Baytown Seafood Restaurant reviews
18If you think bigger is automatically better, you'll think the burgers are 10/10. Came with salad lettuce with carrots, meat cooked to a medium gray, bun so soggy it's like toilet paper in a bowl, menu says bacon is $1 for two pieces but was charged $2. The service was on point and the dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen looked great. We will be back, just not for those burgers.
The catfish is good but lacks seasonings that would make it 20 times better and they use a lot of corn meal, be prepared to have a lot of crumbs.
Had to wait unreasonably long to order and it seemed like they forgot about me waiting for my order
This restaurant has gone completely downhill. Ordered a shrimp Po Boy and the shrimp had all the tails on I almost choked when biting it, we told the waitress and she said “That’s just how they make them here idk”. Ridiculous. We also ordered the shrimp fried rice that I used to love from here and instantly noticed it looked different as before, they also don’t devein the shrimp at all anymore, gross. Everything has gone up in price. The place looks dirty and I also noticed their fish tank is turning black.will not be returning again!
This is my brothers favorite spot and I can confirm, everytime I eat here the food is delicious. The food is great and prices are fair. Highly recommend
Asked the waitress for 9 shrimp and one catfish brings me the wrong order not a good place
Out of all the Baytown Seafood's w/in a 20 mile radius of this one. This one is the BEST! Food comes out in a timely manner and always hot and full of flavor!
Decided to dine in for lunch, ordered the Grilled Salmon with 6 shrimps and asked for Salmon to be prepares medium.
Received very dry salmon and shrimp, I asked for replacement, and was told that's the way we make it, he snatched my menu and said he'd refund me.
Too many awesome reasturants in LaPorte and Houston; I'll wont return.
Many types of Good seafood & plates. Salads not so great.older restaurant, but the food keeps me coming back!
Ordered bacon cheeseburger with fries, which are usually a pretty good but today looks like they were trying to save money all the way around! The patty was small and missing a piece the 2 slices of bacon that usually come with it were drastically reduced to 2 pieces that wouldn't even add up to one piece! Sad to say but I think I'm done with this place!
Food quality has disappeared.complained to new owner and she placed blame on the food supplier she does business with?
We won't be customers any longer.
The meal is great and the ambience is quite soothing. The restaurant, on the other hand, featured large portions that could be shared.
It is a place where I like to eat the breaded steak accompanied with French fries and a Coca-Cola drink. It is delicious and the waitresses are very friendly.
Food is great!
The building has some serious issues. The floors are uneven in the entryway under the carpet. The tile is uneven and loose in the ladies restroom. One toilet has a sign "Do NOT put any paper in the toilet. " Then water started coming through the wall from the men's room while I was sitting on the other toilet!
First the salad was purchased straight from the grocery store and unloaded into a bowl for all to eat. The shrimp was not deveined and overcooked minimal flavor. Scallops were overcooked and tough. Redsnapper was not seasoned, very fishy, and served with scales still on them. Pasta was served with an excessive amount of sauce and noodles were 1/4th original length. Fried catfish had no flavor and fries tasted stale. The building even endured lots of water damaged and was run down. 0/10 would not recommend.
We drove all the way from Houston and saw this place! Such a shame to be near the sea (Beach literally 2 miles down road) and suck at all seafood and even hamburgers on the menu! I’m still picking the shells from the jumbo grilled shrimp from my teeth and I am all the way back in Houston gross and wow how horrible I really want all my money back! HORRIBLE
The food is excellent except scallop breading was raw. One grape tomato on the salad.really? The shrimp and oysters were great. Location scary, building rundown. Good prices, nice people, and close to the hotel.
I have had so much fun dining at this particular Seafood Restaurant with my Federal Government NASA Engineer Husband over the years. Sadly, my spouse has passed away from Cancer over 14 years, David had been a Patient of M. D. Anderson Cancer Hospital in the Houston Medical Center.
But I still eat at this Restaurant to remind myself of the best time I ever had was being married to my Husband, David.
The Seafood is all delicious but ask for the French Fries to be on the Crispy side & served on a separate Plate. The Tarter Sauce is really good plus they have a nice Aquarium in the restaurant.
Sincerely,
Debra L. Ray R. N, B. S. N.
