The food had absolutely no type of flavor and it was so overpriced, and the only thing I enjoyed was the boudin but ONE LINK was $10, it tasted like regular Boudin you can get from Walmart, it was $5 quality at best. I’m just going to assume the cook had a bad day when I went, but at least the staff was nice and the drinks were good, and the bread was good:)

Get two stars because Herbert's cajun meats it next door and nice looking restaurant. Maybe a good happy hour spot, but not for food.

Went Tuesday evening. Not busy. My boyfriend and I ordered bloody Mary's which took forever to be made. When I tasted it, it tasted watered down. Put pepper in it to give it some flavor. Ordered one more to see if the second would be better. Nope! Watery. Even paid extra for titos. Came home and blew in my breathalyzer and blew a. 00! How is that possible 15 minutes after having a drink? ! Because there wasn't any vodka in the drink. Smh. Waste of money. Will not be returning.

Our waitress was very very nice but the food lacks flavor, the catfish pieces were not seasoned, the etoufee was slightly burned and tasted burned, the pasta in the liberty pasta was not cooked long enough, one of my friends got fried alligator and it was not good, another had gumbo and it was the same. The only good thing we had that was tasty was the boudin balls. I would not recommend going here to anyone looking for a good seafood place. As close as we are to the gulf quality seafood should be easier to come by. Very very dissatisfied

Came here for a my birthday dinner 8.18.21 & I was impressed all around. Great service, great restaurant & great food. I ordered the Shrimp & Scallops Au Gratin & it was plentiful & delicious. Also enjoyed the fried gator & fried calamari for our appetizers & a Strawberry Cheesecake for dessert. I ordered a Mango House margarita & I'm happy that for once it's on the rocks & not frozen. Our server mentioned that the margaritas only come on the rocks, which was perfect for me. Food & drinks were delivered fast too. (It was also 8pm on a Wednesday & not busy). Wednesday they have Happy hour drinks & appetizers from 2pm-close, which was a huge plus. Very affordable place to eat, considering I had scallops in my meal ($25⁹⁹) & definitely will return soon, since it's in my neighborhood & close to my job. No complaints!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing, and the service was exceptional. Our server, Natalie, was the kindest server I’ve ever had.

Wow wow wow! Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. I am on a weight loss plan so I had Snapper Remington. A beautiful pan sauteed filet topped with delicate but large shrimp and chunks of crab served over a bed of white rice and veggies. No heavy cream Sauce, it was perfect for me. My husband had a blackened chicken sandwich and fries. The portion was so large he was able to bring half of it home for lunch. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is so nice. We will definitely be back when we are on that side of town.

Wow! The food at Bayou City is fantastic. The outside appearance of the restaurant is very welcoming. It’s well maintained and we were seated right away. The rules of the restaurant is first come first serve they do not have any reservations list.
Happy hour is until 6 PM Great selection of beer and also they have wonderful lunch specials.
The food is really tasty. As an appetizer I ordered the fried calamari and it came with two sauces that were delicious. The quantity of the amounts of food were well portioned for everything. The crab bisque was wonderful. We also asked for garlic bread on the side which was complementary as long as you asked for it. The main dish pasta liberty was wonderful as well and easily can be split between two people. Loved the experience and will be coming back soon! PS: restrooms were clean!

We went on a Friday night, Labor Day weekend and their was no wait. Hearty helping for one person. Honestly 2 people can share one plate. Seasoning was very good. Prices are a bit high, but for the amount of food you get it's worth.

Good bar/restaurant. Haven't had the food yet, but the drinks are great. Go see Michelle, she's friendly, professional, and awesome!

Y'all are phenomenal. I got the alligator Po Boy which was fantastic and the seafood gumbo. Excellent and fast service, friendly staff and I will be back when I bring my family to visit from Utah.

Pricey and underwhelming taste food. We ordered calamari, shrimp and crab fettuccine and seafood tower. Everything tasted below average for the price. The pasta plate was $26, I was surprised. Service was not that great, first waiter acted like he hated his job. Overall, would not come back nor recommend.

This is my first time to Houston and I’ve never been to this place before. I literally enjoyed every single thing about this place. The food was spectacular and my server Amanda and her manager Locke assisted us with what to recommend to eat. Will most definitely be back next time I visit.

I sat at the bar and was immediately welcomed. The atmosphere was inviting, relaxed, and pleasant. They had R&B music softly playing in the background. They were playing some 90s classics! Lol.
I started off with the seafood gumbo. It has shrimp and crab in it. That was a great way to start my meal.
My entree was the Pasta Liberty.
On the menu, you'll see a plethora of pastas. I asked the bartender for his recommendation.
He has good taste lol. The food was delicious, well seasoned and solid as far as portions go.
When I comeback to visit Houston, I'll stop by here again. It's worth it!

This has been my favorite place to go to for crawfish and other pasta dishes for years. Everybody here is great and I have a good time whenever I go. Also, the remodel looks amazing and the new location doesn't disappoint.

I'm from Louisiana, and this was a great experience. My favorite were the boudin balls, I had that as an appetizer, and I had fried catfish with crawfish etouffee and a baked potato as the entree, and it was wonderful with a top shelf Long Island to top it off. I will be returning.

Great service, thanks to Carlos. The Brigantine Special was a great choice. The shrimp, crab, scallops and crawfish and tomatoes were perfection. Next time I'm in Houston I would love to revisit.
