Bank of America (Lobby Service Only) reviews
12Leah is very helpful & kind. Most of the reviews on this location have to do with BOA corporate. Not the employees who work here
If I could give a zero review I would. I have never in my life been told by a bank that they do not accept CASH DEPOSITS. My son lives in Florida so wanted him to get a bank that is here inTexas and Florida when I went to the San Marcos branch the greeter asked what I needed, told her I need to deposit in my son's account. Was told no cash deposit accepted because the feds can't track it and its considered MONEY LAUNDERING, really. Needless to say I am having my son close his bank account with them
I had to renew my debit card since I was leaving the country for a extended period, Maria at the lobby desk was super helpful and polite, and renewed and expedited my card via
Thanks for all your help. UPS UPS
I’ve lived in San Marcos for years now and this is consistently the worst BOA location I have ever been to across the entire country. Every visit is a nightmare.
Lady working the front register clearly didn’t wanna work. Insisting I use the ATM when I needed help.
After seeing so many negative reviews, I wanted to share a very positive experience. I had two transactions to take care of and was in and out in 15 minutes. (I got there just before noon on a Friday.) There were three employees: the teller (Mary), a gentleman who signed me in (Clemente), and a woman I did not meet who was handling specific banking needs of clients. Mary was very friendly and was taking care of customers quickly. Clemente was very personable, a pleasure to speak with, and, instead of having me wait for the woman who would have normally assisted me with accessing my safe deposit box (she was meeting with another customer), helped me himself. It looked like she knew she might be a while so came out to discuss with Clemente. So, even though I didn't meet her as well, I do believe she was being attentive to my needs and considerate of my time. It looks like so many of the reviewers have had 1-star experiences but it isn't always that way, so I send my thanks and appreciation to all three employees!
No drive through, 1 teller on a Friday. Been here 45 mins. Like wow. You can go to any other bank of America and it's not like this. Talk about letting your customers down. Taking time out of our work day to stand and watch 1 teller. Totally ridiculous.
This Bank is almost always understaffed which in turn makes long wait times. Which that usually brings the teller frustration and we as Customers get treated with less than friendly faces. I would change banks BUT this is the bank our Company chose so Im stuck. Definitely fixable with better leadership.
My husband passed 2021 and I have provided a death certificate months ago, gone to bank in person, spoken on the phone numerous times. In 2023, Still receiving BOA statements in my husband’s name to his email. This must Stop immediately.
I've had two incredibly negative experiences with the Merrill Lynch reps at this location. Based on my opinion, their neglect comes very close to incompetence at best. I have moved all my retirement accounts to a different broker.
We have been a Bank of America customer for about 40 years. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a teller. I was cashing a check, she was rude and unapologetic. In all the years of banking she asked if I write checks with this account. I used the debit card with my pin to identify the account. Never asked for my Texas drivers license for additional verification. Her actions indicated she thought I trying to commit a fraudulent act. Will call Corporate Office. I have only had good experiences with B of A until today. Will not go back to this location she had horrible customer service
If I could rate this place zero stars I would. WORST customer service of anywhere. Told me to roll a handful of change for a deposit because it was too much even though they put it in a machine that does it for them but go off I guess. Drive-thru is closed so they can park their cars in the lanes. Got the message loud and clear, they do not want your business. If you live in San Marcos it is easier to bank with anyone else.
