Bandera General Store

Really fun place for lots of different little finds (tshirts, gift items, hats, jewelry, etc.), and ice cream counter is a delicious added benefit to have inside. Great folks, great store! We spent a good hour in here just wandering around looking at things before making our way to cash out - then of course some ice cream to top it off.

Besides ice cream and cowboy boots, this is a fun store to visit if you can handle tongue-in-cheek, not politically correct, patriotic & proud to be Texan stuff (signs, magnets, etc). There's a sit-down area inside and friendly staff who welcome you when you walk inside.

Wonderful place and amazing atmosphere. The girl who was there on Sunday May 28th 2023 was such a sweetheart. We were visiting from out of town so we had like a million questions about their sodas etc and she took such a lot of effort to answer them all and was so kind to us. Would highly recommend this place.

Our Family Day mid day finding this place is a throw back from 60s forsure all they need is a jukebox them old 45s.ice cream candy snacks chips salsa treasures and more staff is friendly telling us Ghost stories about the store I believe in ghost

Staffs always sweet from the second you open the door! Such a neat place with lots of goodies to take in! Love popping in there especially when I need to restock on soap or lotion, or puppy soap from hill country homemades! Plus they have ice cream!

A wonderful experience today at Bandera General Store during cowboy gun fight show and a perfect time to shop for souvenirs all with photo opportunities to capture Kodak moments.

Worst experience with a store clerk ever! Our group of six were looking to buy T-shirts and ice cream in your store. Granted, we saw the “do not unfold shirts” sign. However, we needed to unfold them to see if they would fit, but we were refolding them and putting them back as we found them. Shortly after, the clerk behind the counter behind us pounded on the counter. We never thought much of that, but shortly there after she loudly said to us “are you f…ing kidding me? !? ” We could not believe our ears! We immediately told her that we would take our business elsewhere, as she was telling us to get out. We still cannot get over how badly we were treated. We will never step foot in your store again because of her!

Varied selection of new and used western wear. The soda fountain is worth the visit. Blue Bell ice cream, malts and sodas. How can you go wrong?

No matter what Time of the Day or Day of the Week they have great Service. Love getting Ice Cream Shakrs n Sundaes there

This is the friendliest place on earth. Thank you for your hospitality to two out-of-towners on Christmas day.

We Love this place. We were in town to go horseback riding in Christmas day and they were open and so welcoming. A group of people were playing guitar and singing. Therec was also flood set out for anyone to enjoy. We learned that this is an annual tradition on Christmas that gives those that may not have family or a place to go somewhere to gather and celebrate the season. What a wonderful experience!

Little bit of everything, but they need more postcards. Nice staff. Maybe you’ll see some cowboys when you mosey on in.

We recently visited The Bandera General Store and had a great time browsing through all the gifts and had amazing ice cream! I only wish we would have bought more!

Were given ficticious directions to non-existent "public rest rooms. " Her attitude changed completely once we asked about restrooms. Keep your money!

Amazing place! Could spend couple thousand in that place. Super friendly staff! Great place to find just about anything.

They have reasonably priced souvenirs and live music on the weekends. They also sell Blue Bell ice cream.
