Babe's Old Fashioned Food, San Antonio TX

Haven't been in a while so I decided to stop for dinner. The club sandwich was good and quite a big sandwich at that. Got it to go so it wasn't as fresh as it could have been had I ate there, but still good.

No wait to order and 7min to eat! No charge for ranch and free refills! Delicious and the freshest you can possibly get!

Would give 0 stars if I could. I have been going to babes since I was a child and I have always loved it! But recently babes has been going downhill and fast. The sauce is the star of the show let’s be honest, The chicken is mid but it’s the sauce that makes it great! They all of a sudden started changing for sauce, it hurt my heart but I delt with it. All of a sudden they started getting stingy with the sauces. Every time I go to babes I always ask for extra sauce 2 to be exact. They ALWAYS change me for it and NEVER give it and this isn’t the first time this is happening all the time now! The quality of the food has gone down so much I ate there last night and got so sick in the morning. Will not be retuning again.

I've been to the locations on Bandera, Huebner, and now Potranco, each time good service, atmosphere, and good homestyle burgers, with a variety of appetizers and sides

Food is always fresh, fast and hot! Even though they were busy and no seating was immediately available staff stayed extremely pleasant.

This manager here is not a fan of the military men and women and is against service dogs period. The cashier is hard of hearing and decides what you should eat on her own without asking. Customers are not right ever at this place. I have not ever been treated this way at any other Babes Old Fashion. This is very disappointing oh and due to the cashier making her mistakes I did not get to eat a gluten free burger nor did they apologize or even offer a discount or compensation. I asked door a salad on the side and cashiers automatically gave just a salad

Way too slow. I waited almost 30 minutes for salad and nachos while several people who xame in after me left before me. I realize they were busy but that was not worth the wait. Unacceptable

Burgers had no flavor other than the burnt edges from the grill, fries were cold, when I went back to let the cook they forgot cheese on one of my burgers the was a face made. This is the first and last time I will go to this place

Ordered dine in, the burgers bun was soggy mush. Expected for delivery, but not dine in. Disappointing, used to like this place, won't go again though.

Bought two burgers and they were cooked absolutely wonderful, awesome tasting burgers and excellent fries, the only thing was the fountain drink was off.

Let me just say worst service ever the cashier made our experience horrible she was rude ignored every thank you or question we had and I’m not even the type of person who needs you to help me a lot I go out my way for anyone assisting me especially food service but we were definitely an inconvenience to her since no one els was in the restaurant
The food was good except for the buns I like them toasted but half were burned and you could taste it

The other night I went to place a to go order. The hamburgers are really good and I ordered onion rings they weren't cooked the way they should've been. My mom got a little bit sick from the onion rings but she liked the hamburger. The onion rings not being cooked made me disappointed another thing that made me disappointed was they weren't wearing gloves and I didn't see a sink nearby for employees to wash their hands. Other than that it's a good place to eat.

The burger was really good, the fries were fresh and well seasoned, and the chocolate milkshake I had wasn't the best I've ever had but it was pretty good. I would definitely recommend for a nice lunch.

Babes old fashioned burgers haven't been there in a while recently moved to a different set of town there's one just down the street had lunch was very very good little pricey but still really good burger and the onion rings are made from scratch which also was a big plus train besides being a good sandwich I noticed that the person cooking the kitchen is doing everything which to me may be an issue you're touching hamburgers and then you're touching lettuce and tomato and cheese and everything else I'm just going to leave it at that

We came here for the first time on August 28th and we were really pleased. The flavor, juicy, wonderful hamburgers were awesome. I was very happy to see how much bacon was on my hamburger. Not the usual 2 slices like other places. This place is way out of our way, but it is worth the drive and we will definitely come back. The friendly service was great too.

The name really says it all. Classic "American" fair including burgers, chicken sandwiches and strips, nachos, and a wide variety of fried appetizers. I enjoy the spicy chicken strips and would heartily recommend the fried jalapeno rings.

You can also find a decent selection of bottled beers to enjoy, if that's your thing.

The food was good but did not like the service I got fried mushrooms and fried pickles what did not give me my gravy they said they ran out of gravy they had to make more and when they made more they did not even give me any

First visit to this place, we will be returning many times. We had the daily special, "old-fashioned burger". It was extremely tasty, large, had meat in every bite and not messy like some places make them. The fries were fresh as were the onion rings. Service was very friendly. I would recommend this location to all of my family and friends.
