Austin Vein Specialists Dr. Gotvald MD Vein Clinics Varicose & Spider Vein Removal

We were patiently waiting for the appointment from February till mid April! The doctor spent just 15 minutes with my wife and said her problem is not just cosmetic and he sent her to Ultrasound, he said he will review the result and propose a treatment today. The ultrasound was booked and they said they will book it on another day and after that the doctor should review the result and propose treatment free of charge because they cannot make it today (for ultra sound we should pay extra money which makes sense). On the next week they called us to remind about the appointment and they said the doctor will not propose treatment for free - they treat it as a follow up appointment after ultrasound. They said they do not remember that they promised that doctor will do any treatment proposal for free. We asked to send our records to another clinic (where by they way, they do ultrasound + propose treatment on the same day - as far as I can see now this is pretty standard). If you like long wait times, 50$ pre-payment policy (non refundable), multiple appointments just to get treatment proposal (for each you pay hundreds of dollars) then this office and Dr. Gotvald is for you. Also the lady on the front desk was pretty rude when we were discussing this situation over phone she said that she was in the room at the day and she doesn't remember this conversation and she almost laughed at me saying - "we do not provide free treatment".

Fabulous results. Dr. Gotvald worked wonders on my legs. He treated both varicose veins and spider veins. The treatments were easy to go through and very little discomfort. The office always ran efficiently and the staff was friendly

Absolutely rude, unprofessional clerks, impossible to sign for consultation, seems like front desk clerks are making decisions about diagnosis and possibly to visit the doctor.

Dr. Gotvald and his staff were wonderful. Always welcomed me with a friendly greeting. They explained everything step by step. I had no scheduling problems. I would highly recommend Dr. Gotvald.

What happened to patient satisfaction? The front office staff is rude and did not offer alternative options. First I had to wait 3 months to get an appointment. Then, I finally got an ultrasound done in December but had to wait WEEKS to get my results, which I still wasn't able to get! I had a change in insurance but didn't realize that I was going to have to pay ANOTHER office visit just to HEAR RESULTS! This office is all about MONEY and not patients! I'm looking for another doctor that will care about my well-being.

Dr. Gotvald and his staff exceeded my expectations when it came to treating varicose veins in my leg. The entire process was thorough and informative. I am beyond satisfied with the results and would highly recommend Dr. Gotvald to anyone else looking to treat their varicose veins.

I am thoroughly convinced that Dr. Gotvold saved my life between 2016-17, starting with “routine”varicose vein treatment, but proceeding to his discovery of extensive blood clots in left leg, immediately, that day, prescribing blood thinner, and then, subsequently from regular checkup ultrasound, finding blood clots in right leg following knee replacement surgery.

In short, Dr. Gotvold knows what he’s doing, and he does not cut corners in getting to the bottom of your problems.

Dr Gotvald and his staff were great every step of the way. They worked well with my insurance, made sure I was comfortable during the procedures, and answered all of my questions.

Dr. Gotvald is very thorough and professional. He suggested to do a spot check before starting treatment to ensure good reaction to the product for future treatments. I was very happy with the results. The only minor problem i had was when i tried to reschedule my appointment due to illness, they still wanted to charge me $85 cancelation fee. It took 3 calls to get the fee waived. I would 100% recommend Dr. Gotvald.
