Baptist Neighborhood Hospital - Kelly, San Antonio TX

Well I really can't give a bad review for the night shift but the day shift is atrocious idk who my nurse is but she is very rude tried to give me a medication that is on my allergy list and the doctor doesn't want to come in and talk to me I am waiting on transfer to another hospital but I have to sit in pain with no pain medication until I probably get to the other hospital and to top it off the doctor walked by and said he can do what he wants because he's got more people to deal with i don't even know what his name is I would avoid this place like the plague if u can go to the real hospital

The staff that works here are very rude
The staff makes u feel very uncomfortable go where else.

I had a horrible experience, I was seen rather quickly since there was no one at this hospital. I had an abscess on my left upper eye lid and was in so much pain. I woke up with my eye almost closed and it was Christmas day. When I was placed in a room. A man comes in wear scrubs, no badge or Id. Did not introduced himself.went straight for my eye and said lets see what we got.then said I will try and drain it. Took a needle and started to press my abscess and it was severly painful. He then stopped and said I will give you anibotics and ibrophuen and you can go back to work after tomorrow. As I was checking out I asked if I could get a 2nd dose of antibotics because the HEB was close on christmas and they said no, you should be fine to fill the next day. They charged me a hospital fee and with my insurance it was 300.the next morning I woke up with the whole left side of my face swollen and in more pain the before. I call the hosptal back and they said they could not do anything else for me to go to a bigger hospital. I was like you are a hospital and they said they only had certain equiptment there and If i went back i would be charged 300 again so i went to Baptist downtown and they help get the infection stabilized but had to test my blood because the man had punctured the abscess and the Nurse at the actual real hospital said that could have spread the infection and cause the half of my face to swell up. Thank God no infection in my blood because that would have been Malpratice.but they did say if the antibotics did not work I would need to go to University Hospital because it was so closed to my eye to get it cut open. My complaint is the man was rude and the overall experience was very unpleasant and customer service was cold and not helpful at all. I was mislead and deceived in thinking this was a hospital but sounds like an urgent care or clinic.and charged a hospital copayment versus a urgent care fee of $ 50 instead of $300.next time I know just go to university because they have all specialist doctors there.

Charged me $19,000 for a wrong diagnosis of Vertigo, gave me medication that was unwarranted. 20 minutes. I Went to opthamologist the next day and the real diagnosis was 6 nerve palsy.

This hospital is so dirty.trash all over the floor in the waiting area. No toliet paper in the restroom.

Our Nurse Bryce T.has been phenomenal. He works well under pressure and was very compassionate throughout our stay. He cared for my son with ease. We really appreciate him for being with us on Xmas.

I was at the ER this morning scared, tired and in pain. As I walked, I was greeted with a smile, and was heard with my concern. After stating my problem, I was immediately (within minutes) taken back, got my vitals checked. Dr. E. Crandall walks in with a smile and asks what’s going on, and immediately takes care of me. I get sent home with my prescription, a big emotional relief and grateful for their service. The hospital was empty when I arrived, and that is likely why I was taken care of so quickly. However, they still could have relaxed with their time, be rude or plain insensitive to my needs. But no, the contrary, they were all welcoming, quick and effective. I should also mention, the place was super clean (as it should) but it maybe worth mentioning it. 5 stars from me:)

Very poor service unprofessional service I went in barely can walk and they told me “well how did I get in the car” I responded “i was helped to get in the car” and they didn’t say anything back barley wanted to help me out of vehicle to get me inside they take very long they don’t sanitize their lobby frequently as they should be doing it

If you come here you wast your time because I bring my baby I wait 3 hours just for the nurse to bring the paper work

The worst ppl working there. They need ppl that actually care for us I'm waiting over an hour jut to get seen n lady at front desk very disrespectful again y'all need to hire ppl that care

Very rude doctor (racist)! Christopher quitadamo! Please have someone else on the ER he should be listening to patience not just getting them discharge without a Result he didn’t even took 2 minutes! I would like to make a report!

Don’t know the ladies name in the front desk but she has glasses and is very very rude and was catching an attitude with me for no reason. Very short in conversation and acting as if I was dumb she kept making facial expressions when I was talking … she didn’t bother to get my name or tell me she was gonna take care of it she just called for someone and had me standing. FYI they need people to work in the front who actually like doing their job.

Sprained ankle. They said our insurance is not accepted so they offered us 24hrs to pay $250. That actually sounded kind of like a used car sales technique to me. I went home contacted my insurance and they squared it away. Now. Turns out these people are getting paid over $7,500 for a sprained ankle. And now they want me to pay over $1500 for my portion. Huh? What kind of system is this? I should have taken the first offer. As a veteran, retired public servant, tax payer and contributor to society since the 1980s, I think I'm going to jump on the welfare wagon. Shame on all medical providers that fleece the system.

I had a small incident cut myself onu left hand with a knife! Idk need bandage or stitches dam. I lost my appetite. Thanks baptist Hospital is nice place and attend you.

Never take a long time here unless necessary, brought my daughter in for stomach pain. Everyone is always so nice. I always recommend this place!

We dealt with a nurse that was super rude didn't let me respond to questions she asked.cut me off mid sentence when I did respond when we asked for another nurse she stated this is urgent care u don't get another one I had to walk out to the hallway to find another super nice polite nurse to help just get my son's history and vitals.probably the worse experience with a nurse I've ever had as a parent being seen in a urgent care facility.
