Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector reviews
22If I could give this place a -10 that would be great, arrived at 843 am left at 945 am, no service, they are like Walmart 29 cashiers with only a Handful open. Just wanted a Disabled Placard, no Service after 1 hr waiting, someone needs to Reorganize this outfit, or FIRE the whole bunch and start NEW.
The line only moves quick enough in the first two hours of operation, otherwise you have a line just to get in the door extending all the way to the McDonald’s parking lot. There are people bare faced, coughing and sneezing within close proximity to eachother. There’s this ghetto plastic hanging from the ceilings to act as “partitions”. And the woman at desk 13 is a total b*tch. If you hate your job? Leave! It’s 9: 00am there’s no reason to be that unpleasant yet.
Today “Rosalie G” assisted me and she was wonderful! Usually I hate coming to this place, but she really made the experience less stressful and even told me I could visit her next time I needed some help! Oh, and she’s not too bad on the eyes either LOL. Thank you Rosalie!
Joshua stayed after closing to help me with my registration. I was flustered because I thought I had all my paperwork ready to go but my state insurance was still under VA. He was very calm and friendly and waited for me to handle that with my insurance company. I appreciated his customer service and help through the process. Doing car stuff like this always leaves me a nervous wreck, but at least I only had to make one trip and not come back.
GPS will send you in a loop- so find the UPS store and then keep going until you LOOP all the way around that building. It’s behind all the businesses. It’ll save you the hassle, trust me.
They charge you $1.50 for paying with debit and $2.50 for credit. I was told that my card had to run as credit even though it was a debit card so I paid in cash.then the lady proceeds to use a marker and a light on EVERY. SINGLE. BILL. Very slowly. And very meticulously. Someone give her a raise, she clearly needs one *eye roll*.
Wait time isn’t as bad as it was after reopening. BUT I WAS STUCK HERE FOR ALMOST 3 HOURS.
The first staff to assist me was nice but I was missing some papers so I went back to my car to grab them. She told me to come back after and wait until she finishes assisting someone. 50 minutes after she helped the guy, SHE CLOSED HER WINDOW. I waited for almost an hour for her to finish up and she took her happy self up and left for lunch. I’m livid at this point. I’m practicing social distancing so trying to get back to the ticket booth was a huge pain. I finally had a second lady assist me and her attitude is pure stinky. She moves at the speed of the sloth from zootopia, that movie did not exaggerate one bit.
Rosalie is Rude and nasty customer service. I had to ask for the manager to help figure things out. She kept looking at her watch because it’s almost close time
It all depends on the clerk. I got my lucky day sitting the booth No. 7 for the application for the title and registration, she was unnecessarily very picky and needed to come back with the letter from the seller to verify/reconfirm the date on the title transfer is accurate. Who's the winner if she handles like this? Nobody! I need to come back, someone (could be this woman) needs to take care of my registration!
Ok here's my issue. The tax collector has been promoting the program that you can delay getting your auto inspection / registration because of covid 19. But. What they don't tell you is if you do delay you can not renew on line and MUST go to the office and stand in a line that wraps around the building outside!
Took some time figuring out where i was supposed to go to take care of things, but once i got there, it was smooth sailing in and out
If you go early.right when they open you will have a short wait. Some staff of the staff is friendly but then you have the ones that are not. I understand it's customer service.
Efficiency in action. I got there before they opened, about 9 people in front of me and once I got a ticket, I was helped in less than 30 minutes. Definitely not what I expected. I was helped by Ms. Wahl and just know that she goes above and beyond to take care of people. She assisted me in my transition to San Antonio from another state and her helpfulness made the process so easy! Thank you again for a great experience.
Went last August to renew auto registration. Drew a number that put me 35th in line. I thought I would have to wait at least two hours but 17 workstations were open and it took only 25 minutes to get to my number. An average transaction time of less than a minute per customer.
Outstanding efficiency and friendliness. I was in and out in 20’, and the people there were great. They should be proud.
The best and fastest service provider.
We went to register our new car and in 20 minutes we were done.
Thank you
Quick and easy service. A lot faster than any other state I've lived in and this is in a large city!
Place sucks, a notarty public of the state of texas dont hold up and your clients are called liers and foregers then they ask if you even have the money to cover the transaction! Terrible customer service and i will never go back to this location.
I just went in to renew my vehicle license plates, abandoning personalized plates (the price of which doubled), and picking up new regular plates. The automated, prioritizing ticketing-in process resulted in a very short wait to get to the counter, where a polite employee quickly took care of providing the new plates. The whole process was quick and pleasant. Kudos to the Assessor-Collectors office for providing an efficient process for Bexar County citizens!
In.and.out! Super fast, super friendly. I did come at about 5: 30 on their late day too, that saved my life! Awesome rep too, very friendly and explained everything well. I love my city!
I had an issue registering my vehicle title and although I had to deal with 3 different departments everyone I encountered were very kind and helpful. Kudos!
Fast their system is effective before going to the tax office was a whole day thing now even when is packed u are out in usually less than 1 hour. Most of the employees are nice and in a good mood.
