Beckett Cottingham Apartments, Houston TX

I have nothing but great things to say about the leasing agents and maintenance guys. They have exceptional customer service and great response time to any of my concerns. We love our unit and all amenities. I would definitely recommend this complex.

I’ve been here for about two months now and I haven’t had a problem with this community yet. I love my apartment as well as the leasing consultants. Cathleen always calls to make sure my work orders are complete. With the apartments being brand new I did expect to experience some problems but they have always been available to fix those problems!

Me and my friend came from out of state & toured today, such a beautiful property especially the kitchen! Big shoutout to Jada! She was such a great tour guide! 10/10 experience because of her!

Beautiful property. Amazing staff. And nice residents. That’s exactly what you need when you’re looking for a place to call home. Cathleen in the leasing office is very professional and has an answer for all my questions.

I’m Really grateful to be apart of this community of wonderful residents. Jada and Cathleen are great people, always smiling and being nice. Overall very peaceful place to live and great amenities.

I really wish I could give 0 stars because the service they provide here is very unprofessional. I couldn't get approval to be a resident because they said the system said pending, they kept me waiting for 11 days and without calling me, they informed me of the status of my residence.my application until I had to contact the corporation to explain the situation and in the end they said it was because of some of my credit, and thank GOD now I found a better place to live

First off, I just want to mention I hate leaving bad reviews. I usually only review a business when I feel like the service was outstanding, and typically when something goes wrong I give the business a chance to correct it.

Before moving into Beckett Cottingham, I hope you see this review and take it into serious consideration. THE APARTMENTS HERE ARE INFESTED WITH FIRE ANTS. When I say infested, I don't mean just a few here and there, literally everywhere in my unit is infested with fire ants. The kitchen, the bathroom, the closet, the bedroom, laundry room, everywhere.

These are not live-able conditions, please don't be fooled with the nice amenities, and the fact that this apartment complex is brand new. There's apartment complexes around the area that are bug and fire ant free.

I moved in on 8-26, and told the leasing agent about the fire ants on 8-27. Keep in mind, every resident in this community pays for pest control monthly. She said they would come and treat the ants on Monday, 8-28 and the pest control never came to my unit. Fast forward to yesterday, she told me "They should be here on Tuesday". I have been living with fire ants for over a week and the response from the leasing office is that they "should be" here Tuesday to spray for the ants. This is a leasing company that only cares about getting tenants leased, not about what their experience is like afterwards. Let's face is, they get to live here and pay 1/3 the rent normal tenants pay, so they don't really care. The other leasing agent told me "this apartment complex was built in a field, so there's going to be ants". That response literally makes no sense, every single building/structure whether apartments, restaurants, homes, business are built in a field. There are no concrete pads produced by mother nature waiting for humans to build new structures. The company that built these apartments didn't properly treat the ground before building, so the ants just made the new building their home.

Now you may think it's just my unit that has ants, or I might be dirty, or I leave food out etc. I have asked many different tenants in this community if they have fire ants in their units and they have all said yes. One gentleman said his dog has been stung on multiple occasions from the fire ants. This is an issue the leasing agents have known about, and choose not to share when moving in. The leasing agent herself told me her personal apartment is full of fire ants.

"Multiple fire ant stings may cause vomiting, diarrhea, swelling throughout the body, shortness of breath, low blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, and shock. " This is information I gathered from Google on the severity of fire ants, at this point I am concerned for my health living in this apartment.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS when choosing this complex as your new home, if you're okay with fire ants surrounding you 24/7 it's a good place to live. If you feel like you shouldn't be living with fire ants while paying $1,500/month I suggest you don't move in here.

I'm thrilled to share that my apartment community is truly exceptional. The amenities are top-notch, from the well-maintained swimming pool to the state-of-the-art fitness center. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly, always going the extra mile to address any concerns. The apartments themselves are spacious, modern, and elegantly designed, offering a comfortable and stylish living experience. With its convenient location and beautiful landscaping, this community has truly exceeded my expectations.

Jada was everything! Unfortunately I did not move here but Jada was so patient and concerned throughout my process. She did a virtual tour because I didn't live in the city. She worked with and for me. She checked in and made sure everything was going well. I appreciate Jada for being such a blessing. Based on what I saw virtually I have been sending people between my current complex and you guys! I wish you all the best!

Toured on Saturday with Cathleen and it went great! She was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The complex is beautiful.

I do wanna say that Jada helped me in communicating with me in many ways.but whoever the person who is in their leasing teams ears need to have them at a better understanding because there confused which makes other buyers confused in this whole process I had issues trying too be apart of this community. Because at some Points the communication became confusing & horrible here I am on the day I’m Supposed too “move in “ as I was told & a document that there asking for wasn’t even stated when I asked if I need too submit anything else & not only that I turned on the lights already & was even getting wifi put in the inside, when I was asking about an email too make sure what did I need to cover what’s needed in the email, I was then told that I was officially approved & that email was just for me submitting an extra $350 & Jada even changed my move in date & apartment #. Get another call on the day I’m packing my car stating that I needed tax returns anywhere so now it’s like am I approved or am I not approved. CONFUSING. I haven’t had that issue. I feel like someone just didn’t want to let me in & just wants money. You guys took my money, wasted my time & happiness & efforts not even just that & then they give me near minimum time to have things ready because I’m
Not being told ahead of time …. How do you cancel an application, that was told to your “ Tenants “ that was approved? This makes absolutely no sense.

So far, everything has been great. I love the communication between the leasing staff; Cathleen, Luella, & Jada. The community is very quiet at the moment and is peaceful. The kitchen marble tops and spaceious layout were a plus for me. The gym has everything you need for a nice workout. The pool has been my favorite amenity & stays open a decent amount of time. I was also thankful to be able to rent a detachable garage as well, and it really made it easier to decide on applying for a lease. 5 stars for Beckett Cottingham.

Toured an apartment a couple of weeks ago. The person that showed me (can't remember her name), was so nice and took a ton of time with me even though I'm not sure when I will be ready to move. Beautiful place. So pretty. Can't wait to be ready to get an apartment.

Great staffing. I been treated greatly and I can’t thank the staffing for making this process so much better. So, so far really good. Highly recommend.

Jada was very helpful and professional! She gave a wonderful tour of the grounds and answered all of my questions! This property is beautiful and well hidden! Can't wait to visit that pool!

The community was simply beautiful. Cathleen was extremely helpful and made the process amazing. Luella also put brunch pleasantries together for the guests and it was great. The grounds were clean both inside and outside. I’m glad I signed my lease immediately. Both Cathleen and Luella made the visit very helpful with making my decision.

Apartment hunting in the area and loved these. It's a new build and everything is very nice. The staff is very kind and informative.

I loved the apartments everything was beautiful and very spacious. I love the vibe and energy as soon we walk in. Especially how Jada was super helpful and very welcoming made us feel very comfortable and welcoming.
