Got my little Fred in fast and did more for him than any vet I have been to in 18 years. Yes he is 18 and they cared

Very sharp vet in a very unassuming location. We pass several vet offices to see Dr. Hardy, and it is well worth it

I had a great first visit here for our pup. Dr. Bob is very knowledgeable and us being being a first time puppy owner helped us clarifying a lot of our doubts and concerns.

Vet here seems to really know his stuff. He is really down to earth, lets you know all of the options, and doesn't speak in complete medical jargon, but also doesn't speak down to you.

I took my sick beardie to Dr. Bob. She had a bump on her tail. He gave us oral antibiotics and sent us home. Later I noticed she was getting worse and took her back. He was humble enough to suggest I take her to a vet with more experience with beardies. I went and the other doctor failed us. I frantically called Best Vet and Dr. Bob amputated her tail that day. He saved her life and I will forever be grateful.

Paws down the Best Vet ever! The whole staff is amazing. Everyone is super friendly, always personable and welcoming and helpful. Everyone's always in a great mood and smiling and genuinely make you feel comfortable. They absolutely love what they do and it shows in the care they give to your fur babies. They offer inside visits or curbside. I cannot imagine taking my pets anywhere else. We bring all 5 doggos here from a blind senior aged to a bity baby puppy. Highly highly recommend! Wish i could give more than 5 stars.

I’ve been visiting Best Vet for about 5 years now. It’s been the best experience for our fur kids. Both of our rabbits and our pup have been here since day 1! We love the Doctors and all the staff are so nice and professional and Dr Bob is wonderful since he’s the OG doctor. Thank you for being great to us all!

What a great place! I am new to Austin and was looking for a Vet for my new fur baby and have found a place that we feel at home. I called and spoke with Red she was so nice and helpful and got me in the same day. I arrived and called letting them know I was here and they asked if I would like curbside or wait for a open room. I chose to wait for a room and the place is small but so homey and comfortable feeling like the old school Vets I've always had. Once in the room Sam the Vet Tech was awesome, nice and caring. Then I met with the Doctor and total old school, down to earth he was great he said I'm Bob wow he didn't introduce himself as Dr. So n So just simply Bob. The check out with Tera was smooth and again super nice, down to earth (she even reminded me of a friend back home for me another sign I chose the right place). I highly recommend taking your fur babies here it's refreshing to find a place that is all about "our pets" which is what it is all about. Thank you Best Vet for the great welcoming service today Austin Mina and I are very blessed. Austin Mina gives it two paws up.

Even though Best Vet had to assist with a heartbreaking situation for my family, I still only feel deep gratitude when I drive by and see their big yellow sign. They are so patient, caring, kind, communicative, transparent, understanding.and so many more amazing things. In a world where most business are focused on statistics and revenue, Best Vet breaks the mold by bringing back the human element. I have been to several vets in town and I had no idea I was right around the corner from the very best! Finally, no need to call around, price check + look over reviews to make a decision. ALL of my pets will go here from now on, and I will recommend them to everyone! The name really says it all. Thank you so much, Best Vet!

Took my kitty here for some minor symptoms of watery eyes and some wheezing and they were so helpful! What a kind staff! The vet tech was so sweet to my cat barbie and so friendly. Dr. Bob was really amazing and the price was really reasonable for the service we received. I’m always anxious about vets from previous experiences but I loved it here. Recommend to anyone!

Very nice caring professionals. I highly recommend them. I will continue to use them as it seems they treat and care for the patient as well as the owner.

Dr. Bob and his staff seem to be whisperers of all things furry. They have always been responsive and knowledgeable in the treatment of our pets and were sympathetic and helpful when our 22 year old pup passed last month. The truly seem more interested in caring for our animals than (like many vets) finding inventive ways to charge more money. The only thing that would stop us from going there is if he retires.

Prices are cheap but it is reflective of the service. I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment and 50 minutes later I was still waiting in my car for a an appointment room to open up. I tried calling to see if the wait be over soon, got put on hold, they never picked up so I left a message indicating I was leaving. 10 minutes later they called to let me know I could come in. No apology for the wait, no explanation. So my poor cat just spent an hour hanging out in the back seat in a carrier wondering what is going on. What is going on is we're finding another place to take my cat!

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Hardy (and his staff) and my experience at his vet clinic. For 2 years of living in Austin I was a client at VCA, and a member of their care club plan of $110 (dental senior plan) per month for my senior basset hound Juno whose 13 years old. VCA has always been (and continues to become very costly). I dreaded each of my visits. Juno had a mass growing between the toes of her front right paw. VCA examined her and said they would need to amputate the entire toe because of the size of the mass, which shocked me because I never thought chopping off my elderly dog's toe was the right solution. Dr. Broussard at VCA recommended I go to Central Vet Hospital for a second opinion because she felt she could NOT perform the removal of the 1.5 centimeter mass. Having visited Central Vet Hospital last year for a different ailment and spending $3000, I was panicked! We are all living on tight budgets considering the economy and outrageous rising costs of living in Austin. I did a Google search for Vet's that I wanted to get a second opinion from, and found BEST VET. The majority of the reviews were great, so I decided to bring Juno in for an exam and second opinion. I met with Dr. Hardy who is a very no nonsense, down to earth and knowledgeable Veterinarian. He was confused as to why VCA would recommend amputation when he felt he could remove the mass. I was nervous for Juno because she's an old girl but with much energy and life left in her. I was given two estimates. One was for the mass removal and the second was for the mass removal with dental added on because Juno would be under anesthesia anyway and was due for dental. Both estimates were explained to me carefully by the vet tech and were exceptionally reasonable in price compared to the other estimates I received. At no point did I feel pressured to add on unnecessary services as I did at VCA. I scheduled the surgery and dental cleaning a week later. Juno did fantastic! She is recovering nicely from her surgery and no amputation was needed. She has her follow up check up this week. I can't thank Dr. Hardy and his staff enough as his expertise, frank and honest feedback gave me the chance to make an educated decision on how to move forward with zero pressure. After this wonderful experience I am now a client at Dr. Hardy's clinic. He and his staff which include Red, Tera at the front desk are so helpful. The clinic is closed on the weekends but open Monday - Friday. The cost of the exam was $50 which was also very reasonable! Thank you Dr. Hardy for saving my girl's toe and improving her quality of life.

Note: I notice some reviews complain about the wait time. Best Vet isn't a massive chain corporation of Vet clinics where you're only a number and the only care is getting the most out of your wallet. Best Vet is small clinic open only 5 days a week. They do their absolute best to see clients as quickly as possible. The savings and expertise are worth the occasional small wait time.
