Banger's Sausage House & Beer Garden reviews
14 2 years living in Austin, coming from PA we were used to good sausage with that homemade flair. We tried numerous recommendations throughout Austin feeling frustrated, no place had what we craved until Banger's.
We were meet with friendly, helpful staff who took the time to give recommendations.
The Bavarian Pretzel, although not like a soft pretzel I was used to had a lot to offer. It was hot, fresh, and just the right amount of salt with a crispy crust and soft chewy center, the cheese sauce was rich and creamy but what made the pretzel was the killer homemade beer mustard, they seriously need to bottle this stuff. We shared the wild boar, pork sausage platter, the sausage was out of this world, the casing was edible and it was perfectly cooked with all the right flavors. The sides were perfectly paired as well, the Cole slaw was unique but perfect in cutting the richness of the sausage. The corn on the cob was rather unique as well and tasty. We also never get dessert, however the snickers bar in a jar is something you should not pass up.
Everything here is fresh, homemade, and clearly done with love and care. We were told even though they are known for the sausages they have added on a smokehouse with ribs and chicken.
The smells there are incredible.
We had a taste of home.
Although the picnic table setting may not be everyone's cup of tea, we found it to be homey and welcoming.
It is a place we will be visiting over and over again.
Great environment! Lots of beer choices. Great service. My duck fig sausage was overdone. The waitress brought me a new one AND took it off my bill. That is going over and above.
A fun place, but their whole ordering food process is needlessly complicated. Good beer selections, many choices
Been coming here for 10+ years - never a bad time. Sunday gospel brunch is a must. Staff are so friendly. Great gluten free options too!
We visited Bangers for a drink after I’d seen it on social media recommendations. We had no idea what beer to try and the bar tender was so helpful in letting us try a few based on what we liked and her recommendation was spot on. We sat outside and it was a lovely atmosphere with country music playing. We didn’t stay to eat unfortunately.
I got the Drunkin Chicken. Surprise! It is also a sausage haha it tasted great. This place handled a party of 14 of us and all the food came out correct, fast, and delicious. I was impressed!
Banger's is banging. Must visit location and once you do, you'll realize you need to come back to have more.
Wish I could have had brunch.
The service and friendliness of the staff was only outdone by their truly great selection of beer. Unfortunately, we had eaten before, so only enjoyed their immense selection from all over the country in which they very obviously researched well. If you are in Austin, go there. And hint, there are even more beers they are aging, just ask. We had 2.
This was a fun place to eat! There's live music, the food ordering process and payment was easy, and the menu options were great! The food came pretty quickly and it was absolutely delicious!
We went a few times during our short stay in Austin during their Oktoberfest, and it was a blast.
Great beer, great food, and a wonderful atmosphere.
We went for the Oktoberfest and left impressed. Good food and beer, good service, good entertainment. They were really good about my food allergy and sent the chef out to help me pick something I actually wanted to eat and give me as many choices as possible. Food was all delicious and we liked the beer selection.
Great food and fun. Sausage was great. My order for red wine did not go through somehow and no one checked on the table until the food was gone so I had water the evening we went.
Great cheese curds as well.
Best Octoberfest in the Austin area, tons of seating, staff is kind and the bands are amazing! Highly recommend checking it out! Tons of beer and food options.
Absolutely loved this place. As the kids say these days, its BUSSIN'! (Do they still say that? I don't know, I can't keep up, but I'm going with it) Like 10 pounds of bussin in a 5 pound bag!
Had the Jalapeño cheddar bratwurst. The flavor of the brat, the mustard, the peppers and the bread all came through perfectly balanced. No one flavor overpowering the other. The fries were crispy and well seasoned.
Really liked how they did the ordering and the bill paying via the QR code at the table. The app was really intuitive and made splitting the bill super easy.
Lastly, really enjoyed the whole vibe of the place. It was kind of Oktoberfest meets Texas backyard bbq. Live music at brunch was a treat. Wasn't overly loud so I could still have a conversation without yelling.
10/10 would recommend!
