Babe's Chicken Dinner House reviews
12Great service, wonderful food. It was a nice outing after being in the house all week due to the ice storm!
It has been years since we got to come back to this eatery, and we were excited that it has a location in Waxahachie. They did not disappoint. Everything was great!
The food is always great at the Cedar Hill location. The problem is the rude young people they hire to answer the phone and great customers upon arrival. For the aforementioned reasons, I choose to patronize other less tasty establishments for better service.
Everybody knows that Babe's fried chicken is amazing! Great down home, no frills, "I came to eat" place! Waitresses are sweet when we have dined in, front counter staff leaves something to be desired. The girls up there act like you're bothering them, and they literally are on their phones and barely look up when you speak to them (have gone in for take-out several times). So we prefer to eat in, that way we get the best of both worlds.
The food & service is amazing, but you need to make sure that whomever you put at the cash register can do basic math. Our bill was $47.59 we gave her $50.59, & she couldn't count the change she asked us how much change we gave her & I told her 50.59, she gave us back $2.90 because she said that's what the register told her. On the receipt she inputted $50.49. I'm at a loss for words
This was the first time our family had gone to this location. The waitress was horrible. As far as we could tell she only waiting on our table when they sat us down. She let our drinks run out never asking to refill unless someone got her attention and the same with the sides. And we were a group of 6. Not at all what type of service for a check of almost $200. We were shocked to see that there wasn’t a waiting line at 5.30 on a Saturday afternoon but it guess the word has gotten out. We won’t be back.
If you want fried southern food with all the fixins this is the place!
A little loud inside so bring headphones if youre bothered by noise.
Mostly I get to go orders but when I do dine in, the service is great. The fried chicken meal is a good value and plenty of food for one person.
Food was top tier.
Customer service was top tier.
We came as a family of 49 and service was impeccable. Definitely will be back when we visit again
I first got to taste their chicken through my job. And when I say I fell in love, that’s exactly what I mean. Greatly seasoned and well proportioned. Will make that drive for this anytime!
The food quality has declined. The chicken is delivered to the table in a pool of grease. GROSS
The veggies and biscuits were good. Would we come back, probably not.
First time at this place. All I can say is, go there! Absolutely delicious! Great and attentive service, hot fresh food, and you can eat country vegetables at a reasonable price! Try the banana pudding!
