DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Full price for a round which was NOT worth it!
NO mention that most, if not ALL greens were in horrible shape with patches and disease! NO true rolls!
No warning prior to payment and NO offer for discount.

I've been played here several time during the last 4-5 months, I thought this course is kind of nice at the first time. But recently I thought the course is getting worse and worse. The last time I played here was in May 2023 in a week day, and the green was terrible. YES.the green condition made me not to go there never agian. And the waiting happened unexpectedly long even it was not a weekend day. I experienced quite long time waiting at almost every hole. So, no good.

I've been playing this course for 15 years. Most recently as a Player's Club member. The staff is friendly, the fairways are in decent shape, but the greens are unplayable.

After playing Muny last week, I've decided to cancel my Player's Club membership. The greens at Muny were in SIGNIFICANTLY better shape and the price of the round was a fraction of the price.

Worst greens that I’ve ever seen at Avery Ranch in more than 10 years of playing there. Look at the pictures.

For the money they are charging I expected something at least playable. Disappointed is an understatement.

Not sure what happened this spring, but most of the greens are in terrible shape going into summer. Not worth the green fee until it’s fixed.

It’s unacceptable that this place is a $125/person round and the greens look like this. There is not a single sign anywhere for warning of what the greens look like.

It's criminal they're accepting good money to play this garbage Golf Course it's actually a really good layout but the greens are Beyond terrible and the bunkers barely have any sand in them

Customer service was really bad to start off. Our group had tee time early and went to check in and the worker at the club house looked at me saying I wasn’t the person that made the tee time…. But i told him i was part of the group and started giving me a hard time about checking in for no reason. Then the golf course usually start early group at hole 10 but for some reason they started us in hole one facing the rising sun. For next 3 holes we couldn't even see the ball. And the bunkers were basically mud and no sand… for the amount they charge here it’s just highway robbery. Definitely not coming back here.

17 of the greens are trash. When your receipt is printing out for the $100+ you just paid they tell you about 2 temporary greens, but nothing about the other 14 that are trash. Go anywhere else!

The course has a great design and the deer are plentiful. However, the greens were the worst I’ve ever played and were almost unputtable. There were spots with no grass, poorly installed sod and all kind of bumps in the surface. Also, both 16 and 17 had temporary greens so you putt on fairway sod. I wouldn’t go back until they fix the greens.

New ownership seems to only care about a quick money grab during the boom of golf. Not worth the money. Unacceptable greens. Patchy, bumpy, sand patches, absolute joke.

Might be okay if they at least warned you before paying $120 for a morning tee time, or at least a discount. I understand greens can have issues, and courses transition through seasons, but this is just obvious negligence and quick cash. Discount or warn your guests before swiping their cards please. Hope this course can recover, used to be one of the best.

They really let this course go to waste. It used to be very very well kept. I played it the other day and some of the greens were completely brown. Total shame, this used to be my favorite course.

If you are considering this as wedding venue or golf outing, DONT.

Avery Ranch GC: awful experience. 1) attended a wedding at their venue, which they knew. Made literally zero accommodations for our group. Charged us a $30 a head spectator fee for the girls who didn't even play. One wife didn't show up and they wouldn't even TALK about a refund. 2) the greens were TRASH. There were bunkers basically on half the greens. Didn't even mention it and it costed $130 a head to play? 3) we get on the first tee box and are deciding the game (5 minutes before tee time), and from 50 yards away the starter yells "I NEED YOU GUYS TO GO AHEAD AND GET STARTED NOW" - thanks? 4) booked on golf now, one guy didnt show up and they charged us $450? Again we spent thousands on this course?

They book their tee times 7 minutes apart so expect to stand around all day. Expect to be treated like you are inconveniencing them with your patronage all the way from the pro shop to the starter to the bartenders.

Waited 20 min at the driving range and had to leave. Hard to get a spot when it’s social hour, hit 2 balls then take a smoke break for half the people there.

Course is in terrible shape, greens are trashed and tee boxes beat up for $117. Borderline robbery. Do not play here, way better options in the Austin area. Save your money, seriously

Great golf course. Always well maintained. Prices are fair for the quality and beauty of the course. Almost always full on the weekends, so book early.

Terrible customer service. Tried to redeem a Magnolia golf gift card and was told that it had expired and nothing they could do. The buyer of the card was not told of an expiration date and the card did not say it on it. They could tell when it was issued and that it had not been used, but because it was more than a year old, essentially "too bad". Talked to the check in person, the general manager and the regional manager for Magnolia Golf Management (the Teravista/AveryRanch/Falconhead management company). Reached out to the owner of Magnolia. No one cared.

Good course layout with average greens at best. However, pace of play is BRUTAL. Have played 3 rounds there this year and have yet to finish In under 5 hours. Today was a 3+ hour 9 holes before our group had enough and walked off. For $115/ round they should be able to get a couple of rangers out to enforce a reasonable pace of play. Takes a nice course and absolutely ruins the round. Definitely my last round there.
