Best Western San Marcos

Room was ok; hotel located near a very busy interstate, had to run the A/C all night to drown out the highway noise.

Great location in San Marcos! We are greeted with friendly staff from our arrival through departure. Our visits are for business but would be a great location if for family. Rooms, dining and hallways are kept clean, and no funky odors.

Room service was really nice.receptionist was also very nice and really patient breakfast is really good as well. Very warm and welcoming. A great place to stay hotel and room to really clean.

Hotel is right off I35 but somehow my room was quiet! It was on the far side but still a first for the area. Doesn’t look like much from the outside and not super new, but they clearly maintain things and care about their guest’s experience. Breakfast much better than others in the price range also.

I recently stayed two nights at this BW while visiting Texas State University. Check-in was efficient, with the staff member asking if I wanted a second floor (no elevator in this hotel) or a first floor room - I chose second floor. The hotel is conveniently located next to Fuego, a restaurant with decent food. Unlike most BW hotels, this one recognized my BW Platinum status and offered two complimentary bottles of water at check-in. The room was satisfactory, nothing fancy, but also adequately met my needs (particularly with close proximity to the university). Compared to other BW hotels, the complimentary continental breakfast was below average - principally scrambled eggs, a breakfast 'casserole' of sorts, and some pastries. I stopped by a local HEB grocery store and picked up a Muscle Milk for protein, not a big deal, particularly considering BW breakfasts aren't usually comparable to those of Hilton to begin with. The second floor room, on the other side of the building from I35, was quiet - no issues with traffic noise. I would stay here again during a future visit to San Marcos.

Best Western in San Marcus, TX is clean. The front desk attendant greeted us warmly. Our room was on the first floor away from the pool.
We found the room to be clean. The towels looked as if they new. We would stay here again.

Our main concern was AC, bed comfort and shower pressure and all were perfect.staff was very professional and friendly.i don't stay at Best Western too often and i know they have been around a while (the room furniture shows the age) but it was nice and treated my military family perfectly. Thank you!

The hotel has a weird smell in general but my room had a smell that did not go away that seemed to get worse every time we returned to it. The bathroom sink had a weird black stuff in it and the showers water pressure was bad. The shower also barely was able to do cold water and 90% of the turn was the same boiling temperature.

It was a great stay, rooms were clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Near to the outlets and so many stores and restaurants to visit. The only thing I didn’t like it was the accessibility due to the construction ongoing on the highway. But I recommend it.

As one should expect from the price and locale of this hotel, it's not super luxurious. However, the customer service was great.

We stayed there for two nights for an event. We happen to have family in the area, and our fam met us at the lobby and pool area for an impromptu family reunion. The employees were gracious in allowing us to take over the lobby for our visit. I really appreciate their hospitality in allowing us to hang out, have a meal, and visit.

The rooms themselves are not fancy, but clean and everything was in good working order. The breakfast was out during the advertised hours and was more than adequate.

I appreciate this hotel's staff for their customer service and cleanliness efforts.

All staff was very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were clean. Great air condition, beds were super comfy. We enjoyed our time at the pool which was clean. They even let us extend our checkout time. We will definitely be staying here again! 5 ️!

Location is very easy to access, both front desk employees that we dealt with were very nice and accommodating. Rooms were dated but very clean and beds were comfortable. No elevator to second floor but they let us choose to be on first floor due to this.

We had a communication barrier when checking in. In my opinion the rooms are not up to Best Western standards. The towels were stained and the room was not clean. I had an additional charge on my credit card that I didn’t approve of. I called the hotel directly to inquire about the charge. After speaking with the front desk they hung up on me. Just not a good experience at all.

This place was awful. I've been staying at Best Westerns for a long time and I am a Gold Member and this was the worst BW I've ever stayed at. This room was just gross. There was something disgusting on the wall next to the bed above the bedside table. The chair in the room was completely worn out and gross it should have been thrown away years ago.

The only bad was our door didn’t work right the whole time we were there EVERY TIME we left our room we had to get a new key and the staff was fully aware! Should have offered us another room or a discount!

My family and I stayed there. It was a wonderful stay! The beds were comfy and a/c was cold all night long. I was really impressed with the service. The evening person, young girl with red hair, was super down to earth, and helpful. She was busy but kept a smile and was very efficient. In the morning, the breakfast was good. I was really impressed because the gentleman (Johnny), was really warm and welcoming. He made sure we had what we needed before he started cleaning up. Also, some guests were really rude and made a huge mess! Johnny was so pleasant with them the whole time. I was impressed! Top notch service and a comfortable bed. Also, pool is a nice size! My kids absolutely loved it. Hours were 11am-11pm. Great location. We will be back. Thank you!

Good service, there is a 5ft deep pool, WiFi, and a guest laundry area as well to wash those wet clothes.
