely and efficient and careful with our work. The COVID precautions the studio has taken makes me feel safe still attending classes and open studio! Very grateful to be apart of such a great studio.

I really enjoyed the One time Hand Building class with Patty. It was a great introduction to pottery making. The 2 1/2 hours for the class just flew by. The class was properly socially distanced with only a max of 6 students per session. I'm definitely looking into going for more classes.

I've been taking classes there since they opened. I'm a handbuilder, but learned how to use the wheel, about 2 years ago and just loved it! So much fun and such nice folks running the place. Definitely worth looking around the gallery, too!

Their multi-session classes are a little expensive, but nowhere near the pricing elsewhere. I took a fun, introductory hand throwing class for $60. You get several hours and multiple attempts to make a couple of bowls. The instructor used just the perfect amount of assistance with my pottery structure while still letting me be creative. They also have lots of affordable and gorgeous finished products available for purchase in the front end of their facility.

An excellent opportunity for beginners to pottery. Morghan knows just how to help with the wide range of molds available. Definitely recommend the class to anyone wanting to make clay pottery.

The class was super fun and laid back! I was totally surprised that you get to make four pieces of pottery (if you don’t mess one up!) and paint all of them during this class! How cool is that!? Now I just have to wait around a month to get them fired and ready to pick up and can’t wait to see the finished product!

I would highly recommend Austin Pottery Studio. I was a beginner and took my first sessions here and loved it! The teachers are wonderful and the staff make it a welcoming environment for all skill levels. I would definitely go here if you’re looking to try out pottery classes!

Took the one time pottery class (7/12/20) and the class was super smooth despite covid. The instructor was amazing and very helpful and nice. They played great music, gave great examples and tutorials, as well as came around and helped out when i needed more institutions. Very fun and enjoyable class, would take again and definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful selection, reasonably priced, great place to go for gifts! The lady at the desk who assisted me was super polite and helpful.

I have been trying to enroll in a pottery course for the PAST YEAR. Every time I get the newsletter that classes are open I call immediately only to be notified that all the classes are full. I have been on wait list after wait list and been told that previous students get priority for enrollment.

I'm upset because I'm a potential customer that just wanted to pay you so I can take a class, but there have been zero opportunities for me to do so. I understand the importance of maintaining relationships with previous students, but give new people a chance too.

I'm literally writing a review upset that I can't GIVE YOU MONEY.

Please for once send a newsletter informing of open registration and actually have an OPEN class. Rather than everything being full even before the newsletter is out.: (
