It is way off the beaten path and extremely quiet. Spent a couple of hours there and didn’t see another soul. If you are in old west history buff, you’ll love it. If you love the outdoors and great views, you’ll love it even more.

Just as a warning, it's a long drive out and not a lot there. A pair of stone slabs commemorating the first and second battles and a grave marker for a soldier. It's more of a nature drive than a ghost town or anything like that. But it's a pretty drive and a great landscape.

I went there in the 1980s. Took Billy Dixon's book along for reference. Pretty amazing place for Texas history.

There is nothing there but history. If you want to see a ghost town don't go. But if you like history go, this was where the opening shots of the 1874 - 1875 happened and that changed history.

Out of the way down a dirt Road, with only a small marker. If you don't know why you are there then DON'T GO.

Site of the 2nd battle of Adobe Walls. It's pretty secluded and the are no services anywhere for at least 10 miles. But the site is well marked and contains a few gravesites as well as granite memorials providing some info to visitors. This is an historic site so I would presume that camping is prohibited, although the are no signs indicating such.

Cool for the History bad for getting covered in ticks! Don't think it's going to be anything like where Gus spent the night after saving Lorena from Blue Duck on Lonesome Dove. Its a couple of Graves and a memorial. Still cool history in the panhandle.
