Best Western Plus Southpark Inn & Suites, Tyler TX

This has to be the worse BW experience ever employee was very rude and they made a mistake and couldn’t even get a im sorry just very rude will never stay in another best western! Like take care of your customers!

Stayed this past weekend.pool was closed and outdoors. The remote was broken so had to hold it a certain way to use it
Would have taken my money somewhere else

Very reasonable and looked in a good area. Parking is close in well lighted. My room was clean and neatly appointed. My bed could have been better as far as comfort but linens were clean and shower was adequate. Would stay here again for the locale and price.

Very clean and nice staff. Nice hot breakfast available. In a very busy section of town so the traffic was bad, but we did not hear much of the traffic during the night. There are many, many restaurants within a few blocks, i.e. Golden Coral, Applebee's, Olive Garden, etc. We will definitely stay here again.

I booked the room for 7 days. The first night everything was ok. Nights 2 and 3 the tv only showed 1 channel. The 4th night the freezer stops working and all our ice cream melts but the tv started working. The 5th night the smoke alarm kept beeping all night making it hard to sleep. So I left the hotel to stay with my mom at the villa because of all the problems. I came back on checkout day. They did have complimentary breakfast and coffee

Tv didn't work right could not tell what channel you were in and staff was rude when we asked about at 10 am someone tried to come in our room supposably a maid we got a extended stay still beated on our door

I live in Bullard, but work long hours in Tyler, therefore I love to go here when I’m to exhausted to drive home. I specifically stay in 119 because I’ve had the best sleep in this room than I have had in a long staff is awesome late night staff that is. And the best part yet you buy two get one free on the rewards program to thumbs up thank you best western

Having never been to Tyler, TX, I picked this place based on previous reviews.too bad they were inaccurate! First room I spent about 5 mins in. The bed was so worn I could feel every spring in the mattress and the AC had a very high pitch squeal. So I got another room wish I hadn't.the AC was stuck at 66, during a heat wave (previous room could set to 62!). The mattress was a tad it better but the room was gross. Several flies and garbage on the floor. Plus the bathroom was clearly not cleaned. The room was nonrefundable of course but had it not been so late I probably would of just checked out. Also it was a non smoking room but smelt like mildew and smoke. Do yourself a favor and do NOT stay here.

We were not informed the hotel was under renovations and the pool was not in working order. The breakfast was not desireable except for the waffles. The renovations were poorly evidenced. Paint all over the carpet. No furniture in lobby. The breakfast area where you could sit was closed after breakfast was served. The checkin staff was rude, but the cleaning people were very nice.

They were obviously doing some renovation but the sheets were stained and one of the bed sheets had a hole in it. The pool was a little dirty (cloudy water and had debris floating in it). The bathroom door didn't shut all the way, which meant there wasn't full privacy for when we would use the restroom or shower. There's a good chance that I won't book here again in the future.

My stay was the worst I ever had. We were informed that that was construction in the lobby only. We stayed on 2nd floor at the Tyler Texas South Best Western. The floor was hallway was spotted horribly with paint that was an awful smell.it's an awful smell it was a horrible experience
We complained about about the hotel ask if we could check out we were told 20 minutes had passed it was too late. We checked out the next day complained again they were not willing to make any kind of allowances. Customer relationship with the manager was horrible she screamed at the customer.

This was the second time i stayed here. We arrived at the hotel after midnight. The first time wasn't bad, but this time the place smelled like mildew. They were doing "renovations" which looked to me like an excuse for things being torn up. We stayed on the 3rd floor in the same room both times (only one that has 2 separate rooms.) Since there is only 1 elevator on the other side of the hotel we use the stairs that come out right next to the room. As soon as I opened the door to the third floor I could see carpet that was ripped and raised up and the trim was pulled partially off the wall both right in the doorway to the point I had to warn my kids to be careful not to trip (didn't look like this area was currently being renovated) The room was not clean smelled bad, the shower had no water pressure, the bathroom fan was on a timer that only worked part of the time. Couldn't get on the wifi. The card says if you need a password call the front desk but the phone didn't work (room had 2 phones neither worked.) In the morning I went to the front desk to get change for the vending machine (bill acceptor not working) and couldn't find anybody working to give change. Will be finding a different place to stay anytime I go to Tyler in the future.

Extremely nice hotel with pleasant staff. Breakfast was awesome and fresh. The location is right in the middle of everything, restaurants, drug stores, shopping malls. The location can't be beat. The only issue I had was we stayed during remodeling and it got kinda noisy.

Made a reservation for two nights. Picked this place based on reviews on Google and reviews on Expedia. Both stated the hotel was nice and clean.
Spent about 5 minutes in the room before we went back downstairs and asked the front desk for a refund. There was a pill on the floor, dead bugs, dust bunnies. Place was absolutely disgusting and filthy.

We stayed in this hotel first weekend of April there was a roach in our room I told the front desk and she just brushed it off like it was okay I was very unhappy

Had a great breakfast, beds slept good, staff was friendly and helpful. Room had a odd smell we noticed when returning everytime. Smelled almost like Copenhagen chewing tobacco. Odd, but only smelled it for a couple of minutes each time. Water pressure in shower could have been better and they use one of those holders in the shower that has the shampoo/conditioner/body wash in it, body wash was empty and didn't get filled while we were staying, glad I brought my own. Free Wifi is a plus.

Well pillows are like center blocks found crackers in the bed carpets was extremely dirty mold in the bathroom they have a little remodeling going on so the hammering and the noise starts about 8: 00 in the morning for $150 I expected a little bit more leisure very disappointed

The staff was rude right from the start. They started to tell me that my fiance and I could not stay because of her service dogs. They charged their mind after seeing her doctors letter for her service dogs.
However after calling the police for the entire hallway smelling like Marijuana. The next morning they told us we could not extend our stay because of the service dogs. All caught on recording.
We called the Best Western corporate customer service number. The lady from customer service called the location with us on hold. Upon returning to our call she said when she told them at the front desk they couldn't kick us out for the service dogs they said it didn't matter that we couldn't extend our stay because of the dogs.

Absolutely dumbfounded this hotel will not follow ADA federal laws. We're told we could NOT stay because of my 2 registered service dogs upon checking yesterday. I explained the laws and they gave us our prepaid room. Upon trying to extend through tonight I was told you must leave because of your Ada service dogs. Corporate even called to inform them this is a federal law and these dogs cannot be turned away. Glad we got the front desk lady on camera saying it. Formal complaint started. Breakfast was good. Room was good. Service. DISGUSTING.last time a best western refused service dogs I found an article on yahoo about how they were required to remove all best western logos and we're no longer affiliated with best western until all employees went through training on how to treat people with disabilities and comply with ADA laws. It took 6 months. Happy training tyler Texas best western!
