Banh Mi Dalat reviews
16Amazing store with very nice folks making the best bahn mi in DFW. The pork pastries are so good.
What an amazing spot for some delicious food! From their Banh-Mi selection, tasty combination pho, tasty puff pastries (savory and sweet!). I recommend the brisket Banh-Mi!
I've eaten here more than a few times. The brisket is excellent with the pho. My go to spot use to be in Richardson. The menu here is small. Banh mi sandwiches and beef pho but the food here is always on point.
Best pho in Dallas. Hands down.tastes exactly like how my father used to make it. He passed years ago and I never thought I'd get to find a pho that tasted like his. Their Vietnamese coffee is strong and delicious. Their banh mi is best in the morning, as the bread gets more stale late on (they bake them fresh with no preservatives). Their Pate So pork pastries tastes like childhood to me and I will always recommend this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant to anyone. It's a small place, so seating is limited! Get it to-go or come early for seating.
Highly recommend the pork sandwich, pork pastry, and vietnamese coffee. All very good and well priced.
Good food and friendly service. We tried sandwiches and pho and got a Thai tea. All were quickly served and was delicious.
My wife took me to this lovely place for lunch. Aside from the pleasant ambiance, the food was terrific. I've never had such an outstanding Banh Mi. You can tell the owner makes the bread in-house, which he was kind enough to confirm before we left. I can't wait to return!
Small and clean Vietnamese sandwich shop run by very friendly staff. We stopped in on a quiet Monday afternoon to order banh mi's. The combination sandwich uses cha lua (pork roll) and lean thit ngui (cold cuts). Many Vietnamese shops use giò thu (headcheese) which I do not care for. Glad to see something different here. The pate was delicious. The mayonnaise is slightly sweet. The bread was fresh and light. Pickled daikons and carrots were perfect. I appreciated that the iced coffee was not overly sweet and had a good ice to coffee ratio. We will definitely be back.
The star of the show here are their pork puff pastries. Absolutely delicious for breakfast or any time!
Absolutely the best banh mi in the area. Somehow every time is better than the last. So tasty! I love the combo.
The brisket pho was so DELICIOUS! I had pho only once before at a different cafe and it was so bad that I never wanted to try it ever again. But because this cafe has great banh mi sandwiches, I decided to give their pho a try. It was so yummy and savory with thin slices of great brisket (no "mystery meat"), fresh rice noodles, vegetables, herbs and spices. I could add extra spicy sauces to my liking which enhanced the pho even more. A flavor explosion in my mouth. Perfect for a cool afternoon lunch. Definitely going back for more.
I went here three times in 2018 and ordered the pork bahn mi each time. I’d get home and eat it then about 20 minutes later I would feel extremely tired and felt like I needed a nap! Never have I had food affect me in this way. My friend also felt the same way from their sandwich. Was it the MSG? It was so concerning. I haven’t been back since.
Such a lovely atmosphere (I love the classical music) and very tasty. This is one of those hidden gems I found while servicing shops in the local area while at work! As a result I love working in this area now just as an excuse to stop by this little restaurant and pick up something quick/delicious to go.
Hands down the best pho you can get in DFW.the broth is amazing and the meatballs are home made.
Bahn mi is so good. I love this place.
Been looking for a great Banh Mi since moving to the area and finally found it here. Had their combination sandwich as well as their pork sandwich and was blown away by both.
We will definitely be working our way through their menu. Absolutely delicious and service was excellent and welcoming.
Been stretching out to gain more comparisons of my favorite Vietnamese Pho and Banh Mi. This place has a high rating and so I went ahead to try it out. First off, very, very, basic menu. Very simple and that's a good thing because this is not over complicated food. I order a Grilled Pork Banh Mi and a bowl of Beef Brisket Pho. Service was great. The owner had the kitchen work on my Pho while he made my sandwich upfront. The bread was freshly toasted just enough to crisp up the crust and warm the tender interior. This place is small and nicely decorated. Very clean and comfortable. Glad to see there were customers coming in to order Banh Mi sandwiches to go. Order 5, get the 6th one free. And apparently the brisket and Vietnamese ham are the go to choices. I went with the grilled pork which is my favorite and a bowl of Beef Pho with brisket. My sandwich came first and it was toasty warm and so very well made. Generous meat and fresh vegetables with some butter. WOW! Warm bread with the grilled meat and butter! WOW! IT WAS GREAT! And a very pleasant lady came from the kitchen with a tray with my Beef Pho. Very courteous. The Pho came in a black bowl that was very solid and the broth had all the right aromas streaming around. Piping hot and flavorful. A basic simple bowl of Pho that I really enjoyed. That bowl stayed hot to the very end which made it wonderful. I love how Banh Mi Dalat is keeping it simple and comforting. The next time I stop in, I'm exploring their brisket and Vietnamese ham via Banh Mi sandwiches. There's something about seeing people buying several sandwiches that says something good is going on here. Could it be the butter?
