Berry Family Pools reviews
5Walked in store, greeted by a barking Dachshund - turned and walked out. Sales lady didn’t even bother to walk to door. Oh - I was there to shop for a new, bigger pool!
Went in to get a few things we needed for our pool. There must’ve been 8 employees behind the counter, not a single one greeted us with a hello, can I help you or someone will be right with you. So we waited and waited while the 2 customers ahead of us were finished and finally I asked for assistance. I needed a vacuum hose and scummed. It was obviously ann inconvenience maybe bc they were closing in. 30 minutes. Sold me the wrong hose by the time I got home they were closed.
Next time I’ll wing it and order from Amazon!
Terrible customer service for this “ family business” Definitely will NOT return and would rather take my chances at wal mart.
Do better!
Fantastic staff, Bentley entertains the staff and customers there as he patrols the floor. Mackenzie has done wonders fixing my nightmare of a pool. They are cheaper than Leslie's and go out of their way to help their customers. I drive from Avinger, Texas to their store in Longview for all my pool supplies and testing.
We thought we were getting the best of the best in the area when we decided to go with Berrry's. (Because that's what we were told). The sales people spent just as much time talking down other pool stores as they did talking about the positives of their products. That was pretty tacky in my opinion but we liked the sound of a sturdier frame above anything so we went with them.
A year into owning our pool we needed repairs because there was a rip in the lining caused by a storm. But that also caused the lined to come unattached. We reached out for assistance, it took multiple visits and phone calls over a span of months for someone to finally come take a look. When he finally arrived he told us, "I don't fix liners. I fix filters but I'll take pictures and take it back to the store. " And proceeded to talk shxt on the phone with his manager about us.
My husband decided to go into the store to talk to someone face to face again now that they had pictures from one of their own employees. Yes there was anger involved but is laughing at an injured veteran the day after memorial day, because he's frustrated your store is treating him like a laughing stock really the most respectful way to handle the situation?
At the end of it all, they laughed him out of the store and told us to just we should just go our separate ways. Essentially, eff you we're not fixing anything.
We were not looking for any freebies. We just wanted to give then our money to get the pool fixed that they made so many promises on. The owner herself was out on the floor laughing. Be warned, once they've gotten your money, you're just another paycheck to them and the customer service you thought was so great will become non-existant.
**We could go back and forth all day. But at the end of the day you know what you did. We NEVER asked for anything for free. As a matter of fact, we came into the store and said, "We just want to give someone money to fix our pool. " You did not send anyone out UNTIL he lost his temper and we contacted you over the phone and came into the store multiple times. You even tried to offer to fix our pool and take our money IF he removed the reviews. When he missed my honest review, you retracted your offer which is fine. We've been helped by Swimming Pool Superstores and have been able to get the repairs we wanted. Have a blessed day. **
