B.HOM Student Living, Dallas TX

My apartment complex was recently purchased by B. HOM, and I read in the information about the company that residents were sent after this purchase, that b.hom has a philosophy to "provide a wildly awesome living experience for our residents by offering amenities and services that go above and beyond expectations. " Unfortunately, the amenities and services that I have received fail to meet even my most modest expectations, and I have been consistently lied to by management. I find this behavior completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and unethical. I have been treated very disrespectfully and I am immensely disappointed by my apartment's failure to live up to the expectations that they advertised to me when I signed my lease here. I am also disappointed that B. HOM's website has no way to contact higher ups, as their contact form will only send your complaints to the leasing office of your apartment, which in my case will accomplish nothing because my apartment's management has proved that they will not take any complaints seriously. I would strongly reccommend against living in any B. HOM properties to anyone who expects to be treated with courtesy and basic respect.

B. HOM owns Stadium Apartments in Fort Collins, CO. Once mold was found growing in one of the apartments after repeated maintenance requests had been ignored, the students got nothing but the runaround from both Stadium and B. HOM. B. HOM's internal lawyer was more concerned about spewing insults than he was about the health and safety of the students. Highly unprofessional and no concern for their tenants. Stay away!

The RISE building at the university of Hawaii isn't even finished and it's been a whole semester of operations. They promised us a maker space which was and still is plastered all over the marketing and yet it doesn't exist and no work has been done on it all semester. They said it would be done before the start of the semester then they pushed it to before fall break then now they say they don't know when it will be done. What's worse is I've been paying full price for an incomplete product. This is false advertising.

I am writing this review to share my experience with 21Rio, located in Austin, TX. Unfortunately, it has been a very disappointing experience for me. I have been overcharged for water bills without any explanation. Even though I live in a three-bedroom unit, I am paying over $300 a month for water. The management is non-existent, as there is no property manager onsite. In fact, two managers have quit in less than three months. The place is completely disorganized, and only a couple of students are working at the desk to help explain the failures or B. Hom. If you call them, they will never call you back.

I would advise everyone to not fall for the fake tour they provide. Instead, I encourage you to shop around, read reviews, and take a close look at the competition. Moreover, the place is dirty. When I moved in, the apartment was filthy, with sinks clogged, the bathroom vent completely clogged, the HVAC vent filthy, and the floor dirty and covered with overspray paint.

I suggest you take your own tour and ask to see a different apartment. Don't let them show you the "Show Apt".

Update 12/20/2023, In this review, Natalie with B. Hom promised to get in touch with me to address my concerns. However, it's already been 14 days and I haven't heard from anyone yet. I suggest you shop around and save yourself the trouble. As a parent, you should be spending your time supporting your kids, not managing their apartment issues.

Bhom student living took over the apartment complex I worked at and there is not a single positive thing I can say about them. They are basically running that apartment complex to the ground and then they wonder why no one chooses to renew and want to blame their on-site team for what does or doesn’t happen. Any concerns and resources needed for an on-site team to be great are 100% ignored and they basically tell you to figure it out on your own. I absolutely DO NOT recommend working for them because they will mentally and physically drain the life out of you. This company is the definition of over promising and under delivering. Good luck if you end up unfortunate enough to work for them!

Apartment is ok. Not in great condition for what paying. Cannot talk to anyone at complex. Always get a call center and those people are very friendly but unhelpful. Been waiting for weeks on a call back. I have to drive an hour to talk to anyone.

Renting from a B. HOM-managed apartment reveals their true colors – they present professionalism, only to discard it once they have your money. Even more alarming is their frequent use of threats, replacing constructive dialogue. Minor issues result in eviction warnings, and their refusal to engage amplifies the turmoil. This calculated avoidance of accountability leaves residents powerless and exposes their disregard for tenant concerns. It's evident that B. HOM's management is disreputable, relying on illicit fees, unprofessional behavior, and oppressive tactics. Steer clear of this dire situation, opting instead for an apartment with respectful management that prioritizes your well-being and peace of mind.

I am actually disappointed to write this review. I have always been a timely and respectful renter from the apartments in Murray Kentucky called the Murray apartments. Over the course of the past couple of weeks there has been some major discrepancy in rent charges, as well as zero communication from anybody at the local offices, as well as the corporate offices. I have contacted management in every form possible including email Facebook mail in person visits and phone calls. I have done absolutely everything I can to try and reach management but have not been able to do so and every time I am told I will be called back or the problem will be resolved and when they say it’s resolved it has not been resolved. I will get a different answer from every person that I called when I am actually able to speak to a person. I am always sent to voicemail and I’m told to wait while the company continues to add charges onto my account with little to no communication as to why when or how. I am desperate for answers and help at this point.

B. Hom took over my apartment complex and it’s been problems ever since! How do you guys keep taking over apartment complexes and don’t know how to run them correctly? The lack of customer service is terrible. I signed my lease prior to them taking over and they’re still trying to apply their new lease and policies to the current lease I’m in. The property and assistant manager are no help! This company is not for student living! Do not sign a lease with anything that has to deal with B’Hom!

They just took over my apartment complex, West 20 in Gainesville florida, since then their phone number does not go to the leasing office but instead a group of people that tell me my message will be relayed, My building has been OUT of wifi for 4 days and when I called the wifi company they said they were told to comeback 4 more days from TODAY! Unnaceptable leaving all of these kids without wifi for a week during midterm week.
