Best Western Refugio Inn

Worst place to stay. We stayed overnight and the room smelled like mold. I'm pregnant and it was hard to breathe. If I can save you your money and time, don't stay here. We only stayed 1 hour and couldn't handle the smell of the room. We left and checked out and was told we can speak to a manager about a refund. We called the hotel and got the run around until finally my husband called and no manager was on site. Right after him, I called and finally got an answer, mind you, this took 2 weeks to obtain, only for them to tell me they can't give us a refund or anything at all for our trouble. I'm sorry, but that is sad customer service.: (
We will not be staying at a best western from now on.

The room was fine but after getting there was a camping fee charged on top of room charge. Call credit card people to have it taken off

For a small town hotel it is in pretty decent shape. The staff is wonderful and attentive. The rooms could just use a little updating and care. We stay there twice a year and will continue to come back!

Nice, clean room. Comfy bed. Perfect for the weekend stay to see family. It is located off the main (4 lane) road so we could still hear the traffic. We were in a room in the front and on the end.maybe it's a little quieter on the back side.

The hot breakfast was a joke! I company I work for expects me to eat the breakfast as part of the perdeem! At 6: 20 am

Stay here for work often, it's not the best, and the rooms feel a bit damp. But the best one in town. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and the rooms are clean.

No elevator so my 75 yr old dad with mobility issues had to climb the stairs because their handicap room was out of order.

Everything was good but pool had to much chemicals and we're not used properly, the floor felt muddy.

Clean rooms. No elevator. Free breakfast was gone by 7: 45 by the contract workers who stayed there. No breakfast for us.

Front desk lady was nice, the manager on duty was nice. The higher up manager that they called to make sure that we could bring our pet in if we paid a fee yelled at her employees basically saying no matter what fee we paid no pets were allowed. Trashy behavior.

The only reason we were willing to pay the fee was because we searched “Pet Friendly Hotels” and this one popped up but apparently it’s NOT:)

Extremely overpriced, bad mildew smell all over the hotel, wet carpets throughout the room, door locks did not work. Not clean at all. When stating these concerns for almost $200 a night staff was less than empathetic,

Worst experience ever the lady at the front desk was very rude don’t recommend if you have little ones

Very clean, recently remodeled rooms, friendly an accommodating staff (they treat you like family), and reasonable pricing make for a great value!

DONT STAY HERE! YOUR BETTER OFF IN Americans Best Value. Keys to the rooms don't work had to go about 4 times and still didn't work properly. The management was Horrible and did not give us the room requested on our reservation.

Got a room on the 2nd floor and guess what NO ELEVATOR! With bad knees, hard to take the 2 flights of stairs. The bathroom tiles were loose, no grout. Shower leaked. The tv didn’t work. Dresser messing drawers, the desk chair torn. This is an OLD place that needs to be torn down or REMODELED!
