Such a beautiful venue, and the live entertainment from local artists always slaps (or snaps, if it's open mic poetry night). I met my husband here right before the Covid lockdown, and we just got married last March. We give the credit to WAN and Avant Garden for setting the scene, haha! When things go back to normal we'd love to have an official ceremony at AG to renew our vows. The outdoor setting is so intimate and whimsical even, and the lighting really completes the scene. Definitely visit this spot for a taste of Houston's lively culture.

Nice Spot the only thing I didn't like is that they moved the live music to the inside and the bartender for outside was hard to find.

Once again my crew of dancers and I are here on Thursday night listening with my main man Charlie! Ripping up the bongos! This week there were frozen drinks too! Let's go!

Avant Garden went out of their way to make sure my husbands celebration of mife was perfect. The venue was so pretty and comfortable.

Love the place. Was there Saturday night for wedding. Great environment and cozy place. The Hosts was great! I was one of drivers for the wedding party.

A delightful bar with live jazz housed in a two story house. The second story is encountered through a hidden stairwell.

Unbelievably rude security personnel, I’ve been coming to AVANT for a while and the only problem are the “bouncers” Other than that the place is excellent

My favorite spot in the city! Avant Garden is an awesome bar that has a variety of events throughout the week, great service, and even better prices! Plus the taco shop in the parking lot is SO DELICIOUS. 10/10!

The open mic nights are great fun. The bartender is very friendly and the great audience and nice ambience make for a great evening. When you come with a positive attitude be prepared to have a great time!

Loved this old house and gardens! Staff were very friendly too. Intriguing view from the top level at night, over looking Houston skyscrapers was awesome and romantic.

It was so nice! They have a secret upstairs and have live shows on weekends! The bartenders are all very nice and it's super clean and the vibes are cool.

Such a unique spot. We went for open mic night and loved the crowd and people watching. So many different areas to explore.

It's pretty, the whole place is wonderful. Not sure about the crowd that gathers here they creep me out but they have open mic and it's entertaining. Service is inside or at the bars. They have masks and that taco truck is on point. I love tacos wiTH A cold beer

Venue offers a very unique experience and atmosphere every time. We listened to Mozart last time, tonight we listened to jazz music while enjoying a full bar and some great pizza.

A one of a kind spot. Had one of my baby showers there few years back as well as attended and taught art&craft classes there
