Beyond The Veil reviews
2In an effort to drum up business, I was included on a mass text that gave my contact info out to everyone included on the text thread. This was an incredible invasion of privacy and the excuse was basically that she doesn’t understand technology. Unacceptable. I will never patronize this business again.
Groupon Customers, BEWARE: Before buying their Groupon, I researched Beyond the Veil to know what I should expect, and I learned that this company is owned and operated by "Deb", and that she is the massage therapist. I read the glowing reviews about her and read that she is trained in cranio-sacral therapy, which I was interested in, and that she has over 10 years of experience. (The Groupon itself mentions both of these facts in the What You'll Get section.) I decided to give her a try since the Groupon was a great price. When I showed up for my massage, it was in fact NOT Deb, but a different, young woman. She was dressed very unprofessionally, wearing jeans, tennis shoes, and a tight t-shirt. I was confused, but decided to go ahead with the massage since I had already taken time out of my day and driven there. FYI, I get massages at least 1x a month, and have tried many people over the years, so I know what is good and bad, and this was definitely bad. There is no way in the world that this gal had "over 10 years of experience" one, because of her age, and two, because you could tell that she really did not know what she was doing. The massage was not relaxing at all, but bothersome and painful at times, there was absolutely no "cranial-sacral therapy", and to top it all off, she actually hurt my neck at the end of the massage by stretching it in weird ways with way too much pressure. Unfortunate that Deb has decided to pawn off her "cheap" Groupon customers to this gal instead because I was really interested in trying her out. Buyer beware!
